I had my first cruise dream last night. I forgot to pack our lime green shirts so no one knew who we were and we did not get to meet any one. (:confused3 maybe everyone else also fogot their shirts)
Also, all the hangers in our closet were rusty because the closet did not have a ceiling, it was open air. Anyone know what that means?

No idea what this means! :flower3: These dreams you all are having though are NOT Disney dreams. We need to get on to dreaming the wishes our hearts are making. :upsidedow

:goodvibes I don't want to get too mushy but our 7 year old made a cute statement right after we had signed the DVC paperwork. I was walking him out to the car and was explaining to him what we had bought and then told him that it was good for 50 years so that he and his siblings would be able to build memories with their kids one day. He said "thank you Daddy" and mentioned that he would make sure to bring his kids by to thank me and Mommy for this when they got older. When we were disussing how long 50 years was he said "and even if you are gone Daddy, I will bring the kids by your grave site and bring you flowers to thank you for this". I wasn't expecting to hear this from a 7 year old but I have to say I was choking up a bit. Kids are truly one of life's greatest gifts.

Priceless!

At the risk of losing some "manlyness" around here, I have to say that kind of choked me up too! Like you said you don't expect to hear a 7 year old say something like that and that was just incredibly sweet!!

DrHug just asked what's up on the Boards and I told him this sweet story. I have to say, he lost just a bit of his manliness also. ;) Then he said, no it just caused his allegies to act up making his eyes tear up and his nose run! :rolleyes1

That's odd because my allergies had been acting up too. Or was it the onions I was dicing? :goodvibes

Oooh, I used to dabble in dream interpretation. Not in the :hippie: way, but just for fun during a psychology class. The thing about dreams is that there is no one single interpretation for each symbol in them. So, a couple possibilities for this one is 1 - there are parts of yourself or your personality that you feel might not be accepted by others, so you keep it hidden for fear or rejection in a social situation. Or 2 - you feel yourself becoming closer and more transparent to the group of people in the dream and fear the loss of that closeness.

Possibility 3 is, of course, that dream interpretation is all hooey to begin with and you really were just thinking about rusty hangers :) As Freud supposedly said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. ;)

Wow... the allergies this morning. Must be all the smoke in the air....

That's a mighty strong sense of family and life for a 7 year old to have. Very impressive. :)

Got my youngest through his math, now to tackle Algebra! I keep telling DS, algebra will be the death of one of us. One good thing about homeschooling - if you didn't get it the first time, you have a chance to understand it now. I am finally starting to understand Algebra - scary!

Of course, I keep getting distracted and checking the DISboards! :thumbsup2 I don't want to miss anything!

6 weeks from today we'll be headed over to stay near the Port! :woohoo:

Hi, everyone!

I am such a nice person! I just gave my boss a Grandstand Pass to today's Breeder's Cup races. That means that he's gone for the afternoon;). The weather is awful and I just couldn't imagine sitting at the track in the pouring rain and predicted thunderstorms. He, on the other hand, thought it was a great idea.

Now for something different--I have a photo in this week's contest over on the photography board, and am currently in first place in my group. If you'd like to take a look, and maybe even vote, you can go here. There are some gorgeous pictures there, I'm really surprised that anyone but me voted for mine!

Very cool contest. Well I just voted and I am being 100% honest when I say at first I didn't even notice the names above the photos when I went through to pick my favorite. I really liked the sunset picture and when I went to vote...voila, it was yours. You just got another vote! :thumbsup2 That is a great photo Beth!

Beautiful Beth! :thumbsup2

And you're in the lead!!

Thanks! I took a bunch of photos of that sunset. It was a very warm December night, and a very nice CM came along and took a picture of Jim and me, which just popped up on my screensaver as I was typing this. I hope the weather is as great this December!

Bill and Jennifer, which Double Dip are you going on next year? I'm hoping you're on the Halloween cruise with us. :cool1:

Hi everyone !

I get to do a little DIS today. YAY !!!

I love it when I don't have to work. I get to be  with MrsMork  all day. :goodvibes

I can't even begin to ever catch up. I let Ang keep me posted.

Brack, any particular Monopoly pieces that you need? I am sorry to say that I don't have "THE PIECE" that counts; which is probably Boardwalk. Here's hoping though. I sometimes work at a WalMart that has a McDonalds. I like the Big and Nasty, er Tasty meal. I try to not to eat at McD's too much though. It's risky business nowadays.

6 weeks....woo hoo. And I haven't lost a pound. LOL! I have been down 10 and up 5, etc.:guilty: C'est La Vie.

I was looking through the "trial and travel" section at Wal-mart the other day and found a little bottle of All Small & Mighty or something like that. It's only the size of a travel size shampoo, but says it's two loads worth. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I'll have to look for that at our local Wal-Mart. Last year I did as Angie mentioned, I put powder detergent in baggies for each load. It worked out great. But, having it already bottled might be nice too.

Yes, it is impressive, and sweet.

I think it was all of the smoke in the air. I saw a satellite photo of the fire areas and it was amazing how much smoke there was drifting out over a very large area of the Pacific Ocean. WoW.:scared1:

I have many friends and relatives in the area. One of my friends lives in Jamul, and I can't get in touch with him and his family. I am praying that his house is safe. He had so much trouble getting it built recently. My Sis and her hubby are okay in Mission Viejo. The fire is 6 miles from them, which is where her old house was.

Aunt and Uncle in SDiego seem to be fine. Son and DIL Lancaster okay.

:grouphug: for everyone else, Cousin in Lake Elsinore area. Big Bear people too.

I remember a big fire in 1955 or 56, in Malibu area, that was similar to all of these fires. Not nearly as many houses all over So Cal back then. ANyway, after the fires we had really bad rainstorms and all of the debris washed up on the beaches. We lived on the beach at Sunset Beach, and the pile of debris was about 8 feet high. I sure found lots of good stuff.
Tennis balls, raquets, and one of the beach patrol guys found lots of unopened bottles of booze. I was only 12 and never touched the stuff.:rotfl2: (unlike nowadays). There was also a lot of lumber from the homes that burned. A lot of people were salvaging it. ANyway. All of the fires are nothing new, but wow, they are very bad this year. Too many nuts setting them. There was a psychic on TV at the beginning of the year that said there would be a lot of bad fires this year. Hmmmmmm?:scared1:

:sad2: Sorry, we're on the 5-Day Magic DD cruise right after the eastbound PC and right before drydock. We got a GREAT deal on this cruise. We recently found out it is completely booked. That really surprised me. But, maybe people on the eastbound PC cruise are staying on to continue the "magic"? That is the cruise we are in your current stateroom. I can't wait! :cool1:
