Here are some more tips I have gathered while perusing these boards. As always, add your own and/or asks any questions.
FOOD & DRINK RELATED
10. You can request a cork screw and wine glasses from your stateroom host/hostess.

These are awesome tips Marsha you ROCK!!!! Another place to find a cork screw would be cabin number 6636 :rolleyes1

Wow Terrie now that's some dedication! Posting while in a rain storm and running to class. :lmao:
Ian you are incouragable trying to scare Terrie off from the pirate: and :bride: with the threat of her least favorite sea creature... notice I was careful not to say the word Terrie.

:lmao: I waited so long for the bloody thing to load up while I was driving. Did I mention I teach Safe Driving :rotfl2: by the time it finally did I wrote my frustration on the stupid crackberry which I was about to throw into the abyss but there was no abyss nearby :confused3

IM BRINGING RUM!!!!!:cool1:

YAY! I am bringing Tequila!

Im going to buy it when we get to florida. A bottle of Parrot bay rum is way over $20 here and only $10 down there depending where you get it.

Parrot Bay Coconut rum is my favorite and what I use to make a Calypso-tini

Hey Ian and Terrie Congrats on the :bride: and pirate:. I knew they would be had during the day. :rotfl2:

Thank you!

Ok, we have a question. Since there are so many of us going to BLT after the cruise how is everyone going to get there?

We will be driving back in our car. The Tink-mobile as Wally likes to call it :goodvibes

And what should we mix with such liquid

Ah, Pineapple Juice, a smidge of grenadine then shake well over ice in martini shaker and strain into a martini glass :drinking1

Terrie :)

OK so I have a beverage and snack question - based on Marsha's wonderful tips. Thanks for posting those by the way. So if the beverages and snacks outside the theatre aren't free are you allowed to say fill up on deck 9 and bring it with you to the theatre instead? In other words can you bring in stuff from elsewhere rather then purchase food and beverage? Or do they frown on that? TIA

As Chris said, you are able to take food into the theater. Some people bring movie size boxes of candy from home so they can snack on it during the movie.

Rainettes fot me:rotfl:

read on one of Marsha's info notes...

Refillable Beer Mugs,

Who what where when how etc

Need more input, Need more input....

:worship: beer:worship:

Well, when you first get on the ship, or at any of the bars you can buy a beer mug for like $15.00. It is a nice glass mug with the DCL logo on it, or ESPN. Then you can refill the mug for, if I am remembering right, a 16 ounce price but you get 24 ounces of beer. I have one from a few years back and take it with when we cruise. I guess some say that you aren't supposed to take it back with you and you should buy one each time, but I take mine back. This will be the third time I have taken mine back and so far, no problems. The only draw back is that you have to carry the mug with you in order to use it. But, hey, no problem for me!

Bless you my child, thou shall have to endulge:rotfl2:

Hmmm I seem to have an alchohol theme going on theses boards alot...

Sorry

Doesn't bother me none. Are you thinking of doing any of the tastings while on board? Beer, Wine, Tequila? They all sound like fun to me. We have done the wine and martini before, but I am more than willing to do them again. :thumbsup2

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites - for Erik and me too. But my new fave, which I discovered during Toy Story 3 was the Dibbs Ice Cream Bites. Since I can't bring a freezer I think we'll stick with the cookie dough bites! Can you tell chocolate is a big thing in this house???

Sorry, no movies for me. I can do that at home. While on board I like to be outside at the pool or on deck or anywhere but in a movie theater. Sorry for those who like to do that. Which would be my children.

You can get ice cream to go though.

We have done martini, i would love the wine, beer, and tequila--- can't wait to find out when.... after I get my beer mug, 3 trip to find this one out... and they say it never changes, they are so wrong, the Disney Doubters

Marsha-we signed DGD up for the children's club, when do we go to get her wristband? As soon as we get on-or can we go later? Also, are there snacks or drinks for the kids in the club? Should my DD bring stuff for Molly [DGD] Thanks
It seems like everyone is at the late seating-anyone early?
Vicki

You can get the wristbands as soon as you board. You might be able to get them in the terminal, I think. In looking at the personal navigator from last year, the Oceaneer Club was open for Family Time from 12:00 - 3:30 and then open for registration or confirmation from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. The Oceaneer Lab was open for registration or confirmation during both of those times. I am not sure about whether snacks or drinks or given. I know the club provided lunch/dinner last year.

When DS was in Flounder's Reef Nursery, we brought snacks and drinks for him.

I will be at main dining. Maybe we will be close to one another.

Ya know my first year I did a big carry on now just the basics are all I take the important stuff, DH take the camera stuff, I usually have the meds and we sit in bar and watch football after lunch. But ya know Marsh this is good stuff.. You should write a book..

Thanks. People on the DIS are very knowledgeable. I just gather the tips and try to organzie them.
