Awwww, Mannnnnnn. I want our documents!

So, as you can tell, we haven't gotten ours yet either. Hopefully soon. DH keeps saying any day now we should be getting our stuff and I say yep, any day now. ;)

Whew just returned from a week away at Cub Scout camp and don't know that I will be able to catch up. A week without computer or cell phone ahh how did I survive???? Anyway I received our documents today so they will probably be there soon. I have been gone since last Sunday so is there any pressing issues or information that I need to look into? I do have one question for the group. I know I read somewhere that Southwest was joining the airport check in process but did not see it in paper work or for that matter in the resort information. Did anyone else see the notice that Southwest was joining the resort airline check in. Maybe I have been eating to many bugs and camp food and am delerious:confused3

Will be on this week trying to catch up.

Scott

I got mine too  Are we only allowed two suitcases each?

Terrie :)

Terrie,

You need more than 2 suitcases? What side of the ship are you on because sounds like the ship will be leaning that way with all your stuff :rotfl:

On a serious note I was planning on my wife and I each having our own suitcase that won't be full so that on the way home we can fill one with our clothes and the other with the goodies. Am I kidding myself will I need at least 3?

On a good note I only have to take 3 personal days off from school as one of the days is a primary election day.

My DW is looking over my shoulder and is asking me what type of clothes do we need to pack now that we got 2 luggage tags each and my DIS friends are saying that 2 suitcases is not enough. Can someone point me in the right direction to get a suggested packing list.

Time for bed.

Scott

LAURA AND I ALWAYS TAKE 1 EACH. WE MAKE SURE THEY ARE WELL UNDER 50 lbs. HALF MY BAG IS MY PIRATE OUTFIT.:rotfl2: USUALLY OUR BAGS ARE HALF EMPTY GOING DOWN. WE LEAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR THE GIFTS, ALL THE DISNEY STUFF I BUY:rotfl2: AND THE LIQUOR. WE ALSO HAVE CARRY ON BAGS. MINE IS SMALL SUITCASE ON WHEELS. ITS ALMOST EMPTY GOING DOWN. EXCEPT THIS TIME WE WILL HAVE ALL THE FE GIFTS:rotfl2: EVERY MEMBER CRUISE WE ARE DOING A LOT OF REPACKING ON LAST NIGHT. tHE BAGS HAVE TO BE OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR BY 11pm.

I thinnk you can manage with one bag each, especially if you mix and match.

2 swimsuits each & water shoes (if you choose to wear them) &/or flip flops
1-2 cover-ups for the ladies
2-4 day outfits (shorts, same flip flops or shoes you wear to the beach (I needed 2 outfits because I spent the CC days in my bathing suit)
2-4 dinner outfits & 1 pair of shoes each
- Men: black slacks & you can mix/match shirts (DH took a pair a of black & khaki pants last year)
- Women: 2 pairs of capris, pants or skirts with different blouses or shirts

If you are doing pirate night, then a pirate outfit.
If you are doing Palo, men can dress up the slacks by adding a polo shirt (for brunch) or button shirt, tie, and/or jacket (for dinner) and women can wear a skirt & blouse or dress.
If you are going to work out, then gym clothes and sneakers.

For DS last year, I just needed one outfit a day (and I really did not need that many because on CC days he spent those days in his swimsuit), his water shoes, sneakers, and pull-ups. Thank God I will not be needing pull-ups this trip. :cool1:

I think that covers it (at least for my family). I really overpacked last year. I am trying to cut back. It was a mess the last night trying to fit all the gifts in the clothes into the suitcases.

OK just to clarify - do the guys HAVE to wear long pants to dinner - no shorts??

When we spend a week at WDW I take 2 large suitacses, 1 medium size, 2 pilot carry- ons and the girls each take a backpack with their stuff for the plane. Now granted we have an OL - so that saves a TON of space - now in all that I pack at least 2-3 princess dresses for each of the girls and non-perishable foods - cereal, poptarts, gummy snacks, crackers ----I can't imagine that you would NEED more than 2 each - I am guessing Terrie's need comes from FEs and her pirate outfits - Scott you missed her discussion about her shoes!!!!

I got my Docs yesterday, too. We are doin the DOC DANCE!!!
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
Boy, they sure look different than before. I like it. Particularly the reference to the Disney vacation club on the front. Makes you think these are really special(assume they are).

Good Morning! Have a wonderful day.

From the DCL website:
Dining Dress requirements vary by venue or theme night on your cruise. In general, most meals are "Cruise Casual"—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops. Most cruises also have special theme nights with additional attire requirements. Here's a breakdown of these events by cruise itinerary.

First night: cruise casual—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
One Pirate Party (deck party) - Pirate outfit if you chose
One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women
Final night: cruise casualoptional "dress-up" night—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops

Now, grant it, over the years, DCL seems to have gotten lax about what is required in the main dining rooms but, not at Palo. You cannot wear shorts to Palo.

I received this in my email. Though I would share just in case anyone is looking for flights.
