Well, I know a bunch of people that agree with you, and I am one, that both spanx and a thong are articles of clothing. But they are by no means, the "same". One is hardly, if ever, seen and is used underneath clothing. Now then the same can be said for a thong, and if that's the case, it's perfectly fine. But when someone wears one around on a family cruise with children around, nobody wants to see that. That's where someone felt it was inappropriate.

I agree :scared:

I think they're great Wendy, thanks again.

Now, what does "APO" mean? I see it all the time when I am looking at delivery options for outside the US... :confused3

APO is for military addresses. When I send items to my husband even though he is in Iraq - I send them to an APO adress and only have to pay like I am sending in the US and not internationally. Helps with the budget ALOT! Only thing is that it can take longer than normal. And if you want it there fast and have to pay Fed Ex or DHL it is mega bucks - $50 for a flat letter under 1 lb. but through the Post Office using the APO I can send a flat rate box filled with lots of goodies for under $9 and it takes about 1-2 weeks compared to the 5 days for the $50 letter (yes I have had to send something that way!)

It's a military address, APO is Army Post Office and is used for Army and Air Force, FPO is Fleet Post Office and is used for Navy and Marines. So you use either FPO or APO as your city. Then your state is determined by the area of the world you are in. So mine is AE - for Armed Forces Europe. There's also an AP - Armed Forces Pacific, and AA - Armed Forces Americas. Then we have a US zip code also.

So our mail flows between the military who take it to and from the states and the regular US mail system! :goodvibes

and if you will send me a PM note with how many each person ordered and their names I will split them up into baggies with the correct number so it will be easier to pass them out!

Wow that's awesome! I'll be sure to make sure you get the final count. Thanks!!

Got it...when dh (then df) was working at a CFB in Germany (civilian), I sent his letters to a big base in Ontario and used some massively long routing number on it...it was how he got his mail, and it was slow, as you say, but cheaper than international postage. Now if only they could've done that with the phone charges--it was $2 a minute back then!!

We've flip-flopped back and forth on the MVMCP! Finally, last night we decided to go for it. So, I just got our tickets for 11/27 - it will get us in the holiday, Disney mood (like we needed any help!) :lmao:

Gives me something Disney to look forward too while I wait for the cruise :woohoo:

Maybe you should turn the other cheek!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

I think i missed offending comment about the spanx, but what could be so offesive about nylons that slim and shape?
Not to cause trouble, I agree we should be comfortable in our own skin. And amen to spanx for hiding a little celulite.

I really am trying to stay out of this debate, as tempting as it may be! I ordered a few bathing suits from v.s. which turned out to be a bit more relvealing than i would have liked...so i am reserving those to quiet cove, and our french riviera beach trip. Maybe thats what she meant about the thong?

After reading this I started looking for other December cruise threads - figured at least that way we could use December in the wording. Then I started to think about what a hassle that might be to get the lanyards to them and collect the $.

So I went back on the trusty internet and found another company that said they can do 65 for us, at around $4 each. Which would mean we could do cruise specific! He's going to email me the specific costing.

Kewl!! :)

ITA!!!

Did someone already post that Dec 1 cruisers have started gettign their docs? I just saw it on the main board. :cool1:

Fully expecting to be the last to get mine, what with getting them all the way up here (dogsled delivery, you know :rotfl: ) plus we used a TA, so I understand that slows them down--but please share when yours arrive (like people won't! ;) ) so I can get even more frenzied as I wait! :hyper: (And again, I really love that little hyper guy. :hyper:)

DrHug had a very close encounter with a thong in the Rainforest. We were in the hot steam room, which is very tight quarters, he was sweating a bunch and so had his eyes closed. He "felt movement" in front of him and opened his eyes to a completely bare rear end and his nose was almost right in it! He was  and immediately closed his eyes again. I was :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: One of my many funny stories about my love. :rotfl: So just be aware that anyone wearing a thong may become the butt of one of our family jokes! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Edited to say....sorry I just couldn't resist!

That is the funniest thing i have heard all day! I would have screamed!:scared1:
My definition of a "revealing swimsuit" is probably not as skimpy as one would imagine. Im a bit too self conscious for that!
Here in Tampa in the winter there are alot of international vacationers in the winter, thongs are not uncommon at the beaches in winter (not by us locals, we would FReEEEeeze!) When we went to Typhoon Lagoon a few weeks ago, Randy was one of the few men not wearing a speedo.

Lanyard update and Good Night.

I called and tentatively ordered 65 lanyards, but asked them to hold off on production until tomorrow just in case. So if anyone still needs a lanyard please PM me. I will be Emailing the company in the morning, and may not have a chance to go through all the posts.

They will ship them to Krisann, and she'll have them by December 3rd - the same day her hubby gets home!

I'm off to bed. Have a good night everyone!

Wendy

I would be glad to make up inserts for any of the kids on the cruise. Just PM me their Name (or what you want on the Card and character. I will make them double-sided folded card so then if they do have a card they can put it in the middle and if they do not they have something fun on both sides

I run a small printing business so I have the supplies to do it! And since the lanyards are coming to me I can insert the kids ones in for everyone!

You are so sweet, now I wish my kids were coming ...ok...maybe not so much!! :lmao:

You didn't miss an offending comment on Spanx. We played with word..spanx..we got a little risquee with it. A double entendre shall we say, and 1 person got offended. Everyone else was Laughting their butts off :lmao: .

I never saw the original thong post. I am guessing that she said she was going to wear it on the ship. And I gather that another poster said that it was inappropriate on a family cruise.

Wow...not to much going on today. Good I didn't have much to catch up. But I am outta here, DD has an appt, then I will hit the grocery store for a few items, pick her up, go home, do dinner, get them to bed, and ...collapse!! BBL...

Sums it up pretty well. Although the party known as "another poster" has changed back and forth from a few people. :rolleyes1

I am really started to be annoyed with working Retail  I was suppose to get out of work today at 2:30pm.. What time did I get out 4pm:eek: I am so glad my son is able to fend for himself :sad2: Of course on the other hand, if he wasn't.. I would of made sure I left at 2:30pm..

As for the landyards.. I would still like just 1.. IF you really need to get rid of some extras to make the final count at what we need.. Let me know.. I will chip in the difference..

One of our Assistnat Managers at BAB was ran off the road yesterday and into a pole.. Luckily she walked away with only some bruising.. Bad thing, this is her 2nd accident.. and she still hasn't seen the money from her 1st settlement.. :headache:

I was asked to come into work tomorrow at 9am to help with shipment, since my Ast. Manager won't be able to come in now.. Normally she does shipment
