pirate:Hey!! That's the second one for me! And I thought I missed it because my phone rang! I really was going back to work!

Beth

My sister was 8 when I moved out. The first thing she said was "Can I have your old room?" the second thing she said was "Can I move in with you?":rotfl:

She did get my old room. She did not move in with me!

Beth

My little brother keeps telling everyone that i am going to have a baby at my wedding and that he will play gameboy with it. Im not even pregnant!!!!
My 19 year old sister was very excited to get my old room, I think she moved in within minutes!

Congrats on the pirate and travel safely if I don't get a chance to wish you well later. I think the camping will be fun. I want to hear all about it, like are there alligators?
We used to camp there years ago, and there were occasional crocodiles or snakes, but they were always "relocated" almost immediately. I plan on taking tons of pictures which will all be on my computer for anyone who wants to see them!

I really like camping--I really DON'T like tent camping, but it's Fort Wilderness, so that makes it all better.

We're not actually leaving until mid-morning on Friday, so I'll be around a lot during the day tomorrow!

We went tent camping for the first time in May. I loved it. We went to Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta. It was so fun. We only stayed one night.

I wanted to get a pop up camper but were told by friends to get a regular camper. That progressed into buying the cabin. So now we will never get to go camping because we have to go to the cabin. It does have heat, running water and a big television ( no dish, the guy said we would have to cut trees and I said no way!).

How are you getting the tent to the campground. You may have already told me this but I am really not with it today. Too much pressure to get too much finished.

My DD(19) has the best room in our house, I want her room when she moves out.:rotfl:

We arrive in Florida on Dec 7, at 10:00am. Good ole TED moved our flight up from leaving Chicago at 8:00am to 6:30am! I hate getting up at 3:00 am even to go on vacation. We are staying at the airport Hyatt. Hopefully it will be warm and sunny and we can relax at the pool all day.
Who else is staying at the Hyatt that night?

I had a good day with Cars today at Target. Picked up a Fred, Dinoco Helicopter, PC Fillmore, PC Doc and the Dinoco Helicopter. I also got a Rusty and Dusty yesterday.

We leave here at noon on the 5th, and get into MCO around 6pm. :cool1:

Is anyone else going to the Merry Mixer on the 6th?

We hope to make it to the Merry Mixer! It was a lot of fun and we got to see several old friends from previous cruises. I know at least 2 of them will be there again this year. :grouphug:
Tree up! Now change :laundy: and bathroom. I really hate doing the bathroom, at least we are only using one at the present time because of the renovations. I don't think we will mind the tiny one on the ship because the one we are using is the same size.:sad2:

Good idea! Cruise bathroom practice! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Oh we LOVED Stone Mountain Park! We visited there last year and put it on our Definate List of places we need to go back to and spend more time! I also love to tent camp, but with the purchase of the motorhome this year we will not likely be doing that again either. However, neither Dennis nor I are quite ready to get rid of our tent camping equipment yet. ;)

We just moved our room downstairs to what has been one of the kid's room over the past 18 years. :upsidedow

We started our camping career with a tent back in 1978 so that we could stay at Fort Wilderness. We rented a pop up camper a couple of times, and decided to buy one, but found a 17' travel trailer for the same price and bought that instead. Then we upgraded to a 40' mobile home in a condo in Maryland. DS said that he really didn't like camping at WDW, it wasn't any fun! Then life changed, I got sick and was on disability for a while, and we didn't vacation anywhere for 15 years.

Now, fast forward to last June--DS suddenly "remembered" how much fun he had camping at Fort Wilderness, and wouldn't it be fun to do it again now that his daughter is the age he was when it was so much fun? So...we'll be there Saturday.

Our tent and the rest of our camping gear arrived yesterday at Fort Wilderness via Fed Ex. All we have to carry with us is our luggage. It should be an easy trip! We've got two laptop computers with DVD players, so we can watch movies and play games for the 23 hour trip.

OK, I'm back for a minute. I just printed all my cruise docs. I couldn't get it to accept the credit card I want to use because the expiration date is too far in the future!:confused3 I'll have to change that when I check in.

I see that Magic is tendering in St. Thomas today. Does it alternate by visits? If they tender this week, do they dock the next time?

OK, back to the real world once again, and the crisis of the moment!

