09/15/07 Early Check in September 15, 2007 Eastern

Lori- great photo! So cute!!:goodvibes

Judy- I am wearing a pirate shirt I got at the Disney store and black capris. DH is wearing a pirate tshirt...so no costumes here, just pirate themed stuff....others in our group are just wearing pirate "colors": red, black and white!;)

Kami, I am wearing a white shirt and black capris, along with the bandana they give you at dinner. We were going to skip pirate night (DD said "she's over it" :rotfl: ), but now her daddy has gotten her interested in dressing up.

What a small, small, world. ( no pun intended):goodvibes
My hubby also works for UPS and we live in Florida and no, we have not gotten our cruise documents either, and he would not know what to look for either. So, I feel your pain.

If I did not plan and pack for all our trips I can only imagine where we would go and what we would wear :rotfl:

S

My dh is a UPS Man too. In his defense, even if he looked around he never would have known what to look for. I just looked at my envelope and no where on it does it say Disney, or anything about who it's from.

Good morning all!
Guess what?!?!?!
WE GOT OUR DOCUMENTS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I didn't have time to get online after they came because we had to meet friends for dinner and then go to the mall. (I had to get prongs on my ring fixed before cruising.)
Anyway, we are in NC and they came yesterday.

twinmom2,
I bought our two DDs pirate costumes at the costume store. I am wearing black capris with a white button up shirt. I will wear the bandana they give us with that. DH said wearing the bandana they give us will be enough for him. Party City has pirate shirts that you can buy separately and wear with black capris too. I almost bought one, but I decided not to since I already have a plain white button up shirt.

No docs here yet:confused3 Cannot wait.....just to have the official documents makes it so real....
But this morning when I turned our calendar to September, it was awesome to see we are finally IN the month that we are vacationing in!!! :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Are any other guys wearing shorts to dinner on Pirate night?pirate:
Dh wants to and always did when it was tropical night, so just checking.

So in a week I will sitting in the Disney Cruise Line terminal patiently waiting to board the Magic for 2 weeks. Let's just say not so patiently waiting.

Can't wait to get on board. I have 3 days off, 3 days at work and I am outta here.

I gotta figure out when I am packing, and what. Just a heads up I do not like packing one bit. I still have to purchase some things so I have enough clothing and things.

Have a great week.

My Dh is wearing shorts to dinner for Pirate night w/a pirate tshirt. He was really balking at wearing "dress" clothes all week to dinner, so was very happy for that night!

DH is wearing shorts too. We are both wearing Disney tropical shirts. I will have on capris and DH will have shorts.

After months of dreading the drive to Florida, and buying a new car to make sure it's a safe drive, we got a ding this morning that DH couldn't pass up. We got $64 each way from Chicago.   By the time we pay for gas and a hotel to and from, it's only an extra $150 or so. I'm so happy. We went to the Halloween store tonight to look at the pirate stuff, my boys seem uninspired, I may just choose what they'll wear and the'll have to deal with it.:) Have a great weekend!

That's great! It's probably worth much more than $150 to not be worn out driving there and back.

We are driving down this time. We are in SC, so it's about a 7-8 hour drive to Orlando. We've flown and driven in the past. Honestly, with getting to the airport early, layovers, changing planes, etc., I don't think flying saves us much time. Plus, it's nice this time not worrying about how much luggage we will have, how heavy the bags are, the liquid restrictions, etc. It's crazy how much stuff we are taking!

Lisa, can you add my cabin numbers to the cruise roster website? We have 6016 and 6018. Also add our name to the fish extender list. My friend Stargater made a fish extender for me :cheer2: .

Ann- you better get on the ball!! :lmao: Our extenders are done, I think:confused3 My mom and aunt made them, and from what I saw they looked done!;)

Tara- congrats on the tickets! I used to always drive to WDW from MI. It took about 19 hrs but saved us a lot of money! NOW...gas is way too much and with the kids, flying is so muc QUICKER!:thumbsup2

Only 11 days till we leave....I am getting more and more excited. Picked up my wedding dress yesterday and we hit the clearance at JCPenney and Target and got shorts for $4 and DH some khaki pants for 10.99!:thumbsup2
I am so ready to start packing, but dh will laugh if I do that TOO soon!:cloud9:

My dh started packing last weekend.:lmao: I really want to start gathering things we won't be using in the next 2 weeks, so I can see that else I need to buy.

Kami... at my rate I'll have it done on this Wednesday evening!!!:lmao:
or plan B... 2 small trash bags duct taped together!:rotfl2:

Ann :upsidedow

Ha! At least we would know whose it was!! :rotfl2:
Along those lines, do we need to put our cabin # on them somehow? I understand sometimes they unfortunately go astray................

I finally completed all of our online check in forms on DCL web site.
I registered the girls for the lab the first day it was allowed. I know that I need to print out the online check in forms. Do I also need to print out DDs' registration? It doesn't say that need to. However, there is a print button.

My dh thinks I am crazy, but I am so excited, I made my fish extender tonight. At least the majority of it. It still needs some finishing touches, but need to dry over night. I didn't to a traditional one, I kind of created my own design.:cool1: Now I have to print my door magnets, and maybe make 1 or 2 more and I will be good to go.

Am I to late to join in on the fish extender "band wagon"? Honestly ladies (and gentlemen) I didn't know what one was or used for until I read general cruise line thread and WOW that is pretty neat. I feel like I am behind the ball, etc. Also, do you hand out treats to those who make fish extenders on the DIS or do you guys also include other non-DIS'ers?

I'm sooooooo not a "home" person meaning the only thing I do good is cook good tasting food (when I cook - which folks, your more likely to see a Giant Panda before you see me cook - LOL). I thought I read that ebay has some but are there other places to purchase (and then I can try adding some things to it here and there).

Also - what kind of stuff do you pass out? I know for myself, getting the kids something (meaning all of your folks kids) will be easy as I am good at that but would love some ideas of what you give?

Thanks so much for the advice/help!!!

Here's an idea for me... a spa day!:lmao:

I'm so far behind I can't stand it!:rolleyes1

We leave in 10 days....it is the final countdown now!:cool1:

Ann- I am still so jealous (but a happy for you kind of jealous;) ) about your B2B2B...gotta try for at least a B2B next year!
