09/05/09 LABORless MAGICal Meanderers

OMGosh! You sound just like me. I keep adding things onto our Itinerary as I find them online or dream them up! We also have tons of "pluses" left on old tickets, never thought of using them up this trip!

I have already booked Country Inn and Suites for Friday night but am seriously considering booking it for Thursday night as well so we could fit in Kennedy (haven't been since my older ones were little) or maybe just getting a Disney day in. . . :rotfl:

Ibela, where is that picture of Asher??!! He is gonna be grown before we see him! I know he is a sweet heart, and how's the TA new venture going?

UGAFan, what fun things have you dreamed up now for this cruise and what goodies have you bought?! I never did vote on the shoes! I wanted them all.

and one more time? anyone??? what the heck am I doing wrong with this trip ticker thingy? they always just come up, I've even added pics to them in the past but I can.not.make. it work!!

Hey, we're staying at the Country Inn as well! Too cool! I know what you mean about adding on extra stuff!!! Since it doesn't look like we're gonna get to make it to WDW, I was thinking about trying to get a character breakfast somewhere since we're already planning on going to DTD after the cruise, and surprising my DSIL and DN with it. Obviously, we won't have park tickets, so it will have to be at one of the resorts. I was thinking either Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, or 'Ohana. We've had Chef Mickey's before, but only for dinner, so any of them would be new to us. I've been wanting to try 'Ohana for a while, so of course I'm leaning towards that a little, but Chef Mickey's has all the "classic" characters that the DSIL and DN might enjoy a little more. I guess I've still got plenty of time to figure that out though!! Anyone have any thoughts to share on any of the places that I mentioned??

As far as your ticker, which website are you getting it from? I was able to just copy the link and then paste mine straight into my signature. The only thing I can think of is that maybe you aren't using the right code?? I got mine from MagicalKingdoms, and I used the BBCode or UBBCode. Hope that helps.

oh DUH! sorry 'bout that Aussieinvasion! How is the new TA venture going?? Where ya been?

oohhh! off the ship, feeling a little blue that the cruise is all over and done? Stop at a resort for late character breakfast?!!! how awesome does that sound!

We love Chef Mickeys but again, only been for dinner. Have been to O'hanas for B and D and actually like B as much as Dinner! Can anyone say POG juice??? :cloud9: My then DS4 cried for it he loved it so much. :rotfl: We have had good servers each time BUT I hear that is luck of the draw. And just being at the POLY is heaven for me. Whereas Chef Mickey's is always just so classic and fun. I hear we may get to spin some napkins on the cruise too!

I'm off to try the magickingdom ticker. we shall see.

CIS here we come!!!!!! well, 187 days or less!

Thanks!! I knew someone would know what my vague description was. :thumbsup2

Here's baby Asher in his now 3 month glory:

That is deliciousness! Asher is soooo cute! What a fetching smile!

I started reading this thread back when you were still expecting I think?

And may I just say? 8-9 month olds are my absolute weakness (Ashers adjusted cruise age!:rotfl: ). Thank goodness we took care of that little itch after #6 was born! HA!

Can't wait to meet him. And that age just travels so well.

:thanks: Thank you Thank You Thank You UGAFan , my guess is the other sites I was using just were not compatible? I've used magicalkingdoms before (love love those dinner plates for free dining, I insert a pic of my kiddos at Chef Mickeys, too cute. Alas, no free dinnig this year:sad1: , we are cruising baby!!! :yay: I did want to steal your background but this one is good too!

We are finally off of Page 20 of this thread, thought we would never make it! So here is a post just to bump a little;)

and now it is off to dinner prep

ibela-OMG! What a cutie he is! I love that picture! He looks like the happiest little man ever! Thanks for sharing him with us!

kileybeth- I'm so glad that you got your ticker figured out! Sometimes that kind of stuff can be a pain!! And yes, I think there will definitely be some napkin-waving going on during the cruise!

Thank you ladies! I'm hoping he'll travel well then. We didn't travel with Fallon until she was 17 months so I'm not sure if the no walking (I assume) will help or hinder us on the trip. Her first trip was a Disney cruise too!

