Hi, my name is Mekayla and I'll be on this cruise with my mom (WldWcnWmn) and my Aunt Cindy (PurpleTart) I am excited about Castaway Cay and I am wanting to go on the banana boat ride but my mom says I have to go with an adult so Cindy and my mom are drawing straws. Mom says she's going to lose. I am 9 and we will be celebrating my very merry un-birthday on this cruise. I turn 10 in November but we have vacation in September. I can't wait to go to MNSSHP I have been once before. Mom says I can post once in a while here, I just really wanted to have my own DIS Board name for door signs and tag. I want to play tag on the cruise!?!

Favorite Disney Princess Amanda - we are going to do a little switcheroo. We are no longer going on the Fury Cat in Cozumel, but we are doing the Dolphin Swim in Chankannab Park. Also I want to go to Carlos 'N Charlie's for a Habana Margarita...any takers?

Hey --- finally I was able to find some people on here that are going on this AWESOME Crusie too. MY Dh & I have not been on a cruise since our honeymoon in October 2004. We just did the short 4 day - & we are about to scream we're getting so excited for this one !!!!!!!!! We are leaving the great state of Tn on 9/15 - flying down to MCO and staying @ The Beach Club w/our DVC points & then high tailing it over to the port bright & early on 9/16. We wanna be one of the 1st in line -- we sound like a bunch of kids-- but ah -crap who cares !!! Then we are going to go to the Boardwalk after our cruise & stay 9/23 & 9/24-- we are then going to use our DVC points again. We are going to try & do all 4 parks in those 2 days !!!! Wish us luck! But like I said we are so excited we can't hardly stand each other. We aren't planning on doing too many excursions. I think we're just going to snorkle @ CC on our 1st stop & then on our 2nd we're gonna take it easy & maybe just rent bikes & go to Serenity Bay -- and relax, relax, relax. But we will be doing Palo on 9/16 ---so chocolate souffle (however you spell it ) here we come. I still have a few things to do - before we leave. I'm in the process of finding a Disney vest & tie for my Dh to wear w/ his tux for the formal & semi-formal nights & then I need to order our Pirates of the Carribean t-shirts to wear on Pirate night-- what night is that again ??? Tues - Wed ?? I can't rem ? Anyway we are planning on ordering personalized t-shirts & then capri/shorts that night - what about you guys ?? Will you be dressing up or wearing pirate attire??? I have so many ??? to ask & am just so excited about our cruise & now am excited that I have some other people to talk w/.

I have officially cancelled Sting Rays at CC and Sea Horse Snorkel..I did sign us up for the same parasail time as Amanda01 well because I plan on stalking her but that is wuite another story! teehee!

So at this point all I have planned in PS the 1st CC day and my snorkel with AManda01 at CC and dont forget my $20 massage!!wootwoot!!!!!!!!!

sorry O havent been around much guys! We have had a busy few weeks. We were trying to get thhouse clean for Taylors return home (myparents broght her and we all know the parents are come for a visit cleanup shuffle, RIGHT?!?!?) ;-p Then they staywed with us for a week b4 heading to my BROS house in Niceville FLA....then MY 3rd DS Max had his bday yesterday he turned 7! BUT if that wasnt enough yesterday was also the first day of school so we have been school clothes and supply shopping....wheeeewwww I had been so good about not using my credit cards and whoop there they went...sigh....$$$$$ I swear it may not grow on trees but it do have wings! LOL So I am trying to get the kids used to being back at school....AND our trip is coming up in less then 3 weeks!!! Then when I get back from that I have less then 2 weeks b4 DH Steve and I turn around and leave for this cruise!!!!!!!

PSS I am hoping we hear from DCL about our PALO brunch before the official 30 days before cruising mark!!!!! I hope everyone who said they wanted in on that is still in?? The only one I know for sure that backed out was Ilonka/Sirena and well you cant very well come to brunch in the middle of the ocean if you are not on the cruise eh? I still hate that she had to cancel! If you are still out there Ilonka please pop in and let us know how things are going!
Dont forget I still have her original pin design that she emailed me, or graphics so if you need that for tess or wahtever let me know and I will email it to you as well. Just PM you email address!

Howdy! Welcome to the new people.

Good news on the adoption front. Immigration has approved our petition! For most people-- even us-- it's a forgone conclusion they will if your homestudy is approved by an agency, but sometimes it takes forever. We're waiting on FBI background check, and our homestudy agency to get some documentation, then our paperwork is off to Kazakhstan- hopefully in the spring when it's not 20 degrees below zero and snowing every day.

Our Mickey chain is down to it's last loop, down from three when we started it, and we're all excited. Can't wait to meet everyone. We'll be the people sitting outside the gate to the parking lot by 10:00!

Thanks to all those who said Happy Birthday! It's been a very good day. I even received a dozen roses from my exhusband. Go Figure!!!! Realize now that we have been divorced for seven years and that he never once remembered by birthday when we were together. I called him to thank him and asked if he was just trying to get invited on the cruise. He said No, that he would be afraid that I would throw him over board. My response was that he wouldn't have to worry because I figure he has already taken me off of his life insurance policies as the beneficiary, which means I stand to gain more by having him alive to pay child support. We both had a good laugh.

Does anyone who has cruised before know when they assign cabins to those who did not request a specific cabin? I booked a category 12 thinking that we wouldn't be spending much time in our cabin anyway and, this being our first cruise, if we get sea sick or just decide that cruising isn't for us, we won't cry over the money we spent. Now, I am regretting this and wish we had a veranda. According to the DCL site, there are still cat 6 available for our cruise. I am hoping to either get an upgrade or be able to pay for one at the port. When will I know what I get? And, what do you think my chances are of paying for an upgrade at the port?

Gail I am soo osrry I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday! My Maxs bday was yesterday! Anywhoo on the past 2 sept cruises (same week) an upgrade at port has alwyas been available when we got there (early as poss) last one we paid for cat 12 GTY DCL gave us a cat 9 and at port we pair about $600 I think for a cat 5 (all that was available) this was for a 4 day cruise.....HTH

Wow, my DD is 8 also. We will have a whole gang of 8-9 year old girls on the cruise! She is an only child, so we are always looking for playmates for her. She enjoys the kid's clubs much more when she has friends there.

Welcome aboard Clayton & Lydia,

This is a fun group. We have slowed down a little. I think with summer coming to an end and school starting every one is super busy.

We are heading to NY tomorrow for a family reumion, so you won't hear from me until next Tuesday.

All we have planned for CC is the ECO tour on our first stop, and nothing but Serenity Bay and Konk Koolers on our second stop. I have never been on a jet ski so this should be interesting.I do love to snorkle so I will do that too on both beaches. We have never made it to the Heads up Bar, so we plan on doing that also.

Hope every one has a great week and week end. Keep you fingers crossed that I can stay on this diet in NY. It has really slowed down. I only lost 1 lb last week, I am still hoping to reach my goal by Sept 13th.................
