O.K Ya'll I have done the math, I have to do 20 posts a day to make my goal of 1000 before the trip......

So we need some facinating topics to discusss, or I am going to have to start subscribing to more threads! I'll start...

How many of us are doing "early" dinning? I know the majority of us are late dinners and I think I will change our request once in the terminal... but who's dinning early with me?

Sorry Thea as u know Im on late, hope you do change yours. I cant go early cause its too early and as I am "high maintenance" id have to start getting ready for dinner by 4am :) okay no 4pm!

Going for Rekhas hair appointment tonight, wish us luck!! Last night I washed it and combed it and let it air dry with no products.....she ended up looking like Kelis in her milkshake video :scared1:

The vonage for $10 is a great deal, why wont you keep it up?

Factory smell in the luggage? Whats that? The newness smell?

You can answer those in two seperate posts to add to your count!!!!!

Hey fellow Dissers !!!!! Quick ???? for all you 9/16 -9/23 - DD Cruisers : My Dh & I are going back to Disney for 2 days after our wonderful DD Cruise and wanted to know how many of you have eaten @ The Crystal Palace???? Was it good -- would you recommend it ??? What was your fav food ??? How about the dessert ?? We are only going to be @ Disney for 9/23 & 9/24 and are going to try & get "ALL 4 PARKS" into our 2 days!! We're planning on doing some "major park hopping". Anyway so my Dh got us a priority seating for 9/23 @ Prime Time Cafe -- and we had wanted to eat @ Coral Reef --- but it's booked up for that night & then we wanted to do Liberty Tree Tavern on 9/24 -- cause of the extra Magic hours that night -- but they too are booked up -- so he got us a priorty seating @ The Crystal Palace -- and I just wanted to get my fellow dissers feedback. We are going to do the Disney Dining Plan -- and so it'll already be paid for (in a sense) but I just don't wanna waste one of my good Dining Plan Meals -- on the Crystal Palace if it's not worth it.

Oh & I know what you mean about the suitcases --- I haven't gotten mine out yet -- but I started my Wal-Mart list, have sent my formal gown to be altered a bit, Dh got his tux ordered (we're renting from here in TN), my Dh also talked me into purchasing some of the water shoes @ Wal-Mart the other night (we'll see how that goes ---- I'm not to sure of them yet) and also I found a skirt for my pirate outfit. How many of you bought costumes or are you just putting a costume together yourself??? Ok --- that should help get a couple of posts back from you guys-- I seen where you were trying to get your post #'s up & I thought I could ask a couple of ??? to get some post feedback to help w/the #'s.

First, welcome to the crazy fun world of DIS. I have added you to my door sign so like it or not you are offical in my book ;) .
If you go to the first post you will find a list of what we are all (well most of us) doing for excursions. You will find that most of the people on this cruise are repeaters known as Castaway Club Members because of the 2 stops at Castaway Cay (CC). Anyone who has been on DCL knows what a wonderful island this is and like me picked this cruise over all others :thumbsup2.For us the Mexico part of the trip is a non issue. It's all about CC. We may go ashore and wander around but love to spend time on the ship too.

Seashells, you're the best Dis friend a girl could have! You love me...tattoos and all :rotfl:

I have heard a lot of people actually prefer "late" now I am rethinking my plans...... I really hate to go to bed on a full stomach, and I know from past experience I'll be in bed by 10:00pm every night! ::yes::

Hmmm I am going to have to google kelis... I don't know who that is. When I let Mekayla's hair dry natural, I call her "bush woman!" Think cave woman hair! :rotfl:

Hello guys!

My friend went home yesterday. It was two long days, but I'm glad I let her stay. I hope no one thinks I'm a bad friend for dreading her staying so bad. I really do love her to death.

Anyway, now that she has moved back home, I am back to getting ready for this cruise. Last night, I finished my door signs. There no where near as good as soom that I've seen on the door sign thread, but there done. I did print the design that was posted here for t-shirts, etc., as one of my door signs. (Just giving props to who ever created it.) I also printed something created by someone else on the door sign thread and transferred it to a pillowcase for DD to take for signatures. (Gave her credit too.)

I also took all my doc and credit cards, etc to the office and copied them today.

I have my boxes ready to be shipped. I will do that Tuesday of next week.

All my shopping is done, except DD wants new pajamas. I have decided if I am going to give in on that one. I tried to explain that it's almost time to buy fall and winter pjs. Can anyone tell me how warm/cool the staterooms are at night?

Also, will we need to bring quarters for the laundry or will ones be fine?

My last question is probably silly, but one the Bahamas forms we received, it asks date arrive, what date do we put on there? Castaway Cay is Bahamas and we are stopping twice. Also, I booked online through Disney so for Travel Agent do I put Disney Cruise Line or what? Finally, what do we put for intended address?

Mekayla says she'd rather watch movies on the TV instead of my laptop. I didn't even try to log on in the living room at the desk computer but the desk chair is not so comfy (that's why I bought a laptop ~ so I can sit in bed and type) so we'll see. It's a funny picture watching the two of us huddled over my laptop screen. Kinda' like when we're road trippin' and we only have her portable DVD player. We look like we're playin' an intense game of poker all huntched over!

