Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in ordering a lime green lanyard. They are sold in units of 100. If we don't need 100 between all of us, I'll see if the DISers on one of the other sailings want to buy some. Of course, this would mean we'd need to go with the generic wording.

Thanks!
Wendy

Almost 1/2 way there already :thumbsup2 I bet you'll get more takers as others check this thread tonight or through the day tomorrow.

Thanks for taking this "little project" on! :hippie:

Found a neat website to preview black friday ads. I will be out at 4:30 in full force with the rest of the crazies. Anything to avoid FIL and MIL.

Thanks! We're early shoppers on black Friday, too :thumbsup2 Last year was a new record for us. Oldest DS and hubby went to Best Buy around 5pm on Thanksgiving night and they were probably 20th in line. DS was buying a flat screen TV with his birthday money and DH picked up a laptop for our business.

Thankfully it is fairly mild this time of year, so the night wasn't totally unbearable. There was even someone who set up DJ equipment, so they had entertainment :cool1:

We don't need anything big this year, so we won't be getting quite as early a start as they did last year.

I posted earlier that today was the last NASCAR race of the season - just found out I'm wrong. Next week is the last one. :thumbsup2 Great another week of racing! Ummm...though for some reason ;) my family lovingly refers to my race watching as my "NASCAR nap", I wonder why :confused3

No problem! And yep it looks like we'll make the 100. :thumbsup2

Well, go ahead and put Tina and I down for two as well. We don't care if they're cruise specific or not. If they are, great. If not, that's ok too. :thumbsup2

I'll take one. I don't think DH would wear one. He will have his waterproof DCL box to hold his stuff.

It looks like the general preference is for wording specific to our cruise. So as long as we buy 100, what wording do we want?

Off the top of my head, and looking at the online order form, I think we can fit:

"DISing on the Disney Magic Dec 8-15 2007"

on the lanyard. And I was planning on using the Waltograph font in a dark blue.

Anyone have any other suggestions???

Thanks!
Wendy

I can't think of anything catchy at the moment. I think the one you put above would be fine. :)

How about "DIS Magic Secret Santa - Dec 8th 2007"? Or something similar.

We started going through our cruise closet this afternoon.

Binoculars
Lanyards with waterproof case for cash, ids, keycards
water socks
over the shoe door holder
Duct tape
ear plugs
digital clock
power strip
2.5 gallon ziptop bags

I've got some sad news. My grandfather passed away this morning. They lived near Springfield Missouri for many years after retiring, and I was only able to visit them a couple of times in the past 15 years. Last year they moved closer to family, both of my aunts live in Peru, Illinois. October 6th we celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary, and I was able to take all the kids to see them. Ryan who's 1 and Ben who's 5 met them for the first time. He had a severe case of asbestoses from working with asbestos back in the 70's and 80's. He was in the hospital for about a week, fighting to breath every second. When he was admitted he was at about 48% oxygen levels in his blood.

I knew this day was coming soon, when I saw him last month I could tell that he was tired of fighting, and I gave him a big hug and kiss on the cheek. I was glad that he got to see my children before he passed. My favorite memories are of playing pinochle with him, grandma, and my mom every time we met. Probably the hardest part is that my grandma is in the early stages of alzheimer's , and we're not sure if she's going to wake up tomorrow asking where Don is.

I don't want to drag down the mood here, we'll all have a lot of fun on the cruise, but I thought I'd share with you all. My mom is taking it very well. She's a lifetime nurse, and worked most of my childhood at a nursing home. She knows that Don is better where he is now, and that there's no more pain, and there's no more struggle for him.

Take care all, I'll talk to you again on Monday.

Jason
