This is really cool, Ive never been on 2 cruises with the same Dis family !!

:woohoo:

:welcome:

Jump In & Join the Party !!! :cheer2:

There is a Link in my signature for our Secret Mickey Exchange and there is a Link in JsMom2 signature for other things planned..

I think I might decorate my stocking a little just to make sure it doesn't "wander off." Though, looking at the fish, I don't think the regular loop will fit over the fish anyway, so I'll probably end up bringing a zip tie to secure it to the fish.

The thing with the Cat 12 gty is that Disney was running a $599 per person on it as a special. I think a lot of people have discovered it's too good a deal to pass up and have booked last minute. Quite a few new people have popped into the thread in the last few weeks because of the deal... including me!

good idea about the zip tie. I love the stocking idea and Christmas theme. we actually moved to FL a year ago and we dont have any family close, so this cruise is supposed to lift our spirits.

Oh, the fl resident rate four us was not far off at all and we got cat 9. So, i guess we got a good deal too. Thats what I told DH anyway:rolleyes1

So Pooh_Girl was asking me a question and I thought I would double check on here to make sure I was telling her right. So if we book a GTY Cat 12, we get the difference back, whatever that is. And if there are no Cat 12s available, then they upgrade you to another room?? Is that correct so far?? So if we went from our Cat 11 down to a GTY Cat 12, we might get a Cat 12 and we might get a Cat HIGHER than our 11, right?? And Disney doesn't charge you for the upgrade, it's just part of the Disney Customer Service Gamble. Am I telling her everything right? Thanks!!!!

We got the Florida resident rate too.. We have a house in Winter Garden.. And was told as long as I bring Utility bills as proof we qualify :woohoo: We saved almost $600.. We are in a Category 8

It's either that or we are all sleeping on Deck 10 and showering at the Visata Spa. :lmao: :woohoo:

The only thing we're trying to decide is do you give up a great location that we have, being next to the "secret" deck and close to the back stairs to topsiders, and possibly get up to around $500 back, versus the chance of getting a Cat 12-9 possibly on a lower deck?? :confused3 Decisions decisions!!! We can't decide!!!!!! :sad2:

I've been on deck 2 and deck 6. I actually liked 2 better. Even though it wasn't as convenient to Topsiders, it was closer to most other things since a lot of stuff is on Deck 3. So if you're in an 11 now, the "worst" you could get is a 12 which is exactly the same as an 11 except on Deck 2. I'd say it's worth $500, but that's just me. You could also get upgraded to a 9 and have a porthole, but that would also be on Deck 1 or 2.

1. What is your favorite special feature on a DVD? How it was made. Love the magic BEHIND the movies
2. What would be the three main rules if you ran your own country? Men must lower the seat, chocolate for women would be free
3. Coke or Pepsi? Neither, we do not drink soda in our family
4. What villain from literature or history do you relate to the most? Professor Snape
5. Dogs or Cats and Why? Love them, but allergic to dogs and cats

When the CM told me I was getting $770.00 back, I still get our $200 room credit for booking onboard, we get to eat the same, the shows are the same .......

I pondered this for a total of 2 seconds before I said "DO IT!"
:woohoo:

Can I jump in? Very, very late....I know!! It was a last minute decision. Just booked it this afternoon :cool1:
It is sooooo hard to give up those Fl resident rates.

We actually just cruised on 9/15, which was our first and we are now hooked.

I know that there is no way I can read all these posts....what a lively group!

So, what do you all have planned?

Im so excited! I still can't believe we are booked.

Ooo! More little girls! AND another set of twins! Wow!

And welcome to the parents too. ;)

I'm still at camp in WV by myself.

Today I helped teach a class in Powerpoint and then attended a class in MediaShout. The latter is really neat presentation software.

Tomorrow we are doing LotusNotes, Excel and Word. This is training that my IT Department puts on several times each year. It's the first time we can do it at camp because of now having the satellite access to the internet. :surfweb:

I used to administer "distance education". Now it's just...normal. How neat that you can participate so easily and still spend time away.

"Camp" = cottage or cabin? Hunting camp? I have a friend in MS who has explained something of the importance of the hunting camp in their family, a real tradition. Same?

And, on the laundry thing--you need to spend some time with my dh. Maybe it'll rub off??
