I like the "500 mile rule" and was planning on using it this cruise. As soon as we booked this cruise, I found out a lady I go to church with is coming with us. I guess no bathing suit for me. Maybe she could just let me know when she is not going to be around the pool and I could sneak in a swim.

I went to a clam bake several years ago with a group of friends. The theme was a Hawaiian Luau. Yes, they convinced me to wear a grass skirt (over my bathing suit). As I walked along the edge of the pool, I ran into my boss, who takes pictures EVERYWHERE. On the next Monday morning, there was the picture of me, grass skirt, bathing suit and all, attached to my computer monitor--and the monitor of each of my coworkers. I thought about quitting my job and just going home, but I couldn't figure out how to afford things like rent and food, so I stuck it out. He still reminds me of it once in a while!

And now for a funny story...

The copy machine repairman was just here in the office. I commented on his great tan (this guy is another shockingly pale person) and asked where he had been. He just came back from his third Disney Cruise (Eastern) and was trying to convince me that I should try it! Well, we had quite a chat! My secretary was doing this the whole time. She just doesn't get it.

I haven't been online the past few days because DS2 has been Since he got his flu mist last Wednesday, he's been coughing and warm. He is getting better. But, still not 100%. I am glad he is sick now and not in two weeks. I know that DCL can deny someone from boarding if they look sick. So, we are pumping him full of medicine and keeping him from others. He should be completely better by Thanksgiving.

I am going today to get my weekly B12 shot AND then get a flu shot. I don't want to be the sick one waving to my family from the dock.

Beginning the 24th of November they have a newly designed Lanyard and Pin for Castaway Club Members I just got off the phone with the agent this minute.

Bill mentioned to me that he told y'all I have already pulled out the luggage. Yes it's true. I am getting into vacation preparation mode. Being responsible for the packing of five people takes come organization and coordination. I have pulled the bathing suits out to be rewashed and have gathered all the swimming equipment (snorkel gear and floaties for the kids). I am so thankful Bill was able to get us into a DVC property. I plan to use that washer and dryer. Which will help save room. So, I only have to pack for one week and then our formal gear separate. Otherwise, we'd have to pack for TWO weeks. I don't think we have enough bags for that! I change DS2's clothing at least three times a day!

I am so sorry to hear your son is sick. I hope is 100% very soon. DD(4) had the shot and 12 hours later a 104 temp for a day. I was really worried. DS(7) did not get the shot because he had MRSA. He is over the MRSA but I am not sure I am going to get the flu shot for him.

I was bummed when I heard they weren't giving out the lanyards to CC Members anymore. I am sure those that have cruised with DCL numerous times, will appreciate the new lanyards too.

If possible, Stacy could I still have one of the old ones. Thanks!

Where are the 2009 sailing dates. Does DCL always go somewhere different over summer?
