I wonder what will happen when the New ships come out?
Can you boost your date to them? Or does it have to be the same ship?

You should be able to. However, the incentive is based upon what is being offered at the time on that ship. So if you move to a longer or shorter cruise your onboard credit may increase or decrease. And it could be that if you move to the new ship that the credit and or discount drops significantly.

But I'll also be trying to get on one of the new ships ASAP!!

On hold with DVC now just in case. Can you pay some of it with cash and some of it with points?

Yes I paid for myself with points and Jasmine with cash.

Also, according to the dvcmembers.com website the only cats sold out are 6 and 7 (cat 3 shows limited availability), and there's a 45 min wait on hold. Once they answer, it still takes about 30 minutes to make the booking as they get all the info, then call DCL and get back to you. When you get through, be sure to give them your call back number in case you are disconnected!
