I wrote a training program for servers about 15 years ago and it TOTALLY ruined me!! I know exactly what they're supposed to be doing!

Well, today we tried a new place for brunch...it was loud and the booth was small, which put me in a bad mood to start. Service was waaaay slower than it should've been, given the (simple) menu and lack of crowd...food was ok, but not hot, just warm, and we had to stalk her to get more coffee...ok, bad enough. And the tip reflected it...But we were driving away and she's out of the restaurant chasing us. "You didn't leave the signed copy of the credit receipt!" Yes, I did, I just took my copy. So I'm standing outside the van (in the freezing cold), searching my purse....I follow her back in and she rushes back, I found it, it was on the floor... So, as far as everyone who witnessed that goes, we tried to stiff her and she had to chase us for the payment!! We won't be going back. :sad2:

We just came back from dinner..there were 10 of us. 8 adults and 2 kids. We went to a Tex-mex place about 1/2 hour away. We go about once a year..and we were discussing how with all the times we go, it is always consistently good. Good service, food, and the value is exceptional. 9 adult entrees, 1 kid entree, 4 beverages, 4 appetizers...with 18% tip included it came out to be just under 150.00!! You can't beat that...especially in NJ. And everything is fresh and homemade..including the unlimited hot and fresh tortilla chips and salsa!

When DD, now 35, was pregnant with both of her children she was determined they would be boys (they were  ). She said she would never, ever have a 14 year old girl in her house! :lmao: At least I knew she had an idea of what we went through! :)

Even though my Mother & I still don't get along very well.. or for very long.. Hence why she is staying 6 floors Below me in September on the DCL Double Dipper, ;) I DID tell her once and only once on Mother's Day how sorry I was that she had to deal with me through the years..

She cried :sad1:

DW called and she is coming home tomorrow night instead of Tuesday :woohoo:

This will probably be her ....

Okay - I've been away from this board all weekend and have decided there's no way I can really catch up with everything. I hope it isn't against some DISboard rule to just jump back in where we are :rotfl2:

Less than 3 weeks - I can hardly believe it! :woohoo:

Well at least with the Red hair, there was No reason for a Wig ;)

I wasn't wearing the fishy costume! Actually, she did have a huge red wig, it was awful--couldn't keep it on, I had so many pins in it! Every now and again she finds it...I keep trying to hide it.

My best friend from HS was heck on wheels for her poor mom...now she has three teen daughters. :scared1: I keep saying, what goes around, comes around!

Oh well pffft :snooty: La De Da with your fancy smancy phone..

My is a call in call out text in text out phone.. that's it.. No web, No email, nothing fancy.. ok well, it DOES have a camera :rolleyes1

Mine does not even have a camera! It is really, really old but I like it.
And Yes, we would put our cells on a list.

No idea. He said the reason they gave no the cruise was there was already "so much going on." :confused3 This is just one guy saying this though, so who knows. He also said they didn't rule out pin cruises in the future, but it didn't sound like they were definitely saying they're doing them again either. It's on the main board with the subject title "Pin cruise."

Have you been to the Pin events in the Parks? :confused3 We went to a few and always spend way too much money :rolleyes1

Heading for the goal

We've been to the big pin event at EPCOT the past two years. With the "free" pins and $30 in gift cards per person, the $90 entry doesn't seem too bad. It is lots of fun and we met some great people. You do end up standing in line most of the time to trade on the boards, though. Of course, there's plenty of pin trading that goes on while standing in line. In fact, that's our favorite part!

We really liked DLP and are glad we had the opportunity to see it. Paris on the other hand was a "take it or leave it" for me. :confused3

I was completely the same way about Paris. I'm glad I went, glad I saw what was there, but I'm not making a beeline to get back. We did DLP one day and that was nice. Then we went over to all the Normandy D-Day beaches and spent a few days there. I would go back to France in a heartbeat, but skip Paris. Once we were out of Paris, we met nothing but wonderful people and had a great time.

Nope, never been to a pin event either. :rolleyes1 I thought at one time I'd get into it, but I just didn't.
