That was an awesome thread Amanda01 - I got T-Shirts from the last Double Dip cruise so Mekayla, Cindy and I will be wearing our Twice the Magic T-shirts on Embarkation Day!! I think the baby pooh yellow is kinda' ew for a backdrop though. Maybe it looks better in person....

Well, I know you all are dying to know where we went yeasterday...we stayed in bed :sad2:

Didn't move the rental car two inches.....that was $$$$ well spent, Ya' Think?
But when we go to Crater Lake this weekend, it'll make up for not going anywhere yesterday. Mekayla was sore and sad, I was sore and sad, so we stayed home. well, off to shower and meet the mechanic... :wave2:

Nothing wrong with a day in bed! :thumbsup2

Hey where is everyone else!? I was sooooo board yesterday. Eric went golfing, my BFF was spending the day out with her DH and I was all by myself. I need a hobby. Maybe i'll take up . . . OMG I can't think of anything. :earboy2: Well I will be gone for nine day starting on friday. I will be off to Tennennesse with a stay in Charelston. I love seeing my mom, it's such a girly-girl trip. I leave on friday and I have don't nothing to get ready, but I am all about last minute these day, unless it's for Disney! And then I plan 2 years in advance~

I just wanted to show you my favorite picture from Fair this year. Adala ( my bff) decorated our crocs with these things called Jibbits. The slogan is "So, that's what the holes are for!" I am still waiting for the company to come out with a Mickey head decoration! They would make a fortune!

Amanda01 - I love the hole fillers...we have a couple of pairs of crocs between us here too, I have seen the croc charms...but I never saw any liked...those are cute!
I am still sittin' here waiting for the mechanic shop to open...you would think they'd open by 0800?!?!?

AAAHHHHH! :furious: ALASKA AIRLINES!!!! :furious: I just spent the past 3 hours, yes 3 hours dealing with them trying to get our tickets for our trip. I had no idea how difficult it would be to use just miles to get tickets. We had enough to split it half miles and half money. But I looked at it and it was cheaper to buy the miles and use only miles. So I spent a almost all our tickey money to buy our miles, thinking I had found a way to save a couple hundred bucks.

Well it turns out that there are only a couple of seats avalible on each flight for miles only travlers. I was talking to an Alaskan airlines agent trying to make a reservation and one of the seats I wanted was actually taken while I was on the phone with her. It was a nightmare. We ended up with a flight that leaves on the 8th and returns on the 24th. The problem with that is it's 2 days earlier than we wanted to arrive and a day later than we wanted to leave.

Never again will I travel on just miles if I need specific days. That was 3 hours of my life I will never get back. Oh and the money I saved by buying the miles, I have had to spend on expanding the Dining plan, the 41 points to add on to our room reservation and now I need to figure out where we are going to stay when the cruise is over and how we will get to the airport the next morning. I hate mondays! :badpc:

Amanda, we have never had any luck with flying on miles either. Always have to add days. I am looking into Alaska cruises. What ship did you go on? What is the difference between a Glacier cruise and inside passage? I know nothing about Alaska so this is difficult.

Well I made our hotel reservations for a few days before the cruise. We are driving down Tuesday after work. We will go to the parks Wed & Thursday and maybe half on Friday. We have to pick up our inlaws at the airport arround noon. I hate to waste a whole park ticket on a half day, but then it's three more hours in the parks. :) We are stating at the Shades of Green. I tried Dreams Unlimited for a Florida resident discount, but they didn't have any. Shades of Green is cheaper then the All Star hotels and it's much nicer.

HAve a good evening.

We did the inside passage on the Dawn Princess. I don't really know the difference between the different cruises though. I think the inside passage is Tracy's Arm, which is a passage we went in and out of that is filled with glaciers. It was the most breathtaking part of the cruise. I would look at cruise critics, you might find more info there. As far as the ship, we won't be taking a cruise on Princess again. It's not that it was bad, it just wasn't up to the standard that we are used to with Disney. We are spoiled. But we loved Alaska. I say do it and be sure to get a veranda, they are alot less than on DCL, and the views are so worth it.

Say Goodbye "Coupie" (Goodbye Coupie) :wave2: and Hello "Edwardo Enriquez Diego" I fixed the kia I found a mechanic who liked my bumperstickers and he fixed the door and even painted the paint chipped fender and door. Then I was talking to my friends at work and they were like "girl, the cleansing didn't work, you need to get rid of the car" I cleansed the car after our 2005 accident...we were rear ended in December and the car has been broken into a few times (once was totally my fault) and now this (which was totally my fault, too but don't tell anyone)... so I went to our local Kia dealer and we bought a new car. It's so sweet. Leather seats, a sun roof, cruise control...I have never owned a nice new car like this...of course the total price was almost half of what I paid for my home...but I justify the buy. I am 36 and I work my butt off and I deserve it. Of course next week I'll post that I am a total idiot and I will have buyer's remorse, but for today I am a little giddy. Oh, and if you didn't get it up there...Mekayla has a history of naming our cars.. We had Coupie #1 and Coupie #2 but this car she has decided to call "Edwardo Enriquez Diego" we're gonna' call him "Eddie" for short. So I hope ya'll don't mind if I go all out on this cruise I have already paid for (not like I wasn't going to before anyway) but it will definately be the last cruise we go on for a while. I might still book onboard but it'll be for a 2008 or later cruise. All welcome, "Edwardo Enriquez Diego" :drive:

Thea congradulations! We insist on seeing pictures! And I love the new name! My last car was Lucy and my new one after the old was wrecked, not my fault, is Ethel. See a pattern.

Amanda01 - I Love that we think alike...I have already gone to ebay to get a new

sticker. If you guys want one (I know that you do) lemme' know and I will tell you where I bought them from. The person who sold me my last one is not doing them, but I sent the picture I posted to you all to another ebayer and he drew this up. It's a little different font, but it works! The stickers will be about 10x10 and they are $9.95 with $1.50 shipping. I can e-mail you his name...lemme' know.

Good news #1 our homestudy went to BCIS last week, so now all we have to do is wait on immigration to approve us and our paperwork is off to Kazakhstan!

Good news #2 aced the chem exam. Now I have another next week.

(potentially) bad news: Dh had a recall- and he might not be joining us on the cruise if he's deployed. I say potentially bad because it'd be fine if he had to go after vacation. We can live without him and his civilian pay for a year, but don't want him to miss Mad's first trip to DW.

Julie

Julie, Congrats on the first two. I understand totally your bad news. My husband did 25 years in the Airforce. He missed many a vacation, birthday etc. Maybe they will let you change the dates if you wan to wait until he returns. I know during the Gulf Wars airlines let us change dates with orders.

We are all very proud of what military men and women are doing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hey girl! I read over on the creative board that some people are using the mickey shaped pinbacks for just that very thing. I tried it and it works great.

Julie

Hopefully you can get this vacation in! It is so close!

Welcome Edwardo :yay: Thea, congrats on the new vehicle....you are too quick for me...i was going to ask if you were getting a new "work for Disney" sticker? See youve already answered that question!!!!

Julie sorry to hear about the possible bad news, I hope it works out for u all.

Ive got a question about "crocs", what is it made of? How does it prevent your feet from sweating and slipping? and does your feet really feel ventilated with those teeny holes? (I live in flip flop styled shoes all summer)

Ive seen so many people rave about them on this forum but I dont know anyone that owns a pair to sell me on them!
