OK who missed me? . . . Anyone? Buller!

First off Ilonka I am so sorry to hear about your job, but I left a job just before our honeymoon and it turned out to be a blessing. I hope everything works out for you and your family.

Thea I love your Fair pictures. They are great. Here is my BFF and I at our second Fair. We call it Tink's on Parade.

Amanda you have been busy! So to everything that you have asked, Yes.

So onto Princess cruise lines and Alaska. We loved Alaska. It was Beautiful! We saw whales, baby seals, and eagles. This was all in a section called Tracy's Arm. We went to our inlaws rooms to see it all from their veranda and it was breath taking and COLD! It was around 40 degrees. I had to buy a coat just to walk around the ports. Thank God Eric thought about it. We took about 4.5 million pictures, but Eric hasn't downloaded them yet. We actually haven't even unpacked yet.

Now each port had the required Del Sol and Diamonds International, which we avoided, but the local shops had great stuff. I got the most beautiful Amber necklace and earrings. My favorite stop was Jueanu. We took a bus up to Mendenhall Glacier, which was massive! It was so cool and cold. But the first thing we saw was a bear in a tree in the parking lot. We thought everyone lost thier minds because the glacier was the other way, then we saw what they were looking at. It was a great trip.

Now onto Princess cruise lines. I am not one to compare things, because I know that Disney and Princess will each have their own ways of doing things, but I did have expections because we have only cruise with DCL. And they were not the same. I don't want to say anything bad about Princess so I will just say that we are Disney Cruise Line people all the way. But overall we had a great time with our family and our inlaws enjoyed their 40th!

But I am so happy to be home. Who knew I would miss my puppy soooooo much!!! I will post pictures later today!

Welcome back Me and my wife were just talking the other day about an Alaska cruise and from your brief post I think were sold! It sounds like you all had alot of fun and we'll be awaiting those pictures

You are not alone. I was hoping to get out in the pool this morning but it is very cloudy here. We do need the rain so I wish it would just do it and get it over. Sorry we can't do the beach with you. We are going on the dune buggy ride. Mt DH is not a big water lover so we are doing this for him, since he is doing the catamaran in Cozmel.

The air force sent us here. Once the kids got older we didn't want to move. He is a good sport. He will go to the beach. When we lived in Guam he would watch the kids on the beach while us adults went scuba diving. Last summer he went snubaing with us in Cozmel. He surprised him self how much he liked it.

There isn't a prettier place I would rather live, and I have never had to shovel out the driveway before going to work. My kids got offened last summer when their NY cousins told them they had southern accents. It was funny. We really don't have any accent. I have lost all my NY accent. MY DH is from MA and he doesn't have one either.

Too funny! I am not from here either, as I was an army brat BUT I have lived here the longest and intedn t oeither stay here or FLA. BUT I do not hear myself with a southern accent, however when I talk to my relatives in Colorado and New Mexico they laugh at me! TEEhEE so I feel your kids pain! It just happens somehow! I bet yall probably sound more southern than you realize ;-)

It's tonight or in the morning or how ever you want to say it. I will be up at 3:00 a.m. Come join us for the heck of it. I will not be on line until around mid-night. My BF's father bought a new boat a couple days ago, and we've been invited to the lake for a cook out and boating and fishing. We always end up not leaving until lake until very late because the boys like to fish with the aqua lights after dark. Then, I have to take DD to her father's house and she can't be dropped off there until after 10:30.

By the way, for everyone, getting the shirts from Graphic Impressions here is a no go. Disney would not give them a release to use anything Disney: the ship, the private island or their licensed fonts. I was told that we can use them for private use, but they can not use them because they will be generating profit. They told me to print them as transfers and make the shirt myself. Someone else on this board was suppose to check into getting information about having them made somewhere else. I can't remember who, but please let us know. Otherwise, I'm open for suggestions.

Amanda, welcome back! It sounds like you enjoyed Alaska. I briefly considered it as a cruise destination, but thought that I needed to let my DD get a little older so that she would enjoy it more. Since you have been, do you think it's something a 8-9 year old girl would be able to enjoy?

My husband looked at a job around FWB with the Dept. of Defense, but nothing came of it. I would love to move to FL to get all those good discounts you get on cruises and Disney. The bugs, snakes, alligators, etc would be worth it.

Glad you had a great time in Alaska- Amanda. My in-laws are going next summer. I would love to do the Eastern Med, but not while the kids are little.

Midterm is still next week. I haven't started studying yet.

Oh I have been soooo ill the last few days! I think I caught a summer flu - is there such a thing? I am finally feeling better. Had to miss out on Fireworks and camping with PurpleTart She probably wont be on the boards until later in the week. What's everyone doing for the fourth? I have to work tomorrow then I have Tuesday off - weird - and just not enough time to do anything fun. It will be hard to stay up until 11:00pm for fireworks and then get up early on Wednesday morning for work. It's gonna' be a hard first week back to work.

The Fair is this weekend we're looking forward to a fun time!

I'll be up with the first timers tonight...I just gotta' try for brunch one more time before we embark. I don't want to go to the club to book
