I finally got caught up on everyone's posts. As for packing, I have most everything packed. Well, I do have everything packed except for the things that we will continue to use, such as my makeup etc. I just received an e-mail saying that my pirates costume was shipped and would arrive by 12 noon on Tuesday. If it gets here, I am going to go to UPS and ship my box to the port. I called and they said no problem if it gets there early. They said it is logued in with the date to put it on the ship. As for signs, my were really bad until I got on and PMed some of the people who were posting on the door sign thread and asked if they cared to share. Many of the e-mailed me their basic designs and I just personalized them. Now, I have some really neat ones. I can not wait to get on that ship.

Gail, can you post pictures of your signs? I have just decided I'm going to do some signs this time too. I am very "creatively challenged"!

speaking of pins...does anyone know where we can buy any prior to the cruise? We used to be able to get them at the local Disney Store-no longer and then the Characters place in the Orlando outlet mall-but they did not have any the last time we were there.
My daughters are really into pin trading and they always find some neat ones on the ships.

They have them at Downtown Disney. Are you coming in the night before the cruise, or the day of?

Also, if you are flying in, there are 2 Disney stores at the Orlando airport, and I'm sure one of them must have pins.

No, just a little rain. If it had come into SC around Charleston or Georgetown, we would have had much worse weather. They weren't so lucky in NC, they had tons of rain.

It's so hectic trying to fit everything in before we go, but in a way it adds to the excitement doesn't it.

Thanks for the well wishes. I have to admit that all this insanity does make the time pass that much faster. I can't believe that we only have 7 days left. This time next week Eric and I will be driving to Seattle for our flight! WWOOOHHHHOOOOO!

Well everyone wish me luck as I am off to the dentist this afternoon. I had a crack in my tooth that I didn't really think anything of until last week when it started hurting soooooo bad. Well I was not about to let it bother me on vacation. So I went to the dentist and the took xrays and he said to come back today, they might have to do a root canal. Now I have a deeeeeeeep fear of dentist that stems from a bad experience as a child, so I am not looking forward to this. So if everyone could please say a little prayer for me around 1pm west coast time I would really appreciate it.

We are traveling with a non DIS couple. she is going in next week for a root canal just before the trip too.

I had a temp crown on my April trip to WDW and I was so nervous that it would come off on vacation. I'll I thought about all week was how much this is going to suck if this thing comes off. I made such a big deal about it that not only did the dentist glue it on good but when it was time to take it off, it won't budge. He had to cut it off and it took forever.

Went to Home Depot and scored some Mickey Paint chips! (OK, I'm getting seriously carried away!) I got several of the "alien green" color, plus one more of every color of the rainbow! Now, I need some ideas of what to do with them. I am planning to make a couple of door signs, so I may add them somehow to that. Or make luggage tags and laminate them? Anyone have any other ideas?

Hey guys I know I don't come around alot, I get so busy and my computer has been acting crazy. I will probably end up buying a new laptop soon. Which I would usually be excited about buying something new but when I have already went through putting things back on it that was taken off becouse I had a hacker, I don't want to do it again. I still am not totally done I have been doing it as I needed the program, which stinks when you are in a hurry and then realize you have to load the thing.....

Oh well that is not the reason I am posting this The reason is that I looked at the first page to find out everything about where to meet and what rooms and what dinners for everyone and the site for some of that stuff is not up to date. So am I suppose to go to another page to find this stuff out????

Any of you that pray, My brother is a very big softball player and he atually has people pay him to play ball for him, well anyway he was pitching two nights ago and the guy hit the ball right back at him and it broke 9 bones in the right side of his face and they are going to reconstruct his face as soon as the swelling goes down. They sent him home until the surgery... So if you pray, please do that for him, he is feeling really bad....

You're going to think I'm crazy, but I don't know how to post them. There not even saved in the computer the same as they really are. I bought two different programs and couldn't figure out how to make the really nice signs. What I ended up doing and looking on the signs thread and finding ones I liked. I think PMed the diser and asked if they cared to share. The ones who agreed e-mailed me the design minus their personal info such as names, stateroom number, etc. I printed the design on magnetic paper straight from my e-mail. I then went into Word Perfect and typed our personal info so that it would print where I wanted it to appear on the sign. I printed it on plain white paper and laid it over the sign. When I had it lined up exactly right, I put the magnetic paper back into the printer and printed the writing over top of the design I had already printed. Does any of the that make sense?

Anyway, I am technologically ignorant. Most of the time, I just want to smash my computer. My DD, who is 8, can do so much more than I can do. This is the first discussion forum that I have every participated in. I still haven't figured out how to post our picture here, and as you can see from my signuture on here, I can't figure out how to get my ticker to actually show.

Everyone on the door signs thread were extremely nice and helpful to me. You should check it out. If you do, you will see everyone of my signs just with someone elses names on them.

We will not be going arriving in Florida until the 15th, so we have two weeks from today. I'm still excited though. I told everyone that I talked to today, that two weeks from today, we leave for our cruise. To be honest, most everyone that I talk to regularly are tired of hearing about it.

We went this evenging after school and finished buying all of the odds and ends. I am going to pick up a couple rolls of quarters and about fifty one dollar bills to use for tipping at the bank and I will be completely done. Then I wait, and wait, and wait and wait.

I am so sorry about your brother. Tell us his name and I will have my church add him to our prayer list. Do you have any idea when the surgery will be?

There is one sad thing about the cruise getting so close. This board is going to get more and more lonely as person after person says good-bye to leave for Florida. I wonder who will be the last person to post before leaving. We will be leaving out very early, like 3:00 a.m., on Sept. 15th. We are driving straight through. Who leaves after that?

Also, is anyone planing to do a live thread from the Magic? I am going to get the unlimited internet plan because I have to maintain daily contact with the office, but I really don't want to spend my time doing long daily reports. I wouldn't mind doing short little check ins or something. I can't find a live from thread for this last group that Double Dipped. I sure have enjoyed the ones who have posted.

Why is it that every time I'm on, everyone is gone and as soon as I leave everyone chats away? Is this a consipiracy?

I do have a cruise related question for some of you who have been on the Magic before. Do they post somewhere what will be served in the dinning rooms and at Topsiders for lunch, so that you can deside where you want to eat, or do you just have to pick one and eat what ever is served?

For those of you who are planning to book your next cruise while on this one, when are booking for?

Regardless of how much we enjoy this cruise, we will not be able to cruise next year. In May, we are taking my parents to the Grand Canyon and we are going to get there by driving the Old Route 66. My parents are in to that kind of thing. That will be our longest vacation. Then, we are going to Myrtle Beach with some friends in July. We will go somewhere during DD's Christmas break but we don't get to pick that ourselves. My entire family goes: parents and all my brother's and sister's families. My Mom and one of my SIL will not even consider a cruise.

I am considering a 2008 cruise, but those dates are not out yet.
