We live in Worcester which is basically a little south of the center of England.

I just noticed you ticker. You are doing two weeks on the Magic. How fun. Have been on the ship before?

Not been on the Magic but have done the Wonder previously. We have overdosed on WDW recently and need a break. DH thinks cruising is the best thing ever and I absolutely love it :yay: Since one of the biggest chunks of our money goes towards the airfare we can normally only afford to come over once a year so were doubling up.

Us too. Every one here is tired of DW, not me I could go over & over. Since we moved to Florida we have been almost every other year. We also love cruising. But his summer the kids are older and they want to work the summer and have trips of their own planned. So DH and I are cruising alone for the first time. Last summer when we did the Marriner we stayed at DW fro four days prior. It was nice. There were 12 of us. So we let the older kids do their own thing when they wanted. Amazingly enought they stayed with us most of the time. We were there of the openning of the star wars movie. i am not a big fan but we had 5 boys and two dads that were thrilled. We went to the opening night at 1201 am to the movie. It was a lot of fun. There are al ot of crazy people out there.

Hi Everyone!

I finally found this thread! We've been booked on this cruise since Sept of 2005, when we rebooked onboard the Magic. It will be me, DH, and DD8, and for the first time, we will be in a Cat 3!

This is our 4th Disney cruise. We did a land/sea in May 2004, a 7 night Western in Sept 2005, and just did a 3 night in March of this year. We are so excited about the 2 stops to CC. That is my favorite place on earth. And we have been lucky that we have always been able to stop, and have always had awesome weather. I just know one day my luck will run out, and we will miss CC or have bad weather. But with a double dip, at least we have 2 tries.

Is anyone worried about hurricanes? Last year there was a hurricane off the coast, and we were almost sent to Fort Lauderdale to board. We lucked out once again, and had great weather and smooth seas all week.

Is there anyone else going with a daughter around 8 years old? I would love to find a playmate for DD before we go.

Judy

Welcome aboard Judy.
As long as we can get on the ship im not too worried about the hurricanes, as far as we are concerned its the ship we are going for and it can go anywhere it wants as long as were on board it. :)

I think we have a large group of the 8ish year old girls. I have an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old girl in my party.
Merry

In Sept 04 DH were so worried about our honeymoon. I guess we had the luck of the Irish. There were 2 hurricanes prior to the honeymoon, and as we were flying to FL the pliot informed us if we looked to the left of the plane we could see hurricane Ivan. But it had already passed FL. Insert four leaf clover here!

WOW - y'all were very lucky!

Even better luck was the wedding. It rained up until 2 hours prior. Then sunny all day. Then the second we came out of the reception and it was time to go home it started raining. Talk about the gods on your side! We even had whales swimming by the cliffs blowing water when we kisses. It was like a Twin Peaks dream sequence!

Welome aboard Judy and good morning to all. I hope hurricane season is a very quiet one this year. I will go any where the magic will take us. I do hope we get to Casatway Cay.

will this do? :shamrock:

Judy - our dd is 8 also - will be just shy of 9 on the cruise and is looking forward to fun in the lab.

Does anyone have a list of all the families on board? I think Darcy was doing it, but they're not coming now :guilty:

Also- anyone with 10-12 year old girls?

Ds will be 8- but I don't know if girls will want to hang out with him, or he'll want to hang out with girls.

Is anyone planning to do tea? I'd like to go, but dh wasn't thrilled last time.

I'm hoping my DD will enjoy the lab more this time than on the Wonder a few weeks ago. She only went once, and paged me after 30 minutes. It was a surprise, because on the 2 previous cruises, she loved being in the club. But then again, we took our 2 nieces with us on this past cruise, and I think she just wanted to hang around them.

I just noticed that you are doing back to back cruises. Wow, that means 3 stops at CC! Sounds like heaven to me! :cloud9:

Hello everyone! I have spent the last hour going back and catching up on what's been going on. Sounds like everyone is starting to plan details for the cruise. This is my first cruise, so I'm not sure what all the Disers plan, but I am up for anything. I also have a DD who will be 8 (almost 9) when we sail. She loves making new friends (boys or girls) and is so excited about the clubs. As we get closer, I'd like to see if any of you are interested in getting a group together to go to Palo one night. My DD and I are sailing alone. I am not too excited about eating alone and I don't want to miss it.

Well, I had better get back to what I was doing. TAXES!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is my deadline for getting everything to the accountant. Every year I put it off, because I hate it so much. I'm just glad that I have the cruise to look forward to help get me through it this year.

Hey all

Our 13yr DD is learning to do all sorts of fun things to design web sites. She needs some more practice before beginning her Silver Award project for Cadette Girl Scouts and would love to keep up a web page for our group. Unless anyone else would like to do this, she (with our help) will update regularly all the DISers on board and planned activities.

Just let me know if she should move forward with this.
