Well, we do have September 08 already booked, along with His Parents, His Niece, His Friend & his family, My Mother, His Aunt, and His friend's friend & Girlfriend.. We have a Connecting cabin 4 with his parents and niece.. His friend is down the hall 7 rooms away.. We have a 11 and a 9 all booked..

We along with 99% of the Dis' Boards are waiting for the 2009 dates to be available.. before we book another..

If the 2009 dates aren't out you can book a "dummy date" to get the discount and OBC then move it when the 2009 dates are released. That is what we will do if they don't release the early 2009 dates in the next 3 weeks!

Heck, when you get up in the morning the best thing to do before you leave your resort is to call guest services and ask them when and where the character you want will be out!!! That's how we found Genie and it turned out we got a picture with Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie, but Jafar wouldn't pose with them because he is EVIL!!!! But the fact still remains that all 4 of them were out in the MK not to far from Aladdin's Flying Carpet!!

Finally got back in. The board kept crashing on me, so I rebooted, did some laundy: and now it seems to be back to normal.

If we did add ours together as a team we would be WAY ahead

Latest word on the boards is that the itineraries will be announced the first 2 weeks of December. Be sure to book a dummy date, because you can always move it later. That was my mistake in 2006. They were talking about the Med for 2007 when I was onboard. A month after I got home, they confirmed they were going to Europe (as was I), but of course it was too late to get the rebooking discount.

Our date is the first cruise in January 2009 (not sure the exact date because they aren't announced yet). We have a lot of nonDIS friends going with us .... including our adopted grand daughter Kimberly.

I'm hoping the Geeks pick the 2nd or 3rd week because the rates usually drop for a couple of weeks late in Jan also. More $$ for more cruises!

YAY!!!! I have a friend!!!! I'm the same way!!! I've never had a kid but that's never stopped me from waiting in line for who knows how long to get a picture/autograph. Heck, I even ran with Robby from Morocco to China in Epcot in under 5 minutes because Jasmine said that Mulan would be over there for 5 more minutes!!!! Robby was tired. And that was even stopping to get a couple pictures of the living statue!

Well.. I have a child.. and still don't get to wait in line for Characters.. ok, well he IS 17 now but he won't be on this cruise with us, due to School... But he Graduates HS in June and will be with us in September 08..

Colleges really don't care if you show up or not, as long as the work is done, on time, and you Pay them.. so we aren't worried for next year..

Wow.. I feel so Old.. My son will be Graduating

Oh.. I didn't know a "dummy date" could be moved a whole year.. Thank You.. I thought they had to be set for year in the same year they are booked..

Nope, when I asked the onboard booking agent about this last June, she said that as far as she knew the date could be moved as many times as necessary. She said there were some folks on last summer's cruise who had originally booked in 2003!

WoW!! That is VERY good to know...
I wonder what will happen when the New ships come out?
Can you boost your date to them? Or does it have to be the same ship?
