More good news! I just checked the radar and we have rain at our cabin too! There is a forest fire near our cabin that was still burning as of this morning. It was supposed to be put out last Saturday morning. Nothing like the California fires, I think it has burned just over 1000 acres of mostly National Forest. Still, not something I was expecting in the N GA MTNS.
Wow, we just had lightning and thunder! I can't remember the last time I heard thunder.

My DD just left to be the DD for her friends who had a little too much. I don't like her leaving this late but I don't like the thought of those kids not having a way home. We have poor cab service, it is kind of like a bus. You get on and ride around as they drop others off first.

That is one thing I worry about with DS.. I'm Not stupid, I know him and his friends ocassionaly drink.. I always tell him, do not drive and do not get in the car with a drinker.. If you feel more comfortable then Mom picking you up.. Take a cab and I will pay for it..

I was so ready to go to bed when DD's friend called and asked her to be his DD. Now I will have to wait on her to get back, it is late, dark and RAINY! And she is driving his older car, not sure why. She doesn't seem to care that I bought her a car last year with every known safety feature. Kids.

Then one girl ends up by herself and you have to walk through a pretty bad section of town to get back to the dorms.

Calling my DD now to make sure she is ok.
