We are thing on doing the vacation club. Will we get a better deal while on the ship?


DH went to the dvc on the ship. We also went to the one on land, since I didnt go on the ship, and we got the same salesperson!! It was the same deal, nothing special or different because you are on the ship. I was shocked that DH was interested after he heard the spiel. We actually bought it on land, and then ran the numbers, and decided financially it was cheaper for us not to buy. The maintenance fees for the number of points we were going to buy just wasn't cost effective for us.
 
Still no Brunch reservations for us. Gosh this just really puts a damper on the whole trip now. I have never been so disappointed. I guess it is just not meant to be.
 
Here's the Email I received from the Palo folks.....

As per our conversation, I removed the individual reservations that you and your guests booked online.

A Palo Dining Option of $10.00 per person is automatically added to the guests' shipboard account. Gratuity is not included.

Policy:

Guests must be 18 years or older to have Champagne Brunch at Palo

Dress Code

Cruise casual wear suggested

Cancellation

Cancellation fees do not apply for Champagne Brunch

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted.

Can I ask how many are in your crew? Did you log in and out, did you refresh, how did you do it?

Thanks, we have a crew of four. I will let you know that there is a good chance that someone or two in my group will not want to make the brunch. They are all duds.

I did not log in and out, if by refresh you mean...I left the computer, took a shower and when I got back the openings were available.

I am so sorry you couldn't get a reservation. :headache: :headache:

I showed finally availability for 1-2 for brunch. Tried to book for the only time available and then it said not available. Now I got the above message.

Wow, I thought my pics were huge at 3MB. Takes forever to email them.

Oh, I don't email the Raw files, and my large jpegs come out around 3-4MB each. I usually process them to smaller sizes, since a jpeg from my Rebel XT is like 3000x2400 pixels. That's huge for an email or the web. I usually use PhotoShop to resize them, but lately I've been using Adobe Light Room. I like that application, and was part of the beta testing for it. I'll usually resize them to something like 800x600, and that takes them to about 100 or so KB, so about a 1/10 of a Megabyte.

The DCL website is notorious for giving errors and acting up at times. WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE! So, for anyone experiencing difficulties, refresh or try again in a few minutes. Also, always makes sure to print any reservations you book online. I have a whole folder designated for our online reservations and registration.

Keep trying and the site will eventually get back to normal. :thumbsup2

Congratulations to those able to book the Palo Brunch so late in the game. You must be a VERY lucky person or have good karma. :goodvibes

Today was suppose to be my day off... Well my Best Friend called, She is also my Assistant Manager.. and She Begged me to come in.. So I did...

and I can not believe the turn out.. for Rudolph & Clairese.. :eek: I was only there 5 hours and in those 5 hours we sold 200 of each of them.. We only have 740 each of them.. That's it.. After those go their gone.. Never to return..

We are sold out completely of the Gold Bell Collars and The red & white polk a dot shoes that match Clairese's outfit.. :faint:

Today was their 1st day of release..

Of course I do have 2 sets with all clothes set aside for me, with the Polar bear and some outfits I need.. For my double discount day :rolleyes1

Totally locked out of the reservation site and so mad about having that brunch time only to have it then come up as not being available. This has TOTALLY ruined my opinion of DCL. The phone reservation lady was so rude and unhelpful.

I now cannot wait to get this trip over with.
