09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #1

I'm having so much fun with this new "trick" I learned in Photoshop!!! I have to go finish doing some laundry tonight, but maybe tomorrow I'll get some more pictures on the computer and post some others. AND...I'll work on the Easter Wreath!

Hi all!!! One more sleep until WDW!!!! DD5 and I both were up at 5am - we can't sleep when we are excited!!

It has been so crazy trying to get everything done andfinish up at work. Had a couple of emergencies that caused some extra work. I have to go in today for a little !!!

Debbie - the photos are so awesome!!!

Ian - I didn't forget about your pins - I will gat specifics when I arrive. I have to take my laptaop for work so I am hoping to do a live TR!!

Plans for today : finish packing, make pepperoni rolls for lunch on our flight down! Usually I only have the four of us to make for but of course the fam hears pepperoni rolls and its "can you make some for us?" Oh yes I have LOTS of free time!!!

Here's my Easter Wreath! It only took me a couple of minutes to glue it all back together. Now I can't wait until next Easter to display it again!

Well, I'm going to get outside to enjoy this beautiful day, so I won't be playing on photoshop today.

just got back from disney and had a good time .but we had a few problems my sister like it to this time no small kids.she rented a scooter and we had some bad bus driver .they did not want to load it then they would tell others to just put thier strolls on it one of witch disconeted the battery and it would not start so the driver got mad and just made us push it off the bus.we had a dinner res. at poly.and was told to go to mk.and take a boat or bus. to there when we got to mk we were told no bus goes ther so go to take a boat after seating in the heat and talking to the boat driver for 20 min. he told us no boat will take the scooter over to poly we have to take monarail well my sister will never get on it .she has bad panic attacks we had to send my son over there on it on the monarail .we went to plant hollywood and had to park the scooter on the 2nd floor when we got done went to get it and the hosts was letting other people sit on it .some man was sitting on it playing like he was driveing it if we have to leave it at the hostess disk then she should have to watch it we have to pay for any and all damage to it.

just wondering, i was going thru my disney photos. I came across this one of this little guy. He was just over 2 feet long and sitting on top of this palm bush right beside the entrance to the dino ride. I got as close as i could to take photo. In the past ive had a 4 foot black snake slide across my feet while waiting in line for one of the water features at blizzard beach.

COLOR MIGHT NOT BE AS BRIGHT AS IT WAS IN REAL LIFE.

Hi all, guess we are late to this party. Let me introduce my husband Mark and myself Lynn. We are fairly new owners at BLT, just a year now. We have 5 kids 3 are married and 2 twentysomethings at home. We have 7 grandchildren. We live in IL west of Chicago. We felt very lucky to get a room on this cruise. It took us several hours of phone time that November day
We are very excited for this trip, our first member cruise. It will be the 2 of us no kids. We have a room on deck 6.
We were on the New Year cruise this past Dec./Jan. with our whole crew (18) and had a blast. On that cruise no one signed up for a meet or FE so we just did our family
Now we are trying to figure out where we can stay before and after the member cruise and flights.
I hope we can be included on this list.

Ian, that is not something I want to see! Remember, I hate snakes!!!!!! I think I would pass out if one crossed my feet at Blizzard Beach or any where. But then again, we like Typhoon Lagoon better and I'm sure there is nothing like that there.

Morning -

Sorry to answer you so late Marsha, but I did ok bowling the other night. Got my average on the nose one game, missed it by two the next, then was over by 23 pins the third game. So overall, I did ok.

Anyone got big plans for the weekend? We are going to my grandman's 90th birthday party tomorrow at her nursing home. I just can't believe she is 90! And she is doing pretty good. Just forgetful.

Well, my big plans are that I am in St. Louis, MO right now and tomorrow I am judging Sweepstakes at a Golden Retriever Specialty show at Purina Farms. This is my first sweepstakes assignment and I am very excited One of my aspirations is to be a licensed AKC judge for Goldens. You can't even apply until you have been in it for 12 years and meet a bunch of requirements and qualifications. I am in my 11th year so I am starting the process

Hi Lynn and Mark Welcome to the group! Better late than never There are a great bunch of people on here and everyone is just so nice This is our (Terrie - me and Wally - DH) first member cruise and first Disney Cruise. We are very excited!!! We are also on deck 6. There's a good bunch signed up for the FE. You can find the info on page one. I am sure it will be loads of fun!

Ian, it looks like corn snake to me. They come in different color patterns. My favorites are the brighter orange ones My mom never would let me keep any snakes The black snake that slid over your feet was probably a black racer. They are fairly common here and I have seen them in my yard from time to time.

Welcome!!! I am on my way to the WORLD today with our whole family - 14 of us!!! We are soooo excited!! I'm glad you joined us - it has been so fun chatting with everyone!!!

OK now that I have that out of my system....we are caravaning - 3 cars to Pittsburgh airport. Of course our usual way has some closures!! My stepmom will be driving my Dad's truck - a HUGE silverado - she is not so fond of doing it but DSis' Boyfriend will be driving stepmom's car. Boyfriend has NO sense of direction and DH is NOT good when people follow him!!!

Pepperoni Rolls are a family favorite - my gram taught me to cook, sew and so many other things....I still will make homemade bread - although no every week the way she did. So I make home made bread and cut the pepperoni in sticks, some I just do like that others I add in cheese (pepperjack or mozzarella) and hot peppers. Wrap the dough around all the stuff and bake for 20-25min. YUM!!!!
