0 Days Until We Leave For WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:cool1: We are on our way in a few hours to WDW. :cool1: I am finishing up a few things here and there and then plan to just sleep in the car. I have given up on trying to get to sleep at this point. I have a last load of laundry in the dryer. All of clothes are already packed. But, I need to make sure all the dirty clothes are cleaned. I thoroughly cleaned the house today too. It is so nice to come home to a clean house after being away. But let's not think about coming back home just yet. We are ALL ready to start this vacation! :cool1: Poor Bill has been doing pretty much two jobs the past couple of weeks and needs this vacation.:surfweb: Among other things I am in the midsts of doing at 2 o'clock in the morning, I am trying to get the magnetic tape to stick to our stateroom door signs. The magnetic tape I bought isn't adhering to the paper as well as the one I got last year. So, I had to buy some glue to make it extra sticky. Now, I am waiting for all the signs to dry before I can pack them up with the rest of the cruise items. Still so much to do, so little time. I've had a year to plan for this trip and it still wasn't enough time. :rolleyes1

I won't be online at all this week. Everyone make it safely to port. See you onboard! :woohoo:

Just checked on rebate for three phones I bought last month. They have the info but must verify or something. I was hoping to get the check before we leave. Why do they not just take the money off the price of the phones?

Ugh, I hear you...had $30 on a toaster, mailed it in and got it back bc I didn't include the bar code...still haven't gotten around to cutting up the box and sending it back... :made:

Can someone tell me how to print so the picture I am going to iron on my shirt will be correct? The last time I did this they turned out backward.

Check your program and see if there's a way to "reverse" or "mirror". I just did it in word. Select the pic, go to the draw button (mine's hiding in the lower left, that'd be the default position on my version anyway), select "rotate or flip" horizontal. The writing should appear backwards on the screen and on the sheet after you've printed it. Then when you iron on you flip it over, press the waxy side (you can sort of see it reading properly through the backing paper) and voila, it comes out so you can read it. Hope that helps!! First time I did it too, took a little thought, but not hard. (I couldn't have formed the coherent thoughts had the kids been underfoot though!)

DGS8 has called us 4 times this evening. He sailed with us last Dec. First call he said he really wants to meet us at Disneyland again, then he said he'd really like to go on the cruise again and see the pirate ship. We have not told him we are sailing again. :confused3 Dennis wondered if he sensed it is the same time of year. Or maybe his parents said something about us going. :confused3 They live in Lancaster, CA. This is the first time he has gotten hold of his Daddy's phone and called us on his own. :goodvibes  We miss him. :sad1:

That's very sweet.

I wonder where Beth is right now? I have never traveled on a train but we do have one that runs in front of our house once a day and it is very loud. Is it loud when you are in the train?
:cool1: We are one day closer!:cool1:

I haven't travelled by train in years but I did a lot in university. I keep trying to talk dh into it, I think the kids would love it. My grandfather was an engineer and my uncles worked on the trains for years too. I can take the kids for a few hour trip to a nearby town for fun, maybe in the summer...if we were doing serious travel I'd book a sleeper just to have a place where we could have some privacy.

Yes, congrats! And a 500 too! :cool1:

Oh, I wonder if you're gone...it's still only...4:30 in Tx? Have a great trip, safe journey! I keep wondering if I'm going to be looking sideways at the family with the three kids outside the Astronaut Hall of Fame on Thursday!
:wave2:

Early to bed last night, early up to get some stuff done...kids are still asleep at 7:30, amazing. :rolleyes1

Good morning all!

More and more of us are already on the way to the fun.

I can't believe we'll be in Fl this time next week. I'll be rushing everyone to get up and in the car so we can get to the fun really early. Is it 10 that they will let us on?

Off to DS parade. Then back home to pack for out of town this weekend. I plan on making my signs while we are gone. I am sure I will forget something.

I was emailed this this morning and had to share it. I hope it does not offend.

The email was entitled:

THE QUESTION FINALLY ANSWERED
And the email said simply: "Why yes, yes it does!"

