Ok, so maybe this is sacrilege...but I was just reading a Palo thread, and Maybe we could focus on gluttony at brunch and lust at dinner. (I'm figuring most of the 7 Deadlies can get a workout before we come home. Sloth, yep. Greed, yep. Avarice and greed the same? What about covetousness and envy?? Don't see much need for those at least...Oh, anger, hope we can leave that at home--unless there are no Palo ressies to be had--but then I'd be swapping one for two if I don't get to go...)

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: That is good! The Seven Deallies on a cruise!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

I just read the same thread. We enjoyed our Palo dinner, and our server did bring us extra things to try, but they were smaller portions and she brought them to us to share. I understand about not wasting food. I suppose you could ask that your server not bring you anything you didn't order, however, I think trying new things is part of the Palo experience. You'll find that your servers will sometimes bring you extra things in the regular dining rooms, too. I think that Jim ate until he could hardly move a few times, but if you pace yourself and don't worry about leaving some on your plate, you'll be fine. I imagine that, when preparing the shopping lists for Palo, the chef includes the fact that extras will be offered, so you really aren't wasting the food. It's already prepared and has to be served to someone, and it won't last forever!

Step away from the bread! Don't eat much of the antipasta they bring, and pace yourself at mentioned above. :thumbsup2

ok who has any ideas of what type of clothes to take on this cruise? are you taking shorts? capri's? or what??? Please share with me the clothes you are taking - we will also be at Disney World before the cruise - thanks in advance!

We ordered room service every night on the 3 nite cruise. We had early dinner, got back to the room around midnite. The kids were hungry. They wanted the famed milk and cookies, we ordered the infamous cheese plate, DS wanted a hot dog, we ordred salads and cheese steak. DS and DD inhaled the crackers and the grapes, DH ate the cheese. Both nites DS ate his entire hotdog and the fries. THe cheese steak was awesome. They never finished the cookies though..they ate the real food. We did this all three nites. Room service is YUMMY!!

We were asleep by 11. :sad2: No midnight snacking for us old folks, gives us heartburn! :lmao:

I am still trying to figure that out. I will be packing shorts, capris, dresses, some dressy tops. How much of each I have no idea. Not sure what I am packing for dh. Shorts, jeans????, slacks, suit, tie, dress shirts, polo shirts. Oh, bathing suits :).

We'll probably travel in jeans, so we'll have those on the first and last day. For the ship, I'll hopefully have something kinda formal and DH will have his suit. Other than that, it'll be skirts/pants/khakis and polos/button-up shirts for dinners and then shorts and t-shirts during the day. We'll each have a pair of sandal/flip flop type shoes for days, DH will have his dress shoes and I'll probably have a couple pair of shoes in addition to the sandals.

I don't do capris just because I don't think I look good in them. I've seen lots of people in them though. :)

Same almost. We wear jeans on the plane to get there and when we disembark. Othewise, a pair of black dress pants for me with a couple of dressy tops for formal/semi formal, suit for Dennis. Khakis for Dennis with tropical button up shirts for dinner, sun dresses for me for dinner. Short/capris and t-shirts for me for daytime, khakis and tshirts for Dennis - he is not a shorts kind of guy, although I did just buy him yet another pair of shorts he will probably never wear! Crocks for him, sandals for me, dress shoes for him, one pair of strappy black heels for me. Swim suits and underwear for both! And of course our pirate outfits. I think that is it.

I think I have to take some of everything! Because we're starting our vacation by camping at WDW, and from experience I know that the weather can be very cold in early December, there will be jeans and sweatshirts. For exactly the same reason, except that I know from experience that the weather can be very warm in early December, there will be shorts, tee shirts and bathing suits! And for the ship, all those things plus a couple of nice outfits for dinner. In other words, I think I'll just pack my entire wardrobe. Jim wants to take one pair of pants, one shirt, socks, bathing suit and his winter coat:rotfl2:.

Wow, yesterday I checked and every cat from 4 - 11 was available with at least 6 -7 cabins in each category. Right now the only cats that come up are 4 & 5. Did they sell them or are they assigning our cabins and took them out of inventory??

I dunno. I checked earlier today and only saw 4, 5, & 6. Only three Cat 6 and seven Cat 5. But I think a lot of that depends on who you're looking through. I checked both Orbitz and Expedia and they both showed specific cabins for the 4, 5, and 6. Checked DCL site and they just show the 4 & 5. Maybe some TAs are holding some rooms? :confused3

Either way, it looks like we might be getting full up.

Oooh, I just had another thought! It might be that Disney is taking down options for booking because they're doing room assignments and need to have a clear picture without people booking halfway through their assigning.  One can hope anyway. :rolleyes1

That's what I was thinking...

Hmm, I can't even get in to check my reservation. I wanted to reconsider my excursions and I can't get it to recognize my name/password!

Heck, the only reason I am even on this cruise is because of the cut rate deal on Cat 12. I will take the 12 and be happy. Or, anything else and be happy. A real vacation...just me and DH for 7 nites... .

:thumbsup2 I have said many times .... just let me on the ship! I will sleep in a deck chair and shower at the spa.

We are Cat12 GTY and if we get a Cat12 cabin assignment then ..... :woohoo: :cheer2:

I have been trying to log onto the disneycruiseline website for 30 minutes and it won't let me.... I think I might be feeling

Same here, Beth. Glad to see it's not just me. I've been clearing my cache and reopening windows the last 10 minutes trying to get it to work. :lmao:

Looks like they're having trouble again.
