This is going to be our anniversary present too!! We will be married for 3 years on 12/11 so we thought why not do something REALLY special!!! :goodvibes

3 years! My DS has been married 4 times longer than you guys!

Wow, young love how cool is that?

We've passed Birmingham and now are headed toward Atlanta. I hope we make Durham, NC by midnight but it looks like it will be later.

Will I be near your store? We are stying in Brick. Seeing customers on Staten Island on Thursday. NYC on Friday. We are going to Cape May and taking the ferry to Delaware for the day on Saturday. To Atlantic City & Ocean City on Sunday. Not sure what we are doing on Monday before we head to Newark airport for a late evening flight. We are also going to the ice cream place you told me about in Pt Pleasant. We are staying with a friend and he is doing the driving this trip, I will be at the mercy of two men.

Ohhhh Hoffman's Ice Cream is THE BEST!!!! you'll never want store bought again..

My BAB is in the Ocean County Mall in Toms River on Hooper Ave. :woohoo:

I know Island Heights, and my DDIL is from Lacey Township.

Plutojudy--you're staying in Brick? That's our country! I see that you're going to Point Pleasant. That's one of our favorite activities on nice summer evenings. We're less than 30 minutes from there without the summer traffic. You'll have a wonderful time, and get to enjoy some of our beautiful Jersey Shore.

Beth

Most people dont know Island Heights but they do know Toms River.. We are such a tiny town we dont have mailmen.. We have to go to the post office in town every day to get our mail.. we get town issued PO Boxes :upsidedow

Hey, just thought I'd leave a quick note, my DW and I are packing the van, we're heading out to the Jimmy Buffet concert here at Alpine Valley. It's a yearly thing for us.

:hippie:

I love Jimmy and would give anything to go see a concert. He is never near where I am. :confused3

pfishgirl: My granddaughter recently got a bear from your store! "Champ" is now a happy member of our household, and "Weasel Dog" the koala now resides with her cousin John. She and her little cousin got a trip to BAB as birthday gifts.

Brack: Thanks for the compliment on the logo. We love the inside cabins not only for the $$$ saved, but for the fact that they are very dark at night. Our master suite has windows on all four sides of the house, and it's never really dark inside. We love not having windows when we cruise. As funny as this will sound, we also love the split bathroom. We live in a five-member household with one very tiny bathroom. It's about the size of the bathrooms in the Cat 11's and 12's. The split bath give us a bit of luxury! We'll be adding two more baths to the house once we finally get everything settled, but that will probably be two more years. In the meantime, we'll just have to continue cruising for some bathroom luxury!

As for Christmas cards--I usually forget to send them until mid-January. My friends and family just think I like to make the holidays last a bit longer!

I've never seen Jimmy Buffet, but would love to someday! I attend a lot of concerts because that's one of the things my office provides for the town. On August 11, we're having Richard Street, who was one of the lead singers of the Temptations way back when..... He does a show which contains some Temptations music, some Four Tops and some other Motown stuff. If anyone is going to be around and would like to join us backstage for dinner and fun, let me know! Unfortunately, Jimmy Buffet is still a bit out of our price range. I think that would be a great show for a shore town!

Well, I'm off to get ready. We're heading out to the Mets game this afternoon!

Awww, sorry to hear that. It was an awesome party. Me, my DW, and her sister and hubby went. We set up a canopy and three tables and had two grills going. Lots of partying, it's unlike any other tailgating I've been to. My DW and her sister went into the concert, while B-I-L and I stayed out and relaxed in the parking area. Lots of people do that. I forgot my camera though :(

We are getting an Awesome cheedah and I cant wait to add him to my collection too :woohoo:

We are just back from a weekend in Washington State for a neice's wedding. Fun seeing my brother's family.

Christmas is pretty low key at our house. Tree will go up probably when we get home. Gifts are minmal here also. :confused3 Something for DGKs, usually a trip or $$ for our kids, little something for a couple of our neices and nephews, my mom and that's it. We did not buy gifts for each other last year. I'm not sure why, but we do like to cruise each Dec and that just seems enough to us, I guess. DrHug will type up a letter and we will mail out cards a few days before Christmas. We will be frantic to get them finished. :sad2: We are the worst procastinators but always come thru just at the last minute.

I had a wonderful email waiting for me this morning! We are Cat12 GTY and we had a message that DCL has made some pricing changes on this cruise and since we are paid in full, our credit card will be credited $199! :dance3: This is very good news, since our DCL Panama Canal trip went UP $200 because of additional charges by Panama for the crossing.

DH and I don't exchange gifts with each other for any occasion. We put money aside so that we can enjoy our cruises, WDW trips and other things for us and our family that will help us build memories. We take lots of photos and will have those memories and photos longer than we would have anything else. Our wedding anniversary is 12/30 and DH's birthday is 1/7, so we would have a frenzy of gift-buying instead of enjoying holiday moments. I plan to build lots of memories on this vacation!

Good Monday to everyone! :yay:

I am at Camp Tomahawk just outside of Hedgesville, WV. It is a beautiful day here.

We're just waiting for the Older Adults to arrive for their four day camp. My DW is in charge of planning and putting on this camp. I'm here to "support" her. It will be a fun camp.

I'm in the chapel because I handle all of the A/V "stuff".

It is nice to have wireless internet out here now. :woohoo: In between rehearsals I can DIS! :surfweb:

I can even post a bunch of fluff to get our post count up a bit. :surfweb:

Maybe we can even make 2,000 by the time I go home on Thursday afternoon! :thumbsup2
