09/05/09 LABORless MAGICal Meanderers

Ok, Im really on the fence about us adults dressing up now. On the one hand, its our DD birthday on that day and we want to make it special for her and get into the spirit of things but on the other hand I just know when Jay see's that not everyone will be dressing up he'll probably feel a bit silly. Hmmmm, what to do.

If you want to dress up then I think you should! There will be other people dressed up, just not everyone. Same as formal night - just because everyone doesn't dress up doesn't mean I won't (and make dh dress up too, lol).

Ok, why not. I really think it is the right thing to do for my DD to celebrate her birthday and it will definately make it more memorable and its not like we will have the opportunity to cruise DCL again, well not for a very long time at least:sad1: If it wasnt for the expense of the airfares, I might have been able to convince DH to book again. Maybe if we win the lotto....:rotfl:

Im waiting for the airfares to be released... dreading it because of the money aspect, but anxiously waiting on it to satisfy the planner in me:) At this stage looks like us adults will be about $2500 each and the kids about $2000 each. Very scary:scared1:

Hi all,

Just got back from our RC cruise, and our few day in Animal Kingdom we all had a awasome time. We have 1 more cruise planned before this cruise. But we are all looking forward to meeting you all.

:scared1: That can't be the best rate, right?! What about miles from a credit card or something? :scared:

Hi all,

Just got back from our RC cruise, and our few day in Animal Kingdom we all had a awasome time. We have 1 more cruise planned before this cruise. But we are all looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome back! Which ports did you go to?

Woohoo! One year from today!!
I can't believe that it was all the way back in December that this thread was started! I guess posting here and talking about the trip with everyone really does help pass the time!!
Hope everyone is doing well!!

I can't believe one year from today! I hope the weather cooperates for us. ;)

The DH and I were just talking about that the other night. After all the hurriances that we've had this year, I think he's a little nervous about it being the same way next year. He asked me what would happen if one were to come about before our cruise. I told him that Disney watches the weather VERY closely, and that if need be, we would probably change our routes, which means that we may end up in different ports. I don't know if it reassured him any, but it made me worry a little as well!

It's been a while since I been on thread. I am glad to see that we have had more join us. A request came in for our ages.

No children
Is anyone else traveling with no kids? This is our first cruise and for someone who is not a big kid lover some think I am crazy but after doing the comparision shopping we liked what disney offered. Everyone, our cruise is less than a year away!!!

Our group is going to be the DH, myself, DSIL, and DNiece (who's 23), so no kids for us either.

Yep, sorry to say that IS the special rate. Mileage rewards over here in Aus are not very good at all so we would not qualify for any free or discounted travel with that. Very, very scary.... :scared1:

Well I was moving house when we reached our 1 year to go milestone! Just got everything unpacked and back online. Cant believe its less than a year away now! I kept saying to hubby, this time next year we'll be in boarding, this time next year we'll be in Key West etc etc.....
Thanks Kurt for updating me with your details, will add it now:flower3:

Anyone get the email about the new taxes or surcharges? Anyone know what these are yet?

The thing Im wondering is that we added on the REAS package and now there is an additional amount on our booking we haven't paid for. We paid the balance off earlier in the year but now there is an outstanding amount. Hmmm, I guess time will tell:confused3

Hi, I booked this cruise for my BF and myself for next year. His birthday is Sept. 5. This past August I took him to Disney World for the first time and he loved it. He knows I have a cruise booked for his birthday but he doesn't know what ship. My kids will hate me though as they are not coming along, but I myself am a huge Disney fanatic. However unknown to my kids we booked a 4/3 package for Thanksgiving so they will get a 4 day cruise then - that will be a wonderful surprise.

Hi mom2tcdx2,

Welcome welcome welcome:dance3:
Great to have you onboard. Your BF is a very lucky guy!! He's going to get an awesome surprise. If you give me your deets I'll pop your names on the front page. We're a friendly little group. :)
Have you cruised DCL before, or will this be your first time?

Well if it were up to me, I certainly wouldn't add on extra fees. It's an add-on package, the cruise is technically still fully paid up . . .

Welcome!:welcome: So glad to have you as part of our group!!
I am very jealous that you are getting to sail on the Wonder in a little over a month! You'll definitely have to let us know how it is!!!

So what do you guys think of the 2010 itineraries? Anyone planning anything? I'm personally not going to Europe with 2 little ones until they're MUCH older and can appreciate/keep up with their surroundings but it sounds on the main board like many are.

I think it has created a lot of talk, that's for sure!!! I don't think the DH and I would really have any interest in the European ports, and I know for sure that we couldn't afford it anyway!!!
