Hi Sue!

Glad you are getting to like your hair better.:) But it looked fine on the cruise. Oh no Camo time.:scared1:. I have about two more weeks.

Put the heat on yesterday during the day. But at night no. it only got to 68 in the house. I like to sleep when it is like that. Now in the house it is only 68 but not bad.

have a good day.

dave,

Let me add that my cousin said that there are wood door by the bathroom instead of curtins. It closes of the sinkes to the rest of the room. She said it looks very nice. If she has any pics I will post for you.

Dave,

Hope you don't mind me droping in with some what of an answer.

My cousin was at Coronado when we were on the SSM09. SHe said they just re did the rooms and that they are like a normal room. Just like the Carribian would be. She said they all have little fridges and coffee makers. Hope this helps.

Thanks Flo, that would be great.:)

I'm with you Mary - all around! I love the Candlelight Processional, it is one of my very favorites. Even though I have the CD of it, it's not the same as live! Long live the Coffee Club (we oughta call it the Sunrise Deck 9 Club because of our varying beverages!) !!! :thumbsup2 And yes, my heat was on just last night - today it's getting nicer!

We've never been out to Coronado Springs. But we went out to see Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani - but I'm with you on that one Chris. I love to be at WDW but don't want to wake up smelling the zoo outback! I love to look at them and do the safari - they are gorgeous beasts there - but don't think I'd like to stay there. At least for now, it's not on my list of places to stay. No matter where you stay at Christmas, Dave, you'll love it!

Definitely do the Processional!!

And Dave, I'm just a little one-sided because this is the only thread I've been on and you guys are all so great, so I think you'll have a tough time beating this one - but I hope you and Joanne can get to know some folks! Good Luck! :thumbsup2

Well Sue I guess I am committed to my "dung smellin Christmas Adventure":rotfl2: You guys make it sound so aromic, probably nothing like the massage oils on Castaway Cay...:lmao:

As for best thread I believe this is the best one, our Alaskan Cruise one seems like it will be fun, but as Sue said the bar is set very high.

Sorry Dave! Didn't mean to make you feel bad - I'll bet it will be wonderful! Make sure you have your camera ready in case a giraffe comes up to your balcony for a good morning kiss!! Ask it if it likes coffee! :rotfl2:

Good morning all. Ok so its 1pm. My early morning time. Got off of work at 7am and had to go back in at 11am for a meeting about what you ask?? NOTHING!
We are also staying at the AKL in May and doing WDW. When we stayed last at AKL I was not at all impressed. Wayne was thinking of switching points to BLT or SSR, but I figured we would give it another try now that the Members area is open. When we stayed last they didn't have any 2 bedrooms, they were the 1 bedroom and studio attached. Really wasn't happy with that. But I hope they live up the the dream of "Africa".

Does anyone know of any "special" things going on in May? We did the Mickey's Merry Christmas, and want to do the Halloween Party, but could only book in May due to schedules. I'd like to do something fun with the kids.

We must have missed the candle light processional. Not sure if I even know what it is. Any hints to that?

Anyone know when the 2010 Member Cruise thread will open up? I have made it my goal to stay active on the thread this year. With Wayne doing all of the taxi driving durring the week I told him the least that I could do was stay up (while laying in bed) a little each day to be on the boards.

Life is finally starting to return to our "normal" here. Kids are back in school, cheer and football have started, and of course I have gone back to work =( We have to pay for Disney somehow. I suppose in this economy I should be thankful that I have a job right now. I'm really glad I decided to go into nursing with the shortages around here.

I think I have Wayne convinced to do the Mexician Riviera in April of 2011 also. We are planning it as a parents only trip. Have to try to do atleast 1 thing a year together. Last year it was Hawaii; I can't even begin to explain how well the kids did not take that one! I promised them that they will get their chance to go with us.

I think my typing has bored abby to sleep finally. Its nearly 1 and she has been up since 5am. Time for mom to catch a quick nap before going back to work.

I hope everyone has a great day. =)

Well so much for me and my predictions of the olympics. It was very erie being their and you could hear a pin drop.

Dave,

I got a response from my cousin. below is what she said.

Coronado Springs is VERY nice. Flat screen tv, fridge, separate dressing area, Queen size beds, all new furnishings. All the rooms were just redone, we usually stay in the Cabanas, but this time we were in the Casitas.

THe big wood doors that I was talkingabout are by the dressing area.

Also, no pics yet. She has not got them downloaded.

Good Morning Everyone - especially Dave!! :lmao:

Ditto on the TGIF! Wow - it is chilly this morning. I actually turned on the heat this morning just to take the chill out of the house. It's about 49 outside! I love the fall but wow it's coming fast.

It was cold here too this morning. I think that it was about 43 when I headed to work.

I would like to do the processional as well, as for coffee club meetings it doesn't get any better.

Mary- I go on that thread, but it seems tough to get active. So many people have sailed together before and it seems like they are very involved together, if that makes sense??

I hear you Dave. Some groups are quiet, some get along great (like this one) and some seem to be dominated by groups that have sailed together in the past. Here's hoping you get a good balance so that you can find some to connect with and have a Transatlanic version of the coffee club. It may not be the same but it will still be great.

Sue I love the Sunrise Deck 9 Club! That way it includes my tea and Chris' Pepsi! What a great group.

The Candlelight Processional is held during the Christmas Season from late November through Christmas. It is made up of a Narrator who tells the Christmas Story. He/she is joined by an orchestra, singers from the American Adventure, singers from Disney castmembers who dress in green and form a Christmas tree, and then guest choirs dressed in gold. Here is a picture from December 2004 when we saw Gary Sinese.

As for the 2010 Member Cruise thread it can be started at any time by anyone. Why don't you start it?

Well so much for me and my predictions of the olympics. It was very erie being their and you could hear a pin drop.

I won't lie, I was very happy when it was announced we were eliminated. I feel bad for the many who worked hard to make it happen but as I said before I don't think the city or the nation is in sound enough financial shape to handle it.

PDFG and all our friends who need it!

Hi Mary!

I agree with you about Chicago and the Olympics. I don't think the President should have gone over there considering everything that is going on here. He's bitten off more than he can chew, I think. Oh well, no more politics.

Any big plans this weekend?

I'm having lunch with a friend we cruised with on the 2005 and 2006 Member Cruises. She lives out Flo's way. That's about it. If the weather agrees we may do work in the garden bringing in the canna's. Other than that the usual fun stuff like grocery shopping and laundry. Oh and maybe we'll get away and see Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3-D.

I think it was fine for the President to go because all the other heads of states were there. I just think Chicago was a bit too confident which happens a lot!

Sounds like fun! We were thinking about seeing Toy Store also, but things are shaping up to be pretty busy. John and Dustin just left for a scout weekend. they are heading up to Washington's Crossing Park to do a bike hike and shoot off some model rockets, weather permitting. They'll be back early Sunday morning and then Dustin has a soccer game at 12:30 in Pitman about 45 minutes away. In the meantime, while they are away, I'm going to do a few training walks, hopefully up to about 10 miles and then go to my mom's and have dinner with her on Saturday.

ummmm! Eating some Cadbury chocolate and thinking of the DIS meet on board! Such fun!! ;)

Cadbury - yum! Someone (aka Mark) ate the one you gave me. Of course I gave it to him but I thought he'd save me some. :rotfl:Luckily all was not lost as we had stopped in Epcot before heading home.

We're going to Macaroni Grill. That's where we usually meet up. It is quiet on Saturday afternoons and we have time to chat.
