princess: Emily was cute today. She got a Cinderella "soft" doll for her birthday. I asked her today if she was planning on bringing it on our WDW/Cruise trip. She asked, "What about Snow White? Won't she be sad?" Recently, Snow White has become her favorite princess. I am so happy because I have dark hair and she is my favorite too!:goodvibes Cinderella is so last year to her. So, we will need to find a Snow White dress and doll before our trip. The Disney store is expensive for the Snow White dress, I think it was $40 and that was only the dress! We'd still have to buy the shoes and hair bow. I am hoping to catch them having a sale after Halloween. I can only wish! The ones at Party City and Wal-Mart are cheaply made and wouldn't make it through our trip.

We are back from our vacation. You have all been very busy. It took me all morning (when I should be working) to catch up with all the posts.
Made a side trip to Downtown Disney and picked up a few things for Secret Santa.
Really unhappy that they no longer have the "home store", we were looking for some things for our Mickey room. Now home items are in Mickey's Pantry and World of Disney store. But selection is very limited.
The worse part of visiting DTD? Now I want to go back to WDW for a week, soon.:goodvibes

I thought there would be more posts when I got online today. Where is everyone?

:cool1: Welcome Back! :cool1:

Believe it or not, I am not "planning" on going to DTD during our December trip. However, if I can't find a 2007 WDW scrapbook anywhere else, I may have to take a quick ride on the bus to DTD for the World of Disney store or on our way back home from port on Saturday. We'll see.

Yes, I did.. I have a cold on top of everything else now..
When it rains.. it pours.. :sad2:

I just want to be healthy again !!! :guilty:

We'll see if we can make a presentation onboard. However, Cole will be with us and usually children are not allowed at timeshare presentations. Also, both adults needs to be present. Why is that? Just curious.

 How come Oregon doesn't allow you to receive money for your reference of Brack and Annette to the DVC?

- Jennifer

You would not both have to go to this one. It is very informal and I have seen kids there also. If you decided to buy and wanted a one on one you would probably both need to be there.

Oregon is just weird. I have no idea why referral gifts are illegal. Smoking pot, euthanasia and live *** acts on stage ARE legal here, not accepting referral gifts.:confused3

Beth:

I saw your post on the other site regarding CBR. Which section did you stay in there? We we were in Martinque, but the farthest building (21). After awhile it became a joke with us about filling the refillable cup and drinking it all by the time we got back to our room. It may not have been bad if it was just DH and I, but we had a 4 and 2 year old with us. They had enough walking at the parks. It really is a spread out resort. I guess it could have been worse. We could have been in Aruba or Barbados.

We were spoiled this past WDW trip because we stayed at the Beach Club on the second floor. So, we just walked down one-flight of stairs to everything.

Has anyone seen the WDW resorts specials on the Travel Channel with Samantha Brown? It was like deja vu' when she went to the Beach Club Resort. She stayed in our room!

That's good to know (about the DVC). The other has me baffled!

We stayed at CBR also and it was WAY to spread out for me! We stayed at the BC Villas and loved it there. Right at the back door to Epcot and very convenient for all we needed. :thumbsup2 We own 100 DVC points at BCV, 250 at VWL. DrHug is always wanting to buy more! :sad2: I'm thinking we should hold out for some to go on sale in Californian though. Spread it around as they say!

Jennifer,

CBR is where Pooh_Girl and I stayed the last time we went to Disney in December of '04 for our Disneymoon. We thought that it was really nice, but then again we rarely went to the main building. :confused3 :lmao: We were in Jamaica and it was only a SHORT walk to the bus stop from there. We have some nice memories of it though! After that trip we decided that December is the BEST time to vacation at Disney: 1) It's cooler temperature 2) Early December is Value Season 3)Less people in early December and 4) It's decorated up for Christmas!!! :santa: The main thing we learned is, just because it's Florida does NOT mean it doesn't get cold!!! We went with minimal warm-wear and because of it Pooh_Girl got a cold and almost ruined our honeymoon!! :rolleyes1

We probably saw that one.. We have seen a Ton of Specials on WDW.. :happytv:

We have friend's who sons are in the background of the annoying rerunning commercial about WDW Water Parks :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 Thank you for the great photos! The Segway tour looked fun. How was it balancing on them? I couldn't help but notice the pick-up truck in the World Showcase. Was your tour before the park opened?

- Jennifer

The Segway Tour was the best we have done at WDW. Balancing them is not as hard as you might think. They work by a gyroscope and it was really easy.

Yes the tour is before the World Showcase section opens up which was kind of cool in itself. :thumbsup2

Brack:

I am so glad you liked your "Home Away from Home." We'll be staying next door to Angie at the Wilderness Lodge while she is at the Villas in December (that is, if she isn't at the Villas @ AK).

I guess this is for Angie too, since she is a member of the Disney Vacation Club . .

How exactly does the Vacation Club work? We found some pricing on points and even some people selling theirs. But, it seemed very expensive. Did we miss something? So many people are doing it and maybe we misunderstood the timeshare. Thank you for any "general" information you can pass on. We really don't have the time to sit down with them for a few hours and tour a facility in December. We'll have the kids with us. But, would like to know if it is something we should be looking into for future trips.

- Jennifer

We hope to stay at AKL before the cruise also.

THE DVC finally made sense for us when we went to meeting on the ship last year and then met with a salesman. The initial investment is large BUT it is for such a long time period and it can be "willed" to our child. Taking the long term aspect into consideration made it worth the expense. We now say that we wish we would have done it long ago.

Go to the meeting on the ship and then if it intrigues you make an appointment with a salesman. It is not high pressure. The kids are in their activities so you can take the time.

If you decide to buy into it don't forget to mention our name. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

:scared1: It looks as if the sky is about to fall outside today. We are scheduled for some thunder showers. For once, the weatherman may be right! :thumbsup2 It was "suppose" to storm yesterday. But, it was beautiful (except a little humid).:cool2: I took the kids to a big park with a play castle. We had a nice picnic and they played for a bit. A playground is very different on a school day. It was nice.;)

- Jennifer

We're in WV at the camp this week. The leaves are changing and we are having a very bright and loud thunder storm right now.