Um no, I wish! A lot of us that bought the Disney luggage when it was $34.00 got it home and noticed a particularly foul petroleum-ish smell on the lugagge. Mine has it, too. I have aired it out but it's still there. If you smell gasoline on the ship, you'll know I just walked by :crazy2: Naw, it's not that bad, but it is smelly.

We have early seating and are very glad for it. We usually eat 7ish at home, and then there seems to be no time after dinner for ANYTHING. We tend to conk out by 10... though, on vacation it will be 11ish.

I hope you ALL don't have late seating... we will miss you. :(

Most of them do...Party Animals! :rolleyes1

We have early seating, but we don't really plan to eat in the dinning rooms every night. Please don't flame me. I know, everyone thinks we will be crazy if we miss them, but this is DD's birthday cruise and I can't imagine making her sit through long meals every night, when she's too excited to eat anything anyway. I've promised her that if she doesn't like the dinning rooms, we would have our meals at Topsider's or one of the other places.

We've eaten at the Crystal Palace a few times, but only for the Character Breakfast. There was a ton of food, and it was all good, but I have never ordered a la cart there. It's a "pretty" place to eat in a good location (you don't have to traverse any lands to get there) I say "Go for It" it should be fine!

For all ya'll that are doing the Dolphin Swim in Cozumel (either with Disney or on your own) they highly reccommend water shoes. You have to stand on grates in the water. Nice  We're bringing our costumes! We're gonna' wear them for MNSSHP and pirate night! Being in the SCA has finally paid off in the real world! pirate: I'll be wearing the costume the 8th, 9th & 10 and then the 15th and on pirate night! Thank goodness there's a cleaning break in there between the 10th and the 15th! Ew! :crazy2: :faint:

Thanks for helping the post count! :Pinkbounc

Gail, try real hard to hang out through the end of dinner on your first night at Animator's Palate. That's all I am going to say about that. :thumbsup2 Mekayla was only 7 and she dealt with dinner really well! It really doesn't seem so long, especially if you have nice table mates. We were seated with two other families that had daughters a little younger than mine, but we had so much fun (well, one mom was kinda' uptight, but the other table mates and I had a great time, kids included)

Gail- she'll probably love the dining rooms. On our first trip, we were sure our very fidgetty, stereotypically hyper boy-like ds (he was 5) wouldn't last through the first course and would hate the dining rooms. He loved it. He loved getting dressed up, sitting there with the napkin on his lap, USING A FORK (you'd never know he could do this, seeing how he eats at home like he's Neandertal man). They made such a fuss over him and dd (she was 9)- like they were royalty. Eating in the dining rooms is something they look forward to- more than the kids clubs. (Okay my kids are very weird, I admit it  ). Dd so badly wants to come to tea at Palo- but she has 6 more years to wait.

Then again- like I said- my kids are weird, and your daughter might not be and hate the dining rooms.

Julie

Seems kinda' funny I got published in passporter's tips for passing the info on this ~ not to mention I work for the post office ~ and I am not going to ship my stuff! I think I can get our stuff in the allotted number of bags. Weight limit might be an issue, though. :confused3

a $10.00 roll of quarters is NEVER a bad idea. But you'll probably be fine if you bring cash. I am sure if there isn't a change machine in the laundry room, Guest Services will hook you up. We always bring a few rolls of quarters and between the laundry room and the toll booths, and the push cart things in the airport, we never come home with a full roll.

I fill out all the information I know and sign the form and then at check in I give the CM the incomplete form along with the "I'm Stupid" excuse and they fill out the needed information. It works! :scratchin :worried: I have filled out those forms more than once and I still can't remember what the right answers are!

WldWcnWmn --- thanks for your feedback!!! I think we'll try it. I used the Dis Board here & just looked @ the menu & found that it is buffet only all day --- I thought my Dh had told me that b4 but I wasn't sure -- but it has been confirmed -- it's buffet only as far as I can tell -- so we'll take a chance & eat there --hopefully the food will be good & if nothing else - it looks to be a really beautiful resturant if anything -- so the atmosphere should add to the meal !!!
Also we didn't but actual costumes -- I just couldn't bring myself to order them - we would only wear them this one time & I was haviing trouble finding one for me-- so my Dh has made up his own version of a "pirate costume" & I have done the same for myself ---- so hopefully it will all work out !!!

Waiting patiently for our DD Disney Cruise :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:(NOT !!!!) It can't get here soon enough --- I'm about to drive my Dh & co-workers crazy waiting on it !!!

Duh, like you could even?!?! And don't miss our DIS meet right after the sail away! We want to see your faces! :artist: :grouphug:

I'm catching up- and read a bunch of posts talking about Alaska. Is there a rumor DCL is doing an Alaskan cruise? Dh isn't interested in that, but with a lot of arm twisting, whining, moping, and a general household strike, might be willing to fork over the $$$$ for a repo cruise.

So what's going on with Alaska now? Thea? Anybody?
