Is one of our group a TA? I got Delta airline issues! I checked our flight, 'cause now I want to get into MCO at noon since we're doing MNSSHP...and my flight itinerary has changed...no surprise as I booked the flights back in February, I kinda' figured changes would take place....

Good News - We're supposed to get into MCO now at 3:48pm (vs. 5:18pm)

Bad News - Our connection in Atlanta, GA is 10 minutes
Call me stupid...but I have been in the Atlanta airport...there's NO WAY we're making a 10 minute connection unless we're staying on the same plane...and luggage, oh my goodness, don't even want to think about the luggage...can we all say stink-e-poo after 7 days, no clean clothes?!?!?

I am really lovin' the new arrival time to MCO, I am really hatin' the Atlanta/MCO flight connection...Someone Sane, Please Help!

GACruisers - Thanks for the offer of help...it's good to know someone on our thread is SANE...I noticed none of you other girls raised your hands...

After 40 minutes I finally got through to a Delta rep. who told me not only was my connection to MCO too close...duh...coming home on the 23rd we were booked to arrive at ATL at 8:30pm with a connecting flight out of ATL at 7:45pm to SEA/TAC . hmmm...45 minute space ~time continuum issues there....
So, guess what...guess what...guess what... we're flying out of SEA/TAC at 11:30pm on Thursday night and arriving at MCO at 10:00am Friday morning! A red eye...we'll get to sleep while flying across the country! HA! It was meant to be. I love it when things fall in line like that. Now I have to ask for Thursday the 14th off... That won't be too pretty...I also have to let PurpleTart know...let the groveling begin! Boss say's "No Problem..." PurpleTart says "No Problem" all is well in my little world tonight! Looks like I won't be sending anything to the ship before our trip...I am going to have to huff it all on the plane.

I never did make it to the clubs on my last 7-nighter... Not Once! It's sad really, I was in my cabin asleep by 10:00pm every night! PurpleTart's kind of a night owl, so I am going to give it my "big girl" effort to stay with her - I want to try the clubs, too, I hear there's lots of fun to be had for adults... Don't make us Georgians look bad. If I can get myself into a pirate costume than anyone can . My whole family is dressing up. We borrowed a few costumes from my husband's friend and his wife so I went online and found matching costumes for the kids . Is that cheesey? One of our kids won't match though. She's too cool for that.

We are dressing up for pirate night. We have pirate costumes from the last time we went to MNSSHP and our Halloween cruise. We have to find one for Madalyn though.

Homestudy issues are hopefully taken care of due to my great coordinator. So no new homestudy, just new paperwork to fill out, get notarized, sealed, approved, etc.

WWW- It's great that you were so willing to foster special needs kids. We thought about foster care, but since we homeschool, it would be very difficult for us to combine our homeschooling schedule with the public schooling schedule. Having one child in school would throw our entire life off kilter. I keep saying if we hit the lottery- we're getting more kids. Our agency is opening a program in Kyrgyzstan, and I was thinking, hmmm.... And your house sounds a lot like mine- except we have toys everywhere too.

Take home chemistry exam this weekend. I'm so putting it off that I even made doorsigns. They're not great, but they're done.

I cant even tell you all have excited i am right now...i grinning ear to ear..I am now flying in on Wed and staying in WDW (pop Century? dont know much about it) until sat!!!!

My kids are gonna freak but in a good way

well the joy did not last long.....TA called ...DCL only does extended stay at the caribbean and orleans....the 3 days $465 (pop is $265)....their transfer buses only go to these resorts...then there is no way to transfer my luggage to pop and then back again sat am to catch the bus to the port..


My TA is going to try and figure something out....i guess i could do 2 days at caribbean but i have a feeling the kids would like pop a whole lot more....

I asked her to suggest me grabbing a wdw bus from MCO to pop and back and using DCL transfer from MCO sat morning.....

Thea please cast a spell for me, the same one that worked out your delta dilemma

Julie - I am so happy you don't have to do YET ANOTHER homestudy! More paperwork, no biggie! Finding new stash spots for toys and papers...and unpaid bills and magazines...and remote controls, BIGGIE!

Favorite Disney Princess - I did hear back from the snorkel excursion people we discussed and they're more than willing to do a group Deal-E-O that will save about 20% ~ but Mekayla wants to do Typhoon Lagoon so she and I will save our snorkeling excursion money and go to TL after the cruise. PurpleTart wants to go snorkeling, though so she might be interested in going with you and Amanda01.

We still haven't decided on excursions, probably just some beach breaks...

Skoi, I completely understand the joys of adopting, pre and post! .. my house was never cleaner (pre-of course!) between the counselors, social worker and case study worker visits. And post .... well lets just say it's going to be 2 years and our house now looks like Toys R Us and Xmas all at once! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!! Wouldn't want it any other way!!! Thanks for sharing your story.

That was a fun chat, Joannel! Thea & I did the cruise chat last night. It was fun. the rest of us 9/16er's need to join in also. There was a whole group from the dec DD. They were making all kinds of plans. It's every Friday night. Ihope I can find time next Friday. We are moving our oldest to Tallahassee FSU next Saturday so we will be loading up the car friday night. But with all these boys I shouldn't have to do much. I have done most of the shopping.

Thea have fun at the fair. I have house work and floating in the pool on myagenda for today. I am looking forward to the pm from a stranger!

Hi all, sorry to drop in just to complain but DH and I have had a rough couple of weeks. DH had surgery on his leg on 7/14 due to poor circulation. It was outpatient and went well. A week later he started vomitting terribly and was having pain and pressure in his chest and stomach. After twelve hours of this I put my foot down and made him go to the ER. I could tell something was really wrong. He has been in the hospital for a week now. He has pneumonia and will be having his gallbladder removed on Tuesday.

The day after he was admitted to the hospital DD was scheduled to go out of town for management training for her job. I was left alone to babysit our 2 yr. old and 4 yr. old DGD's day and night for five days. Of course they missed their "papa" and were worried about him. They didn't sleep well and were really hyper. On top of all that I got sick while watching them. Was so glad that I had a round of antibiotics on hand. When they went home my house looked like it had been ransacked.

I am so glad that if this had to happen that it happened now instead of on our cruise. What a scary thought to be in the middle of the ocean or in Mexico and have something like this happen.

Anyway, sorry for the rant and thanks for reading. We are so looking forward to this cruise. Please send some pixie dust our way so we will be in good health and ready to party. Looking forward to the DIS meet. We WILL be there!

I hope the gall bladder surgery goes well. My mother had hers removed last year and did well. I will keep you and yours in my prayers. Can't wait to party with every one.

Hello all! Well it's looks like the thread has been pretty quiet for the past week! What's up with that! I can't leave you people alone for a moment!

Well TN. was great and so was Charleston! I ate soooo much southern food I will have to fast for the next 6 weeks to get back to normal. Damn you Cracker Barral!

I can't believe how close we are to getting on a plane and driving through that gate! Eric and I are in a spending freeze. Nothing but food and gas! But it's soooo worth it. I can't wait to go to the bank and get our passports and disney dollars out of the safe deposit box! That will make it real. That and getting our doc's!
