We are tired of the rain too! We head to San Antonio in three weeks. I have a friend that lives in San Antonio. Her daughter is turning three (on my birthday!). There is a funny story behind that. . . I was down for her baby shower and she was feeling "funny" all day. That night, the pain got worse. This is her second child. So, she knew what labor pains felt like. So, she went to the hospital. A couple hours later her husband called (we were staying at their house). He said they were keeping her and she was delivering soon. I was so excited because it was almost midnight and my birthday was the next day. I was happy when he called and said she delivered on my birthday. It is neat knowing others with your birthday. Also, we were so lucky to be in San Antonio when she delivered. It was a wonderful weekend.

Have you been to the outlets in San Marcos and Roundrock (nice upscale shops)? We always have to stop at the Disney outlet in San Marcos on our way to San Antonio. Also, it is always a nice stopping point heading down. I don't know if you've been to Grapevine Mills Mall in awhile, but they now have a Disney outlet there too. I'm like a big kid when I see a Disney store. So, the kids don't have to drag me into the store like I see most kids having to do to their parents. I'm right there with the kids looking at all the new stuff.

Hi Jennifer, I was born on my aunt's 30th birthday. We always had a special bond. She really spoiled me.
I still share my birthday with Prince Charles. Funny, he never sends me a card.

We lived in San Antonio for a short time and visited San Marcos often mainly for the Disney Outlet Store.

We're visiting our DS in Dallas in a few weeks so thanks for the tip on Grape Vine Mills. Another mall we love to visit! :thumbsup2 Starbucks and Disney .... it don't get no better than that!

:sad2: We are still under water here in Texas. I went to the store yesterday and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, the sky dropped. It was pouring. I had to made a decision to make a run for it or head home. Cole needed milk. So, I had to brave the storm. Luckily, I had an umbrella in my car. However, the rain was coming from all directions. So, the only thing dry by the time I got into the store was the very top of my head. I was a sight! By the time I got out of the store, the rain had stopped (for the time being). . .

You'll love Grapevine Mills Mall! They have TWO Starbucks and a Disney Outlet. Have fun!:goodvibes

I was walking by a Build-A-Bear the other day and saw the infamous hippos. They are so cute and my favorite color (purple).:)

checking in! Rain, rain - go away! We went to Sea World San Antonio this weekend and it rained - ALOT! Oh well - we went to the Riverwalk Mall and the Alamo - the Disney Store there was having a fabulous sale! ;)
My favorite store in that mall is the Godiva store. Yum! Yum! Of course, I like the one at Stonebriar (Frisco, TX) too! The chocolate covered strawberries in the window are so tempting!:cloud9:

Do they have chocolate covered strawberries on the cruise? I never saw any last time. We are planning on a dinner and brunch at Palo this time. Do they have the strawberries at the brunch?

Hello All!
My DD (8 now, will be 9 by this cruise) just got off the Magic yesterday. This was our 3rd cruise on her, and we have more fun each time. The 11 night Med cruise was a very busy one, due to all the ports of call. So we decided we needed a cruise to recover from the cruise. :cool1:

I booked onboard for this sailing (we'll be in 7620), and plan on turning the reservation over to a travel agent. I've heard that Chuck at All Season's Travel is one of the best agents to work with. Has anyone here used him?

Can't wait to get back to the Magic!
Wendy

In the food picture threads, I've seen a lot of images of CCS's. I remember one of the members here writing about asking for them from Room Service even though they're not on the menu.

I'm not much of a CCS fan, but if you put some Cherry Cheesecake in front of me, watch out, I'm not responsible for any stray fingers that get between us.

Welcome aboard Wendy. :thumbsup2 We're a small crew but a fun one. Some of us have sailed together before and we all love the Magic. We're not a real chatty group but maybe that will change as we get closer. :grouphug:

Welcome! We have not used All Seasons, we have used Dreams Unlimited a couple of times including a large group of us on this trip. But, I have heard good things about both on this thread. I'd check with both and see what kind of on board credits they are each offering.

I've seen lots of CCS's on board Wonder, and even had some delivered to my room as part of a lovely surprise from the production chef, but I can't have chocolate, so I couldn't eat them. My DIL makes white chocolate covered strawberries for me, and I love those!

My DH finally agreed that the shirts might be fun. I'll be ordering ours next Friday (payday;)). He's finally looking forward to meeting my "imaginary" friends once on board. He's always enjoyed meeting anyone from the DIS, but he likes to be grumpy about things beforehand. You'll recognize him once we're on board. He's always wearing a "Grumpy" shirt or hat!

Beth

After I asked on here about the chocolate covered strawberries, Bill checked the food picture thread for me. He found photos from the Palo Brunch where they had them. :cool1: So, I am really looking forward to that. Also, I may try ordering them from room service. It never hurts to ask.

:cloud9: Bill makes the BEST cheesecake in the world! Personally, I am not a cheesecake eater. But, his I eat. I get one in a couple of weeks for my birthday. Bill always makes me one instead of a birthday cake. He even puts a candle on it.

I like white chocolate too! For my sister's baby shower, I am making a fruit bouquet. In it I am going to have pineapple dipped in white chocolate and then sprinkled with coconut. It is suppose to be like a pina colada.

Even though our cruise is over 5 months (and three vacations) away I am still getting very excited. I love to daydream about the Magic. I love the ship's horn. My cell phone plays WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR. What makes it even more exciting is knowing we will be seeing the ship and Castaway Cay decorated for Christmas.:santa: I also love meeting all our DISfriends. :grouphug:
