half of our bags are still in the car, and the others are in the dinning room not unpacked. but I did get off my butt and mow the front yard. so I am spent.

I wish we could actually cut our grass. We've had so much rain that we haven't been able to get out there and do it! I'm not complaining though!! At least we have been able to unpack and do tons of laundry!! So what if our yard looks like a hay field!

Our back yard is still over 3 foot high. But our halloween decorations are up. Ok well some of them are. We have a graveyard with 3 Haunted Masion tombstones. A Mickey vampire, a Tink witch, and some Disney Pumpkins. We will be adding more soon. I will post some pictures as soon as I get around to it.

Our family is having a very hard morning. Our 11 1/2 year old lab, Savannah, died this morning. She had a tumor in her heart that ruptured. She went very quickly and we were very fortunate that it didn't happen last week while we on the cruise.

Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear this. I understand what y'all are going through. We lost our Basset of 10 years last August, about a week after we got back from the beach. It's VERY hard to lose an animal that you love so much, especially one that you've had for so long. Like you, I am very glad that this didn't happen while you were on the ship. Y'all are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you lots of hugs.

We are very sorry to hear about that Elizabeth. Tough to say goodbye to those animals that you love and have been with your family for so long. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear about Savannah. Losing a "family member" is really tough.

I have two long haired miniature dachshunds. My oldest, Schnitzel (as in weiner schnitzel) is 13 years old - and I dread the day when I have to say goodbye to her.
My other pup, Tinkerbell, is 8 years old.

I have two sons and 3 grandchildren in the area - which is wonderul.
But my puppies are the ones that greet me when I come home - and love me unconditionally.
They truly are part of my "family"!

Again, my sympathies on the loss of Savannah

We're thinking of you. Sabrina was very brave when we lost our yellow lab a couple years back. It's very hard.