Beth

We took three of the boys for haircuts last night... including little Ryan. He sat on my lap, I asked if he wanted to sit like a big boy and he said "No, LAP!". He did really good, and look out ladies, he's quite handsome now! His hair grows like weeds, he's not quite two and this was his 6th haircut. We had to take him in before he was 1 because it was getting into his eyes all the time. :)

Aww. That's so cute! Well, it's cute now. If he tries it when he's 16, maybe not so much.

Dear friend just told me about a site where I can post all the stuff I want to get rid of and people will come pick it up from my house. Now to post the junk.

I've heard of freecycle.com... I've never used it though.

craigslist is the best! But i always want to get the poor unwanted animals...and df wont let me have anymore pets in out appartment.

When we moved last spring, I listed a bunch of stuff for free on craigslist. As in... I don't want to move it, come pick it up and it's yours. Two window AC units, an Ikea bookshelf that was only a year old, one of those hardshell clam car luggage roof things (they sell for around $250) and a few other things. I had calls about all of them... made appointments, sat around waiting for people... the only one to show up was the guy for the AC units. People are always complaining about the "flakes" on craigslist and these people were definitely them! All that stuff just went into the trash. :sad2: I hate throwing away good stuff, but the moving guys had already come and gone by that time.

I'm finally feeling much better. I think I've been sick since mid-October. I can actually breathe again! It's amazing! The best part is that I've lost almost 10 pounds with absolutely no effort at all (well, except all the things involved with being sick:sick:) so I'm really ahead of the game now, right?

I feel like I've been stuffy since I had a cold 2 months ago. I just thought I couldn't shake the cold. Well, last night I took a benadryl to help me sleep and by the time I fell asleep, I was clear! So I'm guessing I have some allergy I don't know about.

We have 2 cats. I really want a ferret, but in our 700 sq foot appartment thats all we are allowed to have. Plus it might turn into a zoo here!

Ferrets are still illegal in California :sad2: I think it's just here and one other state that doesn't allow them.

Who else is staying at the Hyatt that night?

We are! We arrive around 6:30pm.

It actually tendered both times it was in St Thomas for November. I'm hoping that means we'll dock in December, but I've been told it's not certain till they release the schedule. Which they don't do until the first of the month. I read somewhere that even though Disney has been going to St Thomas for years, it's still "the baby" in relation to all the other cruise lines going there, and therefore, gets last dibs on docking space. That was just on a message board though, so it has to be taken with a grain of salt.

I forgot about freecycle.com. We got a lot of our curtains from freecycle. We also got a hamster cage and a dog run!

I'm allergic to one of our dogs, the American Eskimo, and only when he sheds. Of course, he sheds all the time because he has a bad skin condition! That's one of the reasons he was a rescue dog. The house he lived in burned down, and the owners couldn't find anyone to take this dog who was, at that time, completely bald on his rump! He doesn't take stress very well! He's a wonderful dog other than the whole baldness thing!

Thanks! It really doesn't make a difference to me, I suppose, I'm just fascinated by how things work! And yes, I often take things apart to see what makes them tick. I can usually put them together again.;)

Aww. Poor thing. We had a cat once that my mother backed into one day. :headache: He had a broken leg and his tail was badly damaged. They tried to save the tail, but it was left being on "sideways" (if that makes any sense) and never would heal properly, so they finally had to amputate it. He was a sorry looking thing, but a great cat. :cloud9:

If I ever manage to talk DH into a dog I'd like to get a miniature schnauzer. I love their temperament...every one I've ever been around has been a great dog. And it doesn't hurt that they don't shed! I'd much rather have a dog groomed every few weeks than have all the shedding. :headache:

Have fun, Beth.
The time we tent camped at Fort Wilderness we saw a cottonmouth moccasin next to our campsite.
Be safe, see you soon.

We had a cat which was partially paralyzed by a stroke when she was 19 years old. She was left blind in one eye and her head was "sideways", so I understand what you're saying! She lived a happy life to the ripe old age of a few days short of 23 years old!

Have fun, Beth.

If Jim sees a snake, you'll hear him screaming all the way up there in Illinois!

I just made reservations for the night of the 15th at Coronado Springs.
We are doing the meal plan as well so i need to make my dining reservations. Its part of the cast member holiday celebration. We get to "try out" the meal plan for a day. Plus its the holiday party that night so Im excited that we dont have to drive home at 2am.

When i ran to Publix i saw Mickey lettuce. I heard Disney was coming out with a line of fruits and veggies, and it was much cuter than i imagined!
