Ok, so now I will be waiting Impatiently for the Fed Ex or UPS man to come by :sad2: I have to fill out the forms by hand since the DCL Website eill only let me use a Florida address since we got the discount..

Guess there is No hope for an upgrade at all now.. May as well not even bother to look on DCL anymore..

Oh well... Cat 8 is one we've never tried so it will be a New experience for us..

And can you feel the love tonight
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it's laid to rest
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best

Wow, my wedding song :).

I just had a thought.... (shh, no comments from the peanut gallery!)...

I finally went ahead and ordered the Crocs online that I'd been talking about a couple weeks back. I was looking at the tracking information and they're actually due to show up tomorrow via UPS. So I'm gonna have double UPS goodness for the next couple days. Provided that the docs show up too. We need a smiley who crosses his fingers for good luck.

No kidding... I didn't realize till yesterday that Thanksgiving is next week. I'm blaming it on the fact that we have no plans though. :)

It just seems so early this year....and I have BIG plans! I think because Nov 1 was on a Thurs it makes the 4th Thurs earlier in the month. I am used to TG being like 26th or 27th.

Where are you?
I was in Atlantic City

Um, I wasn't panicking until I saw how far ahead of me you are!! You've got it under control there, I think. :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm embarrassed...I just remembered, the one with the flamingos is called...the Flamingo. You probably knew that too and were just being nice.
Since you're embarassed anyway--the Flamingo Hilton is in Las Vegas, not Atlantic City.;) There is a Flamingo Motel in Atlantic City, but it isn't exactly the kind of place that any of us would want to stay, I think, and, as far as I can tell, they don't have any flamingos, even on their signs!

Ok so... Tell me what you think... Anyone feel free to chime in when you read this...

I have a notebook type scrapbook.. It was part of a gift basket I won and never used it.. It looks similar to a sketch pad but with a Spiral wire to hold the pages together.. Acid free and all..

Ok.. If I were to decorate it all Dis and DCL and Disney themed.. and bring it on the ship.. It's not that heavy and can be packed in my suitcase without being ruined..

I was thinking of using it for Autographs.. which I haven't done since DS was like 9 years old and interested in Characters..

Plus... have all the Dis members who are willing to sign it for me.. sign.. and I take Pictures of them and add them to the book when I get home... Kinda like a HS Yearbook..

Or.. am I being too corny? :confused3
I think it's cute!

Now that everyone knows I have blindingly-pasty skin, I have a related question--does every WOMAN (I will not say everyONE b/c some smart-a$$ will start talking about cross-dressing ;) ) wear hose? I have a long dress for formal night with open-toed sandals, and I'd really love not to wear panty hose. Same for my below-the-knee and knee-length dressy dresses... :confused3

And in general, no shorts at dinner? Not even the first night? I don't do capris, they look awful on me; I do have a couple of pairs of bermuda-ish ones that are within a couple of inches of capris, just not "in spirit". Kids too? Ds' shorts are all nice khaki sorts, not knit "gym" shorts.

I know we can always go to Topsiders or one of the quick-service places, and we may if there's no "special" reason to get dressed up. It just sounds like work, to make sure everyone's changed by 5:30 or so, when the sun's still out and it's the Caribbean...
I'm yet another painfully pale person. I usually wear panty hose when I wear a dress, regardless of whether or not I'm on a cruise. I think it's because that's just how I was raised (grew up in the 50's!). I also have very ugly feet, and anything that covers them is good! I would never wear shorts to dinner, either. But that's anywhere, not just while cruising. The only exception to that has been when I've been at WDW and gone directly to eat from one of the parks.

OK, I think that's as caught up as I can get. I'm home, and back to the wonders of high-speed internet access! It's amazing how spoiled I've become. When I got my first computer (probably before some of you were born!), I had a 300 baud modem and it was great. Then I got a 1200 baud modem and I was really living. Now I can't live without high-speed access, and wireless access is even better!

I got my Magical Express stuff for the trip home after my vacation, but, as far as I can tell, no cruise documents. They may have come, however, and be put away somewhere. I've got the online ones all filled out, though, and just need to print and sign them.

I'm glad to hear that it finally rained in Georgia. I know the situation was becoming desperate! It's raining here now, too, and it's gotten really chilly.

OK, I'll be back later. I'm going to unpack my stuff, do my laundry, and take a nap. The convention was great, but it was really exhausting!

By the way, congrats on all the pirate:s since I've been gone! You will all notice that I am still without any!

Beth

Several times I have been overly cold.. and I am very Warmed body.. In September, I wasn't cold at all.. so Maybe they have the tempertures set now.. :confused3

I have a couple of wraps and a sweater in reserve, and a couple of sweaters for dd. Oh, how cute would a baby-evening-wrap be...I may have to work on that. princess: ("Mo-om, I am NOT a baby!":snooty: )

Congrats Stefanie!!

Wish me luck. :goodvibes Off to get DD6 and get her flu shot - not mist here as shot is free. :thumbsup2 If I'm not on later:surfweb: it's the reason, DD6 is a BIG baby when it comes to shots :headache: - wears me out for hours.:sad2: Finally got her well enough to get it (just 2 round of antibiotics in past 1 1/2 months) so hopefully she's OK for next two weeks so it can kick in before cruise.

Hope she did ok, for everyone's sake! ;) Me, I chickened out...

:yay: :yay: Doin' the DOC DANCE :woohoo: :woohoo:

Went to the grocery and came home to find my Docs at the door :thumbsup2

It's getting closer! :cheer2:

:woohoo: So you are the first to lay hands on them...:cool1:

:shamrock:

I made myself laugh just now...I had my crocs on on the elliptical and I'm jonesing to get off and join the pirate hunt...that's when I noticed my crocs are well, this colour! :rotfl: I kicked ds off the "Transformers" website (he did his homework and earned his half-hour) to check the count, saw I'd missed it anyway, so finished up the km. Anyway, my crocs are actually "mock-crocs" (or knock-off-crocs?), but I may have to go to the Disney store and see if they have a Mickey head jibbetz to complete the look. ::MickeyMo

I bought a big honking stocking a while back and am wondering if I need to adjust it...it has the typical stocking loop, for hanging on the mantle, so that it would hang...you know, crooked, from one side. Will this loop fit over the fish extender? Or should I re-sew it/add some fabric ribbon or something so it goes from side to side at the top? Not sure what I'm working with here...:confused3

Women still wear pantyhose? I don't notice that much here in FL. Too hot and sticky! I'm sure those that do more formal dining, dinner parties and such probably do wear them - I don't find a need to, and the guy at McDonald's doesn't seem to notice :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I'm with you. I don't wear pantyhose. I can't stand them. Hot, sweaty, and binding!!

Like everyone else, I can't WAIT to get my docs!!! I received some yesterday for my post-cruise stay at the CR, but now I'm waiting on the cruise docs!!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

The regular loop on our store bought stocking worked last year:thumbsup2

I'm with Beth. From the generation that always wore/wears nylons. I have gotten so that I can wear sun dresses without them though. But to "dress up" I've gotta have them! :snooty: :upsidedow Mine are super firm support, suck you in ones. :sad2: DrHug refers to them as innertube nylons. Now some of you kids might not even relate to that. Do tires have innertubes now days? You never see anyone taking out the innertube and patching it. :confused3

Yes you do! Because each one is very important. We need to know if you are going to be joining the Thong Boys. :lmao:

Even without going back to read all of the posts that I have missed in the last couple of days I can emphatically answer that one .....

NO!
