Wendy that sounds like fun, the lanyard thing. I'll start a vote for the Christmas one, though, as a souvenier...but either would be great. We are, as you know, 4.

Stefanie I love that little magnet! Now I just have to get the colour jets cleaned on my pritner...:sad2:

If you'd asked that question yesterday we all would've told you that DCL provides lanyards to Castaway Club members upon check-in. Well apparently they stopped that as of 4 November. You can purchase DCL lanyards onboard that have a ziploc pouch to carry the KTTW card. I believe they were $8 last summer.

However I have an idea for another option!

I just checked at lanyardsnow.com and we can buy 3/4 inch cotton lanyards with a swivel hook and vertical plastic KTTW holders for about $3.00 each. This would include a 1 color imprint on the lanyard.

They are sold in units of 100. If anyone is interested in doing the lanyards let me know and I'll be happy to order them, and you can pay me onboard. I was thinking a lime green lanyard with Blue letters. If we use "DIS is How We Do it!!" they will be generic enough for future trips. Or we could do a specific one like "DISing on the Magic, Dec 8 2007"

It looks like there is the option to upload a font for them to use, but I'm not sure if there's an extra cost for that.

Let me know what everyone thinks!!

Wendy

I like this idea. Easy to identify DISers around the ship also. :thumbsup2 I could use 11, and then Granny would not have to fend for herself! ;)

WE are!! We are!! :yay: :yay: May westbound. :woohoo:

We are too! I cannot wait till May! I actually already have my cabin number so I am so excited - it is a cat. 10 but I am ON the ship! I will just have to go somewhere else to see daylight.

Well, I posted this before, are there enough women here to get the private room for High Tea?? I know DH isn't interested in it. I would go though. Ok, if youwant High tea...PM me!! We will do it ladies only, well unless a DH wants to come he can!! So PM me with your ressie number so I only have 1 set of PM's.
Stacey who do we call?? Just teh DCL number??

I called, and DCL says the only do it for dinner...I mentioned that they do it for brunch also. I may try back later.

Count me in for High Tea/Brunch or Dinner (with DH) as I just want to see the Palo. I can't seem to PM anyone but if anyone wants to PM me I should be able to respond. Thanks

We are dreaming of possibly booking a repositioning cruise for 2009 - assuming Disney continues to offer west coast cruises that summer.

I'm having a hard time finding out what kind of cost we are looking at, since the DCL reservation site won't give info for the east or west bound, saying none are available.

Can anyone who's going or looked into booking for 2008 give me a ballpark for the cost of the cruise - probably cat 12 for affordability - for the 4 of us?

we have this saying that you know you live in texas when you run your heater and air conditioner in the same day....:thumbsup2

:lmao: That reminds me of one particular Christmas. One of our many Christmas morning traditions is to have a fire going in the fireplace while we open presents and eat breakfast. Well it was a unusually warm Christmas Day(even for Texas standards) so I was running the A/C so we that it would be cool enough for a fire. :rotfl2: Didn't want to be sitting there sweating our rear ends off...doesn't make one think of a traditional Christmas. :goodvibes A memory that we will always have though.

Good morning!

I am so behind and will never catch up with all the posts. I am proud to say that I am still pirate free after all my posts. Do you think I can stay that way until we sail?

We are CAT 11, standard for us! But we are onboard!:woohoo:

Hmmm...I think we heard a similar statement from a certain Stacy. :rolleyes1 And now look where she is in the standings. The pirate: attraction is just too much to deny. :lmao:

I can't find my info on the canal cruise right now. :scared1: What did I do with it??? Well, DU will be able to help me later. :flower3: So just from memory I think it was close to $2000 each for the 2 of us in a CAT 11. We were able to get booked first morning fairly early. I know the prices kept going up by the hour. :sad2: We are hoping, hoping, hoping to get on one of the repositioning cruises for the new ships. That would be 2010 and 2011, I think. We did send a request to DCL for repositioning on either of these ships and we got a reply "not yet". :lmao:

Good morning Angie! :goodvibes

Good morning, Bill. I can't stay on long this morning. The paint brushes and tiles are calling my name. :sad2: So much work, so little time! I cannot wait to get this place sold, get retired and have about half as much house to take care of.....and NO land! We currently have 2300 plus square feet with 13.5 acres. It is now just DrHug and I and this is just way more than we can handle and work full time. :scared:

DrHug is still sleeping. He got a middle of the night call from DD,:headache: who was at work, that her dog was sick - throwing up, shaking, could not stand up  - and she asked if he would go get him. She felt we would be better to have him if he needed the vet rather than the friends that were watching him for her. I have no idea what time poor Dennis got to bed. :sad2: Dog seems fine this morning. We also still have other DD's 2 little dogs (second DD has a BIG dog!) that we are watching until tomorrow. The little ones are a handful Sweetpea has them completely spoiled  and they are VERY needy! I do lock them in their kennel at night. They do not get to sleep with grandma and grandpa! They move constantly!

Glad to hear their dog is doing better and I hope Dr. Hug is able to get some :cloud9:.