Sounds like a tradition is in place! Wow, I might have another kiddo if that was our tradition! :rotfl: NOT! But seriously, all of mine have traveled so well at that age, car or flight there is just such a contentment about them and their little personalities are starting to shine. Even my one super colicky baby was a complete joy at 8 months!

New question of the day! What do the kids need/use their KTTW card for anyway? do they really need to carry it around or wear it themselves? While I may give the teens supervised agreed upon spending limits (I am crazy I believe) on the KTTW card, the 6 and 4 year old won't need that? To get back on the boat but I will have a day bag then? Just wondered if they needed them in the clubs? Or to order food or something? just trying to decide on this lanyard thingy. So I can check it off my list. I have the need to acommplish something ahead of time! So much to wait on until closer into sail date.

My name is Elizabeth and my family and I will be joining all of you on the cruise. There will be four of us...
Geoffrey my husband,
Preston my 9 year old son,
and Wilson my 3 year old daughter.

Preston will be celebrating his 10th birthday while we are on the boat and my husband and I will be celebrating our 15th anniversay- a little late. (our anniversary is in June)

This trip will be a total surprise to our children. We live four hours from Disney, so we are going to stop at Disney on Friday afternoon to eat dinner at Downtown Disney and then travel on to our hotel at Cape Canaveral. Once we get in the car we will put in the Disney Cruise DVD and watch the children's faces. I can't wait!!!:cheer2:

I am a planner, so needless to say I am driving my husband CRAZY. I can say that I have been very impressed with him. Usually I have to do all the planning and then as we get in the car or on the plane he starts asking questions. This time he has really helped plan a little.Still he can't understand why I need to print out our door magnets NOW.

I would love to do the FE. I know my children would love this. I haven't found a FE that I love, but believe me I will keep searching.

Instead of ordering a basket for the kids to receive in the room, I have been picking up things that they will need and use on the cruise. I am going to put the things in a bucket and sneak them in the room before they get there.:thumbsup2

See you soon.

:dance3: Welcome disney_minnie :dance3: Great to have you with us. Well the girls will have no shortage of friends on this trip, as I think kileybeth mentioned before there are a number of little one's in that age group! What a wonderful surprise for your kids, it must be so hard to keep the secret.

I hope everyone is doing really well. I have been super busy over the last few weeks with training and starting to get my first lot of bookings roll in. So many people here wanting to travel to Hawaii:goodvibes
They actually offered me a trip to Fiji for next week as an 'educational' where they would allow me to do hotel and resort inspections etc but I had to turn it down as my husband could not take the time off work. I was surprised they offered me something like this so soon, if at all:laughing: I am hoping to complete some training soon and become a Disney specialist for out here. That is still in the planning stages. I have just enrolled for my international cruise accreditation so that should be fun.

Anyway, enough chatter about me. I can see you guys have been very busy in my absence and love reading the posts and catching up on all the gossip;) Little Asher is just gorgeous Irene, what an angel. ;)

And one final question to all the experienced crusiers, (or just if you have a good idea about this) Do you wear your KTTW card on a lanyard? and if not, what do you do with it? I have visions of them getting lost, forgotten, and running back to the cabin repeatedly. . .altho, truth be told, I hate things around my neck. . .ideas?

Hi. I also wear my KTTW card in a lanyard. If you don’t have lanyards, I can give you one or two, if you’d like. We are Castaway Club members and I own DVC, so I get more lanyards than I need.

aahh, smilingmouse that is so sweet of you! I would be more then happy to pay you for them.

The more I have thought about this the more I know it is my DD14 and DS6 who will want to wear these. DD4 probably will want to as well but not sure she is big enough for that and she has a smallish (more her size)tink lanyard she loves. And DH and DS17 will have wallets on their persons at all times so they are good to go. I am just so undecided what I will end up doing! Probably some combo of both. But really two sounds perfect!

You can PM me if you want.

No payment needed! I I’m happy to help spread the pixie dust around :wizard: I hope you don’t mind that the lanyards will have either a Castaway Club or DVC member logo on them. If you don’t mind more than one design, I can get you 4 of them.
