Yes, it is a pain.. I hate only knowing an hour before if I work or not for that day.. I also have to make appointments like DR, Dentist, etc Around my weekly changing schedule

:sad2:

That would drive me nuts! I do retail part time too, but I have a set schedule every week. If it changes its because I call out because of one of the kids. They have been very flexible, and I don't work when the kids are home. So when hours get cut, I am the first of the hit list of the day shift, since I don't work weekends..or holidays..or black Friday. But..it keeps me busy a few days a week. I would prefer an office job, but they aren't as flexible with my kids schedules.

last cruise DS (age 9 then) got to be in the "hot seat" I am trying to remember if he got a pin - I know he got a crystal that was really cool and he gave it to my husband (who was allowed to go up with him). it was a great experience and they both loved it!

Thanks for the brining info. I think I will just use the reservations. Now what will I do with the turkey?:confused3

:lmao: :lmao: If it is still frozen you could have it at Christmas or New Years. I got another free turkey today so I will cook it New Years. Will just be DrHug, DGS and I most likely so we will have LOTS of leftovers for sandwiches.

Goodnight all who went to bed...

DS has a half day at his High School but his Vocational School does not.. BUT, he did inform me.. the Vocts class is having a Party so he doesn't mind going.. ;)

44.. don't forget me ;)

:rotfl2:

I hope you get some kind of help in the Kitchen.. That's alot of people..

Oh yeah, 44 or 45 if you bring your son! ;) No help in the kitchen for cooking. I have a very small kitchen. My BIL does come in there to carve the turkey for me at the last minute. Otherwise, I cook it, dish it up and hand it to helpers who take it to the tables. My helpers do set the tables for me also. That is a huge help! :thumbsup2

...Okay, that was a tough one...surrounded by my loving family...while I'm trying to use the laptop! Now they're saying "what do you mean you got a pirate??" :yay:

:lmao: :rotfl: There is no way to explain the fun of the chase to anyone who has not participated. DGS just ....:sad2: at me. :lmao:

watching nightline about traveling during the holidays - glad we are coming in several days early for the cruise - this stuff scares me - but not enough to drive the trip again as we have before!

Yea well 43 table settings is alot.. I hope you have a dishwasher at least.. Although you may need to run in several times before all the dishes get done..

Long ago.. we would all bring a Dish and have like a Pot Luck thanksgiving.. It was alot of fun.. But never with 43 people.. :scared:

My Mom lives not too far from Potomic Mills, about ten/fifteen minutes south of it. When I lived with them, my short time in Virginia, I use to love browsing IKEA. A couple of years ago, they built one not too far from us in Frisco, Texas. You would have thought the Pope was in town that opening weekend. It was a madhouse!:scared: There was such a hype about the opening. When we were driving to San Antonio last time, we noticed they built a new IKEA in Austin right off I-35. They are sprouting up everywhere. My first encounter with an IKEA was in Belgium. So, Wendy is probably familiar with them over there too. I am very proud of my 50 cent IKEA drinking glasses. They had great sales the first weekend they opened. The Swedish meatballs it the cafeteria are yummy too. popcorn:: :cool1:

Same thing here in Portland with the hype. :sad2:  We still have not been there. It is out by the airport, maybe we will make a point to go early to the hotel the night before we fly to WDW and check it out.

OOPS, DrHug just drove up and caught me DISing instead of working. :rolleyes1

We always try and fly the day before a cruise and the day after so any unforeseen problems may get avoided

I just got an Email, with this as the signature line..

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year,

please include the following:
A Recovering American soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

Check Snopes. We got something on that at work (I work for the VA) saying they could not deliver such mail or something. Did not pay alot of attention, but check on it.

DH and I are flying in the morning of the cruise. Our flight leaves at 7:40am. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and our early flight will get us there in time. Anyone else flying in on Saturday?

Just found my docs sitting on the porch in the rain.:woohoo: Was home all day but didn't hear the UPS guy.:confused3

Well I am about half way finished with my scrapbook for the cruise.. I'm kinda stumped for some ideas to decorate it..

Did you know that ALL the Disney Characters use like the same Basic colors on there clothes.. :confused3 Makes it kinda bland to see every page in red, white, yellow, black, green, blue, and LIME green for goofy's hat :thumbsup2

I'm trying so hard to make it look Pretty :guilty:

Oh Noes... :guilty:

Thank You, I will look into it

I've been trying to get my kids excited about the clubs so dh and I can have some time without feeling guilty! I am considering moving dd into the 5-7 group (she'll be 4y10mo at that point), but I don't want to move ds. I think he'd be more likely to be comfortable as an older kid in the group rather than a younger kid. As for the activities, they're ALL new to my kids, so I wouldn't expect boredom to be an issue.

I'll pm you...

All kids are different and you will find what they enjoy once on the ship. Our DGS7 went with us last Dec and he loved the club during free time, but did not care for the organized events very much. Other kids that were in our DIS group loved the orgainized fun. They just each have to find their place.