I believe the terminal opens at 10 or 10:30. Boarding "officially" does not start until 1pm, but any DCL traveler will tell you that they almost ALWAYS start boarding between 11:45 and Noon :thumbsup2

I think inside out :confused3

Brack knows... He should come around shortly his alarm should be beeping

:hourglass

According to the iron on transfers that I have, "Wilton Easy Image" they are for light fabrics, and they need to be mirrored. So that means they transfer right onto the fabric.

Yes, I was worried it would "show" as a white field or something. You can sort of see some shiny-ness around the image for the size of the whole iron-on, but there's no colour transfer other than the printer ink. You can trim it as close as you like also.

It's snowing here, had my "traction control system" on my Honda kick in for the first time this season. (I love my Honda.) And so now I really get our money's worth in booking a winter vacation...I'll be washing and folding shorts and swimwear while looking out at the snow. Knowing I am LEAVING it in a few days for a far, far better place. :cool1: Spent a few lovely minutes this morning surfing weather websites looking at the forecast for next week in Fl and the Caribbean. It may rain, folks, but it's NOT going to snow. :dance3:

Reminder:

Remember to call your credit card company's, including your bank with your debit card, and let them know you will be traveling - including going out of the country - so they do not shut your account off and you have to pay ship to shore phone charges to get it turned back on.

It really really helps!

We did this a week or so ago--I was surprised that they wanted our itinerary, practically. Not enough to say "we're going to the US and then the Caribbean", they wanted to know which islands! Maybe she was just jealous and wanted the details. ;)

I'll be at WDW having too much fun to DIS next week also. We leave for the aiport in about 3 hours. DrHug and I were both too excited to sleep! :yay: :dance3: We woke up before 6 am, which is early for me, but unheard of for him!

Exactly, open the terminal at 10-10:30, board at 11:45. I think a little after 12 is the latest we have ever started boarding. We will see you there!!

Oh thank you! I do need to call one of ours. We talked about that last night. Our Disney card is so used to us using it at WDW and DCL that they will not even blink, but our Mastercard will wonder what the heck!!

We need a will too. I won't be able to sleep tonight thinking DH brother might fight to get our kids. I thought about letting DD(18) get them if she wants. I don't think DS and DD could make it with out big DD if something happened to myself and DH. But then she is only 18. We have husbands best friend who we supported during the last six years of his medical education. He is stable but has three of his own and two neices already.

I am on my third will! I had one before I married DH for my 2 older DS's. Then DH and I had them written after DD was born, and then a new one after DS was born. As of now my in-laws get the kids, and if they aren't around my best friend. BIL wasn't happy about that, but he isn't married, doesn't want to be, and never wants kids. So why should I give him mine :confused3 . Since eldest DS is 24, there is a good chance we will update it again, at least maybe when he decides to marry his gf :). I would trust the 2 of them over anyone to raise my little ones.

A week from right now..... We will be joining the Life Boat Drill :dance3:

My DS lived in Lancaster for 1 year, until he moved into his own house in Rosamond. I am hoping to go visit him and Disneyland next year!

We did the Auto train on a trip home. We were driving with MIL, the trip down was so much fun, she didnt want to repeat it :rotfl2: . I really didn't like it.

Yep, I told our little Aaron that we plan to see him at DL in May. :thumbsup2 He was happy to hear that, wanted to make sure we would be there on a weekend so he can go. :woohoo:

Ok, I am all caught up. I played JAP (Jewish American Princess) today :lmao: . I went to the salon to get my hair done. Trimmed and layered (I so rarely do this). I then went to the nail salon and got gels. My mil and a friend suggested this. They should last 3-4 weeks before they need touchups! I hope they can survive 24 hours of me unpacking freight this week!!

Well I have to go get dressed! We have DH's company party tonite (hair and nails), I have to figure out which dress to wear. I also have to get the kids packed for the overnite at GM's house!

Catch you guys tomorrow!!
