Chris,

They did a great job on the eggs! :thumbsup2

Ours had no designs on them at all. We dye about 25 dozen eggs. Then, at about midnight, we go around and put them on our neighbors lawns.

I hope that everyone had a great Easter!

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter.

It is opening day for the Cubs here in Chicagoland. I was a huge Cubs fan growing up but don't have the stamina to make opening day in the cold. That is for the young! :rotfl:

So off to work I go!

Cathy - that is a lot of eggs. I hope your neighbors appreciate all that hard work.

Good Monday Morning!

When I told/showed the girls your comments on their egg decorating, Becca just got a big smile on her face and Brooke said wow! They wanted me to be sure and thank everyone for the nice compliments. THANK YOU! They had a lot of fun doing them this year.

Cathy - 25 Dozen!!!! Wholly cow, or should I say chicken, that is a lot of eggs! I'm sure your neighbors really appreciate it. That would be lots of fun to wake up to that in the morning.

It's fun to hear about the ships horn ring tone. My DH put it on his phone a while ago (I think he did it off the CD we got after one of our cruises. It starts with the ships horn and then goes in to music, but it's been so long ago that I don't remember for sure.) I just love to hear his phone ring! But we can't get it on my phone. It would be so fun to be somewhere and hear some one else's phone ring with the ships horn!

Well, have a great day! :flower3:

Hi everyone - giving us a mid-day bump. Had to go out at lunch and it is cold and rainy out there. Yuck! Oh well better than snow. :rotfl:

As for ring tones we have AT&T and have been able to put the mp3 that Mark recorded (you can find it on our website) for my ringtone. I love it! I don't get many calls but when I do I smile when I hear the horn.

Hey - I just noticed that we leave for our next Disney trip in 53 days and then we leave on the member cruise in 153 days. 100 days apart! Pretty Cool! :woohoo:

Excellent! Two trips in that time frame is great!

We started doing this in 1989. We have since moved to a different neighborhood, but go back to the old one to deliver eggs to a few people. We have been delivering eggs to one family since their youngest was born. She is now in her second year of college. She still doesn't know who the Easter Bunny is. It is a lot of fun!

Only a few of our neighbors have small children. Most of our neighbors are elderly, but they love waking up to the eggs. They all say that the first thing they do is look to see if the Easter Bunny made a visit.

Have a great evening!!

Cathy

Hello All! Just checking in before I call it a night. The kids are home until tomorrow for Easter break so it was a busy day around here with trying to work and hang out with them.

The big news of the day is that Kyle broke his arm this evening at the baseball field while getting ready for the game. :sad2: They were running backwards across the field during warm ups and Kyle somehow tripped or lost his balance and landed on his left arm and wrist. I wasn't even there yet. We live across from the field so it makes it so convenient that he can just walk over by himself.

Lauren was getting her shoes on then we were heading out the door. It was 15 minutes before the game started and the phone rang. I saw one of the coaches names come up on the caller id. I just knew that was not a good sign. :scared:

The doctor referred to it as a 'buckle' fracture. The ulna was broken across right below the wrist and 'buckled' in as he referred to it. Kyle has to go back on Thursday for a regular cast once the swelling goes down. He may only need the cast on for 4 weeks.

Lauren was such a great helper. :flower3: I gave her the car key and had her take Kyle over to the car while I gathered up his things. She patted and rubbed his head all the way to the hospital whenever he cried. She got to help the doctor put on the temporary cast. She was very proud.

As for the weekend, glad to see everyone had a nice time.
Chris: The eggs were very cute.
Cathy: That sounds like such fun. I can not imagine decorating and hiding 25 dozen eggs but I am sure you have helpers. The idea is really great though.

They're calling for rain the next two days so I need to go out and pick up a few things before I go to bed. Have a nice week.

Lisa

I haven't been on the boards for a while. Hi, everyone. We leave for WDW on May 2...I can't wait...staying in new Kidani village.

I just discovered the pod cast here and have been listening to the archives. I am technically challenged and finally figured it out. It's better than watching tv!

Refresh my memory...what is the date the Castaway Club members can start to book on line for our cruise?

And if anyone knows, what is the present time line for making dining reservations at WDW...it was 90 days, 180 days, 60 days, I am so confused.

Have to catch up on everyone's posts...just read about the broken arm...we are an accident prone group, you know?

Makayla, my granddaughter to the left, finished her photo shoot for the costume catalog she will be in...and it was a disaster! You get a few 4 year olds together who are only children, and ugh...what a couple days. This other little girl was dressed like a bumble bee and Makayla was dressed like a lady bug. They were supposed to pose together...the bumble bee was crying because she didn't want to be a bee...Makayla, of course, had to bring to her attention she was a lady bug...and then the bee said she had a stinger and kept bumping into Makayla...a fight ensued. they had to take their pictures separately and photo shop them together..can you imagine? They also put her in a monkey costume which was really cute and photo shopped her hanging from a tree. It is amazing what they can do...

Now for the kicker...I am embarrassed to say this...she has a bad habit of picking her nose and putting it in her mouth...oh yuk...well, she was waiting for direction from the designer and the photographer caught her doing this and took a bunch of pictures of her....he was laughing, thought it was hilarious...I told my daughter that one day she will walk into Hallmark store and see a picture of Makayla looking at her boogers on her little finger "I picked this one just for you"....I have 3 little grandsons and none of them does this...leave it to the girl.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Blessings, Susan:tinker:

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

Cathy -sounds like you get a big kick out of being the Easter Bunny - good for you! :thumbsup2

Lisa - sorry to hear about Kyle's break. Here's hoping it heals quickly.

Susan - enjoy your trip to WDW. We were supposed to go in early May and have postponed it until the end of the year. Can't help with the ADR dates but for the cruise:

90 day booking (for castaway club members) day is 6/15/09

75 day booking (for new cruisers) day is 6/30/09
