We have played a couple of times. I think you can get a few cards for around $35. It was fun, of course we did not win. (we are lucky in love not with gambling! ) We did see a DISer teen win the BIG one on the 10 night 2004 though and that was tons of fun to watch! She was only 17 and could not win, her parents were renewing their vows right at that moment. Mom had bought her a card KNOWING she would not win. Another DISer ran to get the parents, disrupted the renewal and brought Mom back so they could collect the $5000 plus!

That's quite a story!!

Ok, guys, I've got to leave to pick up ds in half an hour exactly, anyone around for a pirate run yet? Can't leave a 7 yo standing around in freezing rain, now can I??

Which reminds me, I think I've decided to pass on the flu shot, which we were considering really, only b/c of the cruise. (The kids have never had it before, the shot or the flu...) I asked my doc yesterday and she said under 9 yo, if it was their first flu shot, they'd have to get it twice, about a month apart. Last immunization here was before ds started school (dd's next one is coming up, then, I guess), and two shots out of the blue "just" for the cruise, I didn't think I could justify it...Still debating it for dh and me, just to decrease the chance of it coming into the house...

Count me in for 4 lanyards too.... But I would rather have generic so I can wear it next time we cruise..... I mean if we cruise again....yeah right I know we will be booking onboard if they have '09 dates released yet...

I got my flu shot a few weeks ago and passed on the boys getting theirs, sure hope I made the right decision, last year when they got their flu shot they became very ill and it lasted a whole month and the doc wasn't sure if it was from getting the flu shot or not so I decided to wait until next year find out if it was the shot or not.

ok went and bought me a new cell phone yesterday because the one I have will no longer work after the 1st of january and it has wi-fi so I might be DISing more at work..... I did not get the internet included because it was way too much....

Someone upthread asked about DUCT tape. Well I found some HOT PINK duct tape at Wal-mart today. I put it on the OUTSIDE of all of our luggage that we do not carry onto the ship.

In a sea of 5-6,000 bags, it sure makes finding your easier. When most everyone is looking for dark green, or blue or black, we just look for the duct tape stripe. So this cruise it will be THINK PINK!!!

Ick, that'd be pretty convincing to NOT get the shot again! I'm sorry that happened to your little guys! I know it's a YMMV thing, but still, it'd be hard to volunteer for that again!

Someone on the Passporter board told me I could use my web-phone to check in for Southwest; I was all worried about getting access and printing at a hotel. I have reeeeeally resisted using my browser on the phone, but this is a good application! ("Use the force for good..." ) My connection is included, but of course the minutes come out of my total, and it's just better that I forget I can do that!!

we played - had fun - spent too much - will play less and go to spa more this time!

After reading this I started looking for other December cruise threads - figured at least that way we could use December in the wording. Then I started to think about what a hassle that might be to get the lanyards to them and collect the $.

So I went back on the trusty internet and found another company that said they can do 65 for us, at around $4 each. Which would mean we could do cruise specific! He's going to email me the specific costing.

We will still take our 4!

Depending on your plan and the possibility of international roaming while at Castaway Cay, it might be cheaper just to log on the ship's computer and check-in. You can always print once you get to the airport.

OR

If you trust someone back home and they will remember, ask them to check-in for you for free!!!
