Where oh where have my DISboard friends gone? Oh where oh where can they be? Went and saw Batman Begins-have a new love in my life now by the name of Christian Bale. oohh la la! sshhh! don't tell my DH! but I am sure he noticed from all the oohhing and aahhing in the seat next to him. thank goodness I brought my little fan with me (never leave home without it! never know when that hot flash is gonna hit me!) so he thought I was just getting a little overheated from my lack of hormones! silly man! seriously though it was a great movie and i am not a batman fan! I even liked watching Katie but like Tom in TWOTW-I had to get past the whole freaky cult like behavior of hers lately! Oh well, hope all is well!

Darcy - I am here I hate to post alone so I was waiting around to see who else might show up for the party. Glad you stopped by!! I would like to see Batman Begins as well but we just don't manage many movies (ok actually it is virtually NO movies) since the kids were born. I really really miss going to the theater and I am looking forward to when the kids are older and we can go again.

Tomorrow is Friday - yay - another weekend on its way. I can't believe that one month from tomorrow my dd starts kindergarten. I am already getting teary-eyed thinking about it. They grow up soooo fast, sigh.....

hello double scoop cruisers!
I just made the final plans for my US and IOA trip in august. as you may remember my parents are moving to florida in a few weeks and they are meeting us at US and IOA for a few days. the plan was for us to try to get to their house for a day trip to see it, well, i decided i wanted to do more than that so i am sending my DH home on friday as scheduled (he has to work) and me and the kids are going back to Palm Coast with my parents until Monday! I also got them the non dolphin experience (the dolphin experience was sold out) at DC with us on the 18th. I was excited before but now I am sooo excited. we were able to change the flights for only the 75.00 charge-the fare was actually cheaper! I hope everyone is doing well.

Karen-how was the MAW celebration wasn't it this weekend?

Darcy - I can just hear the excitement you feel in your post when you write about the dolphins. I hope it turns out to be a spectacular day of long-lasting memories. I am looking forward to visiting DC when our kids are older - it looks wonderful!!

I'm Back!
I had my overnite with my 11 girl scouts at an indoor waterpark resort on Monday to Tuesday and now just a quick check in before my family and I go camping at Hocking Hills (about 3 1/2 hours south). Hope everyone is doing well!

Seems that everyone is quite busy - must be that time of year! School starts in only a couple of weeks for us so I know we are trying to squeeze in those last few activities before then.

Hi all!!


Okay ... I have been SUPER busy (I mean SUPER busy) and am forcing myself to post (rather that sleep) 'cuz I really wanted to say hi and share a bit about the Evening of Magic.

Our family was invited to represent Make A Wish at the Disney Cruise Line gala Evening of Magic last Saturday onboard the Magic, since my daughter is a Make A Wish ambassador (she speaks at local high schools and community events when a Wish Kid is requested) It was so incredible to be onboard again even for a short while, but it just made me miss the ship more!! Next September seems so far away!!

We had 4 hours of a "cruise experience" starting with the boarding, followed by the (awesome shrimp and sushi) buffet in Parrot Cay, to my Bahama Mamas on the 9th deck, to the show (Twice Charmed), to DJ Pike and Karen and Dazzler and the photo staff remembering us and welcoming us back on board.

The girls had a blast with meeting Raven and Ming-Na (Mulan) and Christy Romano (voice of Kim Possible) among others I did not recognize. My son spent a lot of time at the dessert buffet (must have eaten a dozen chocolate covered strawberries) and was overjoyed to find that the Arcade was open and all games were free!!

Now all I can think of is getting back on board as soon as possible!!

We will be at DL Monday and Tuesday ... does anyone want a pin, mug or ?? from the 50th anniversary? Just let me know.

Wow, I missed alot again. Alot has gone on with us and I just haven't had the time to write. We made our move to Florida. We arrived on July 3rd. Getting upacked, swimming in the pool everyday and having my inlaws in Disney for a week has made life very hectic but alas it is over. The kids go back to school on August 1st and I go back to work that day as well. I managed to land myself a job the first week we arrived which was a big relief. My husband's father gave us annual disney passes for Florida residents as a welcome to Florida present. We went every single day for the first two weeks. Way way way too hot for my taste. Waiting in long lines in 95-100 degree heat is crazy. I'm waiting for October so that it will be more bearable. What have I missed?

Hey everyone!
Well we made it through our first family camping trip! we survived the incredible heat, the humidity and the raccoons stealing our food! I had it in a secured tote with double hinges and I'll be darned-those little buggers figured how to unlatch and stole our hot dog and hamburg buns, marshmellows and loaf of bread! Must not be Atkins raccoons! we went horseback riding and visited Old Man's Cave a beautiful natural cave formed by water and wind. Will definitley do it again-maybe at another site though.

Hi Darcy - glad you enjoyed your camping trip despite those pesky raccoons!! DH would love for us to go camping but I just don't know if I am really a "roughing it" kind of girl. We are planning to visit Colorado (he wants to go to Estes Park) but we are staying in at least a cabin

Amanda 01 - glad to see you around! Hope you had a great time in TN. I agree the heat has been brutal although July in Texas is never anything but steaming hot!
