Good evening..its been a eventful day at work today...can't go into the details but been a busy day. I think I may start a packing list tonight.:cool1:

Hey, I have a question for you? If I want to ship items home after the cruise from WDW, I know they have shipping locations. Can anyone tell me where, I need to go, with the items to be shipped home? :flower3:

:rotfl2:Helloooooooooooooo is anyone there tonight...I feel so lonesome.:rotfl2:

Hey Dianne, you're not alone....just wait until we get a little closer to the big 3000, then we'll have lots of company ;) .

Detassling corn is where you walk through the corn field pulling the tassels out of the cornstalks to control the pollination of the corn. There are female and male rows of corn and you walk the female rows getting rid of the tassels so the male corn can pollinate the female. Big seed corn companies do this. Around here we have Pioneer and DeKalb. I know I did it when I was a kid. You can make around $800 for two-three weeks worth of work. Most times you have to walk the field, which the rows can be more than a 1/2 mile long, and you make rounds. Down and back. Today, however, they have machines that you can ride as well. Which, Becca was supposed to be getting to ride today, which makes her happy.

I hope that answers your question. :flower3:

That was an EXCELLENT description of detasselling! Not too many people in the US know what it is,except for people in small towns in the midwest, Mostly Iowa and Illinois. I never did do detasseling, but most of my friends did and it's HARD, DIRTY, HOT work! Kudos to any teenager who can stick it out!

I took a tour of the new Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary Resort today. It is SO BEAUTIFUL! Nothing like it on Disney property!

Hi Everybody!
Is there is anyone out there with experience in travelling to WDW with a person with a disability? Please read.
My sister is going to make arrangements for a scooter rental.
Any suggestions for planning, things to take, just anything at all that we should consider?????

Any information would be so greatly appreciated.

Regards, Lisa

We travel a lot with our son, Patrick, who is an adult with cerebral palsy. He can't walk much without support. We use a manual wheelchair. He can't work a scooter or an electric wheelchair because of his vision.

I have one suggestion for your friend......make sure your scooter is on the smaller side.....some of the great big ones have trouble on the buses. And I hope she has one to use around the resorts, too, because the distances are pretty far from place to place. A regular size scooter will go on the monorails and the boats, too,so that's good.

What makes it so different from the other properties? Is it just the view and location?

I would like to stay there at least once but the points are so high. Maybe I will plan a short stay for before or after a cruise.

Marsha,
get ready to type faster - been practicing! :lmao:

Susan,
Where are you? Ready for Susan Squared!! :thumbsup2

I thought we would hit 3000 while I was having dinner. I will probably miss it while I'm giving DS a bath in a few (hopefully not).
