Good morning everyone - happy Thursday!

Another long day at work yesterday. We went from 8 am to 6 pm, but we got a lot accomplished. Today will be a shorter day as we'll be ending at 4.

Joanne - sounds like a great day.

Flo - sounds like you had a good time with your survey and the extra $$ are nice.

Good Thursday Morning!

Today is actually my Friday because I am taking tomorrow off because of Brooke's Birthday. Gotta get ready for a slumber party! Yipeeee. She is going to be 13 tomorrow. Wow, my baby is going to be a teenager. She is already acting like one too. And then my oldest daughter turns 16 on Saturday. Back to Back birthdays keeps me busy. And to think, they were both supposed to be June babies!

Have a great day! :flower3:

Don't want us to fall of the first page. :)

It is a beautiful day here.

Chris - enjoy your day off tomorrow!

I actually got out early today. Training ended at 2:30 and since I had a doctor's appointment (actually just the lab) at 4:30 I left at 4. I was out of the doctor's office by 4:15! Even got to do my Wii Fit tonight. I've been missing a lot of day but Mark does it every night!

Mary, good for you. Sometimes it feels so good to get out of work a little early. Good for Mark, too.

My exercise right now consists of chasing a one year old around on my knees. And of course lifting her and carrying her, etc. all day. Right now I'm ready for bed!

Flo, any chance you'll get more of those surveys?

Chris, have fun w/the birthday girls!

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Friday!

Today is actually my Thursday. tomorrow will be my Friday. I have a 2-day Children & the Law conference in Washington DC that I am about to head out for. The afenda looks promising. The only downside thing is I have drive to and from the conference today and tomorrow which is why I am up so early and about to leave.

Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Joanne,

I wish there was a chance for more survays. But they have so many people they call. This is the first one I have done in about a year. But I can hope.;)

Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

Training is done so today is back to working on getting up and running on the software. This starts with a meeting this morning with senior management to get a few decisions made.

Marsha - enjoy your conference. Good luck with the drive.

Happy Friday everyone! Well I had a busy day today. It started off with my annual mamogram at 7:45 :scared1: this morning. What idiot makes a 7:45 appointment on their day off? Apparently I do. :rotfl2: The hospital I go to for it is nice and quick. I was heading to my car at 8. Then I stopped at Curves and after I stopped at home quickly, I went down to the DMV to renew my license. There was quite a line! It took me about 30 minutes or so and they don't even give you your license. You get a temporary one and then they mail you the real one.

After that, a quick stop at AAA and then off to the car dealer to get my car serviced. While I was there, I walked over to Famous Daves to have ribs for lunch. Yum! :goodvibes My final stop was at a body shop to get an estimate. Yesterday when I got out of work, I saw a note on my car. Someone had hit it. Well it didn't look too bad, but the estimate is $1200! Since the car is only a year old, I am definitely getting it fixed. I called the person that hit me and found out that I know him. He is an intern, I think, (or an entry level engineer) that has lunch at the table I sit at sometime. He wasn't thrilled to hear the cost. Then he asks me "what do you want to do?". I am not sure what he was looking for. :confused3 I of course said that I was going to get the car fixed. So, he is going to give me the info on Monday at work. This could get interesting. :sad2: It will be interesting to see if anyone at lunch "suggests" where I should get the car fixed. I will of course go where I want.

I finally got home about 3.

Now a question: It has been a long time since I have had to place an insurance claim. Do I call my insurance company and give them the name of his company? Or do I call his company directly?

What a nightmare, but the ribs sound great!

How do you like Curves? Do you think it is worth the membership?

I just had someone back into my car last month in a parking lot also, but wasn't so lucky for them to leave a note on my car. Been so busy as work I haven't had time to go get an estimate, but they hit it really good, I probably need a whole new front bumper.

ANyway, being on the receiving end of 2 car accidents last year, if the guy gives you his insurance company and claims fault, I would just go ahead and go straight through his insurance company. By the time the insurance company called me, I had already had the estimate from the place I wanted my car fixed and told the insurance company. Since that car repair place was on their approved car repairs places, the insurance company just called them directly, went and looked at the car and then okayed the repairs. Oh, and I made them give me a rental car while my car was in the shop. If the guy that hit you doesn't give you his insurance info, then I would call your own insurance company.

Hope that helps.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for the info. :goodvibes

On Curves, I enjoy it. It is fairly quick and you don't have to wait to a piece of equipment since it is a giant circle. However, it is really for toning and some weight loss. If you are looking for strength training, then it is not the right solution. It also can have limited hours. That is why I stopped going for many years.

I used to work in car repair, be very sure you trust what's going on, and that you have their payment before you start having it fixed.

Personally, I would turn all the info over to my own insurance and let them handle it.
