She was not very happy with the four of us DIS families in a row right there. She had several very noisy children spread over three cabins in the area, and those noisy children chose to wake the rest of us before 7 AM most mornings. We made our displeasure known in various ways!

I like kids. Well behaved kids. Those kids were not well behaved. Though I don't blame the kids as much as the parents. An outburst every so often is to be expected, but those kids were allowed to just run wild any time they wanted.

I posted this in another thread, but it works for this thread as well as it shows a little about where our heads are:

Due to a mixup with our Travel agent and DCL, we took an inside cabin after refusing an upgrade. NEVER AGAIN will we be in an inside cabin. It was too claustropobic.

Well, did any one else forget to pack anything?
DH forgot his sunglasses and bought new ones at Orlando airport.
I forgot some of my make-up.
I also forgot some of my special Secret Mickey gifts.
Cruise was still great. 379 days until the next one.


BTW, our Asst Server brought us two beverages at a time every night. We never had to order after the first night. We were at a table of four with our friends. They have never cruised on DCL before and keep commenting about how friendly everyone was. From guests to staff. Their last cruise was on Princess to Alaska. They said no one was friendly. They were amazed that everyone they passed would say hello.

Yes, I forgot to back some unmentionables. I usually pack extra, so I had to wash (I had woolite) what I had and hang them up. I was thankful for a female room host.

We had her at brunch. She was very friendly.

That's a great pic! I don't think I ever did see you or your boys either.

I still have to finish unpacking too. I did about 1/2 the laundry, and stopped. Got caught up with the kids and life and everything else. I will play catchup next week since the kids are home from school.

I have done 5 (FIVE) loads of laundry since we've been home! How do just two people have five loads of laundry in a week? And that doesn't count DH's dress shirts and suit that we sent to the dry cleaners! One load was sheets though. And I do wash everything out of the luggage regardless of what state it was in when it went into the luggage. Am I the only one who can't stand that "airplane" smell? Even clean stuff smells yucky to me after a flight.

I joked with Bill too on whether he could work from home there? It was so nice and tropical and believe it or not the normal houses (not the huge mansions) were reasonable priced. We saw some new construction homes starting in the 200's. For paradise, that is a steal. Also, they have all the modern conveniences of the mainland including a K-Mart and Burger King. We got a kick out of that. We went on the Coral World and island tour and people kept shouting out things like "There's a KFC here!" and "There's a Payless Shoe Store". You'd thought we had never seen such things before. It was funny.

Way, way up in the thread I mentioned a song by Terri Clark called Girls Lie Too cause it has a guy doing a great impression of Jack Sparrow. But one of the lines in the song is "And we like Hooters for their hot wings too." Makes me think of Beth now! "You went to Hooters?" "Yes." "By yourself?" "Yes." "What did you order?"

Ohh yeah Beth glad you posted.
When I was filling your stocking the lady across from your room was not to happy about me putting stuff in your stocking. She told her husband, good god how many people are going to put stuff in that stocking. I turned and and said a whole lot.
Everyone else I passed said it was such a neat idea and that they would want to participate next holiday so naturally I said DISboards.com
