Hello everyone. I hope your week is going well. It is almost over. It has been a busy one for me. I have been doing a lot of running up and down the road. I'm so glad the weekend is almost here.

I too Marsha am happy the week is almost over, busy busy busy , work work work.

it's a world of laughter, a world or tears
its a world of hopes, its a world of fear
theres so much that we share
that its time we're aware
its a small world after all

:dance3:all together now :dance3:

its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small world after all
its a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small small world

It's draggin for me. I am in a train the trainer course to get certified as a Smith Driver Instructor for work. One more thing I now have to train our staff on. Yippee (she says dripping in sarcasm). I am looking forward to the weekend but I am working on Saturday, teaching a class that is 2 hours away :headache: Oh well, I told my boss that just means I am owed an extra day off when I want :snooty: Which means I can go to WDW more often during the week as I rack up those weekends and week nights  Gotta look at the bright side!

Terrie :)

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!! :cool1:

Where has everyone been?

Is everyone CRAZY at work??? Today I am going to get up an information table at our County Fair and of course the rain is coming:headache:!!!

Hope everyone has a good day!!!

IM KILLING MYSELF LAUGHING AT THE ITS A SMALL WORLD SINGING!!!!!!:rotfl2:Laura and I needed medication:rotfl2:in March when we took my son,s stepkids on that ride. They loved it!!!! For us its like running fingernails down a chalk board:scared1:You guys are hilarious!!!!!!:rotfl2:

By the way, on the Legends Member cruise they had 1 of the Sherman Brothers as a guest. He performed for us. It included him alone on stage with a grand piano talking about him and his brothers career with WALT. In between he played many of the songs they wrote for shows like MARY POPPINS etc. But it also included the original version of ITS A SMALL WORLD! I think it was first used at the WORLDS FAIR, not sure about that. But the original version before they changed it to the attractions version was totally different. A very nice melody. THEN THEY CHANGED IT TO WHAT YOU HEAR ON THE RIDE!!!!!!

Hey - We have been busy around here. Trying to get the kids ready for school again - starts August 19th. Ughhhhhhhh. Last night I had to take the youngest DD for her sports physical to be able to participate in her various sports activities. What fun!

Just think, August starts Sunday. Just have to get through the month and it will be cruise time!!!! :woohoo:

Hi everyone

Hope you are having a good day.

I loved your singing...It's a Small World... my favorite. :lovestruc You can sing it again if you want.

My daughter leaves for college on August 20th:woohoo::yay::dance3: ....a few weeks later:sail: Finishing up our FE gifts. We sent our FE gifts and some other things to the port last year. That really worked out great. We plan to do that again.

Have a good day.

Good Evening! TGIF tomorrow! It has been quite on here. I guess people are very busy. Hopefully, this weekend will be a relaxing one for everyone. Does anyone have any special plans?

TGIF and last day of train the trainer for me  Hopefully we will be done early and I can enjoy part of the weekend. Still have to work Saturday though. Also hoping DH isn't too slammed this weekend and we can catch a movie. If not, I may have to steal my BFF from her DH and go see Leonardo DiCapprio in his new trippy movie. Ah, there's another one that could sit on a stool and read the dictionary and I'd pay to watch him :lovestruc

Monika - you mentioned shipping a box of stuff. We have shipped to WDW resorts - things like laundry detergent, snacks, juices...can those things be shipped to the port?

Also if we pack water in our luggage - since we would need it to be in a checked bag at the airport - do we need to keep that bag with us as a carry on at the port? How about laundry detergent and all the liquid stuff in our OL?

Chris I cannot believe school is back in you your girls on the 19th:eek: ours is the 26th and I think that is coming too fast!!:scared1:

Hope you all have a good evening!!! AND we are still not closed...maybe we can get to 4100???

So here is a question from the jeans, sneakers, flip flop type of people (me and DH). How should one dress for a Palo brunch?

Thanks!

Hi everyone! How is everyone's week going? I agree with Marsha...TGIF!!! We've been really slow at work and it's made for a really long week. Tomorrow is especially exciting for me...I am going to see BON JOVI again!!! This time in Chicago at Soldier Field.

I wondering if any of you might be able to give me a few pointers. We are re-doing the landscaping in front of our house. There were bushes out there that just grew insanely fast and I wanted more color. So, we tore the bushes out and put new landscaping brick and spread some new dirt. Now we are getting ready to plant some new stuff. I was thinking geraniums and miniature lilac bushes. But I also want to plant something that attracts butterflies and maybe humming birds. DH and I have tried to do landscaping in the past and we just are not very good at it and we really want to do it right this time! And make it look pretty. I do NOT want annuals, but I want color and low maintenance. What do you guys suggest? TIA!!!

Terrie - This is from the DCL website:

Dress Code

At dinner, a dress shirt or jacket is required to be worn for men and a dress or pantsuit is required to be worn by women. No jeans allowed. At brunch, attire is cruise casual, meaning no shorts, jeans, swimwear or tank tops.

Oh I love Bon Jovi. The last time I saw him was in High School for the Slippery When Wet tour LOL

There is a colorful plant called butterfly bush that attracts butterflies. Milkweed does and so do marigolds. They are all nectar plants so they should attract hummingbirds too. I know they are colorful but do not know if they are annuals or what type of maintenance they require. I love butterflies and hummingbirds so that's the only reason I even know about these plants.

Nikki - I've never shipped anything to DCL or WDW, but my guess would be that you could ship that type of stuff to DCL. And I'm pretty sure you can check in your bag that would have bottled water in it with DCL. We kept ours in a carry on when we brought bottled water, only because I was afraid DCL would break open the water bottles. I bought the bottled water when we got to Florida...I packed a smaller suitcase into a larger suitcase and then put the bottled water in the empty suitcase and used that at the end of my cruise for my souvenirs.

My kids go back to school on the 24th. I can't believe it's almost back to school time. I sure hope all the kids have enjoyed their summer breaks!!!

Thnks Debbie! I didn;t even think to look there. I figured jeans were a no no but I didn't want to overdress either. I did remember reading what the dinner attire was but could not remember any info on brunch.
