Chris, Mary and Flo and anyone else in the snow,

Stay safe, so far we have been lucky, lots of rain and staying above freezing.

They do say we will get some this weekend. not looking forward to it, I have tickets to the TSO concert this weekend. Don't want to miss it. I have been to the last 6.

Where we live is the south county, part of st. louis, most snow, comes up Hwy 44 from Springfield MO, and usually stays to the north side of St. Louis. So we always get less than the north side. sounds funny that the snow uses the highway

Well, our Blizzard is here! Actually right now we are under a winter storm warning and the blizzard warning kicks in at 9:00 tonight until 6:00 tomorrow night. I work at the county courthouse and it closed today at 3:00. In fact almost everything is closing in the state. I hope it doesn't get so bad that we lose our electricity tonight. That would really stink.

Well, need to run. Hope everyone stays safe during this storm!

Hope they are wrong and you just got out early. We are under a warning to. I am up real early today and will leave for work soon. It looks like it is a mess out there. It rained during the night and now it is snowing again. Stay safe.

Hi everyone! Just checking in from WDW! My trip has been great so far but very busy. I decided to take a relaxing day today. I went to DTD to shop this morning and had lunch at WPE. Now I am relaxing in the room for a while before dinner at Kouzzina tonight.

Dianne-Enjoy the concert, we went when they were in Worcester, MA and had a great time.

Raining very heavy here in NJ this morning.

Hope all those getting the snow stay safe and warm. Find someone to snuggle with .

I have been awake since before 5am. Believe it or not, I went to bed early(10pm) because I was so tired. I still had lots of school work to get done but I decided it was more important to get some sleep. No one else in my group seems to be losing any sleep so why should I. Well, I ended up tossing and turning all night and was having dreams about all the work I had to get done. I finally just got up and here I am.

Did anyone watch the new Disney Christmas show last night...Prep and Landing? How cute!!! The kids and I enjoyed it.

Okay, kids will be getting up shortly to get ready for school. I better get breakfast started.

Good Morning Gang!

Yep, we are in full Blizzard mode here in Iowa. We received anywhere from 9 to 16 inches of snow here and now the winds are picking up to 30-40 miles an hour with gusts up to 60! I know the wind is just howling outside right now. I can hear it inside here.

Our courthouse closed last night for today so we don't have to worry about going to work. And our kids' school also closed last night for today. Which, I think, the whole state is practically closed down for today. No travel is recommended anywhere. Which, we aren't going anywhere. No way. It is starting to get a light outside so we can start to see how bad it is outside our house. Bobby is going to be moving alot of snow out of the driveway sometime today.

Thanks for all the safe wishes. We will be because like I said, we are staying home today. Everyone else stay safe too!

Chris, glad you're all home safe and snug! Tremendous amount of rain here - it's really flooding! I think I'd rather have snow! So, are you doing any really good baking today? That's what I usually do when I'm house-bound!

I have a bunch of errands to do but I really don't want to go out in this yet! So I guess I'll finish decorating and cleaning up, and hope that it ends soon - it's supposed to!

That is exactly what we have been doing Sue, baking and listening to Christmas music! We made cookies, peanut butter balls, peanut clusters and rice krispie treats. Plus I made biscuits and gravy for breakfast and Bob wants to make homemade pizza for supper. I am also doing laundry. I'm starting to wind down though.

Too bad about all the rain. I hope your temperatures stay up and it doesn't turn to ice. I hate ice. We can't tell if it is still snowing here or just blowing. They have closed several highways/interstates. Blech!

Good morning everyone! As Flo said it is a cold one today. Thankfully we didn't get as much snow over the last two days as was predicted and they are saying that things will be warming up by tomorrow so all is good.

Yesterday wasn't too bad for us getting to work. Mark went in extra early to do the plowing and on the way back from the second location he plows the power steering on the truck went out. Yuck!

Good Frigggggggid Morning from Iowa.

It is very cold out. The temperature on the truck said it was 10 below coming in to work this morning and the windchills are at 17 below. It is frigid. We ended up with around 15 inches of snow here. So, I believe we will be having a white christmas this year.

For those out east it sounds like this storm is bearing down on you now. Stay safe because it is nasty.

They are still recommending no travel around the state today but I didn't think it was too bad driving in to work. I just worry about DD #1 who has to drive to town to work this afternoon. We left her my vehicle which is 4-wheel drive, but still. I will worry terribly.

Then I need to start wrapping. Christmas will be here before I know it and like usual I'll probably not be ready. I'm gonna try real hard though this year.

Good Sunday Morning.

Getting ready to go to my Aunt's house today for a Christmas get together. We don't exchange gifts but we get together and that is what is all about. This year will be weird because it is the first one without Grandpa.

Then this afternoon our oldest DD has her concert band concert. Not sure why they do it on a Sunday but they do. This is just the first of several we will be going to this year.

Got some wrapping done yesterday so we now have presents under the tree. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Good morning everyone! Chris sounds like you are doing great Christmas wise. I've only got a few little things left to buy for some work friends. Mark and my big gift to each other was our trip.

I did go out to the Mall yesterday more to just walk around and window shop. There is one store that I've been looking at a pendant from but I think I will wait until late January and see how my next colonoscopy goes and maybe I'll buy it to celebrate. I did visit the DVC Doorway to Dreams store and got to chat with a number of the cast members. The mall was very busy but not crazy.

Today we're staying home where it is cozy and warm and getting our usual weekend chores done.

Hi Mary - loved reading your posts and Mark's too both here and on Facebook. I can't believe the weekend is over and back to work in the morning but first a doctor appointment at 8:10AM.

I haven't bought one gift for Christmas yet. I have been sick and haven't had the strength to do much. We won't be spending Christmas day with Shawn (first year not doing so). He will be going to his girl friend's parents house. We will catch up after Christmas.

No trips planned to WDW or DCL yet for 2010. I wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary aboard DCL but don't think that will be happening afterall. Maybe once the new year gets here I'll be in the Disney spirit.

Anyway, hope everyone is getting ready for their holiday and time with family and friends. If I don't post again before the new year, wishing everyone a safe, happy and healthy new year! I know I could use the "healthy" part.
