I think I get what the "double dip" is, but why would someone choose to do a cruise this way? Especially a 3 then 4 nighter?

My Double Dip?

It is a 7 night Western Caribbean.. 2 stops at Castaway.. instead of 1 to Key West

Ok, so I have a question. Robby and I are driving down to Disney Thursday night before the cruise. Unless something unforseen happens or we hit a huge amount of traffic somewhere, we should arrive to Disney around 9:00am. What we were thinking of doing is going and spending the morning/early afternoon at DTD and have lunch and then drive over to the port that afternoon and checkin. Here's my question: does anyone know of a reason to get to the port earlier??? :confused3 We are staying at the Country Inn and Suites and taking the shuttle over to the port in the morning. Does anyone know if when you check in there if there are slots that you sign up for on the shuttle and if you get there later you get a later shuttle?? Or is it whoever shows up first the morning of the cruise gets on the first shuttle?? Anyone confused yet? Thanks!!!!!

The person to ask would be Shirley, Snelson.

CC, hmmm...it was beautiful...but I don't like beaches. It was so so hot in August with the kids, and well. I am willing to give it a second chance in a few weeks. Hopefully the adult beach will be fun :).

We are staying at Animal Kingdom the two nights before the cruise. Do you think it would be really bad if I don't take the kids to the parks? We are driving over to watch the shuttle launch and it will take all of Thursday. Then, maybe we could hangout at the hotel and DTD?

Oh no, now I think I am the one talking to myself. Well, if no one is listening, I am going to use my southern accent.:rotfl:

Ok... you guys have really made me hungry. Now I'm thinking I might have to make a McD's run.popcorn::

Ever dined at the Whispering Canyon Cafe?

I have been twice, we went both times we have traveled to WDW and the boys had a blast both times... but we had a horrible waiter the second time we went.. but then again we had a horrible waiter at every restaurant we went to in February...:confused3

Let them do the activities they have at AK and just animal watch... :thumbsup2

I have been trying to be good before the cruise. I haven't had a sneaky snack in one week.:sad2: All this talk isn't helping. Oh yeah, I don't have anything to eat except boxes of oranges. I will not go out for fear of too many drunken Bulldog fans.
