Dh and I love Tim Horton's!!! We've driven to Economy,NS a couple of times and ordered our 'double-double's'!:woohoo:

The word is spreading. :goodvibes We've come across a few in New England, didn't know it was any further than that. "Double double" is an official entry in the Canadian dictionary.

:guilty: I'm feeling a bit let down today...we were supposed to cruise today. I know that we postponed for a good reason, but it's still a bit sad since we planned for so long and were looking forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary on the ship.

That being said, I need some DIS magic to help me feel better... Tell me about a December cruise. What do you think about having the ship decorated for Christmas? How is the weather? We've never been on a cruise before so give me all the MAGICal details!

I'm sorry, Tracy, that must be disappointing. However, you can always reschedule your anniversary--we've done that a lot since the kids came along! ;) We're celebrating our 20th on the cruise, postponed from July 11. (We were in the middle of selling our house and moving, dh had just started a new job--we didn't even get out for dinner.) So, cheers, and maybe we can share a bottle of bubbly and a toast.

This is our first cruise too--but I'm looking forward to the kids having somewhere safe and engaging to play without me!! Also we are all excited about the secret Santa. I wasn't thinking it'd be Christmassy, but apparently it will, hadn't thought of that. I think Brack posted some pictures of the decorations about a week ago? It's a LOT of sifting through pages, but I do think it was last weekend...maybe Brack remembers.

AND, you are somewhere cold too? I am really looking forward to ditching snowboots for sandals. Plus I figure the "re-entry" will be easier b/c it'll be nearly Christmas when we get home. Last year we went to WDW in Jan/Feb and came home to...dark days, snow, and no holiday til Easter.

Anyway, cheer up, it's gonna be great! :thumbsup2

Good Morning!
Stacy, You were doing better when you were trying to avoide ithe pirate:!:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I told you that was my plan to avoid the pirate: I need to really try to get it so I won't get it.. Then I can donate the ones I do have and start over :lmao:

awww

Well the ship looks BEAUTIFUL for Christmas and the Characters wear special Christmas attire.. Oh and don't forget about our Secret Mickey exchange :santa: so all our rooms with have Stockings hung on the fish with Care..

You can still celebrate your 10th Anniversary.. We will help you ;)

Weather is still warm enough for shorts.. I always bring a light sweater just in case the deck is chilly at night.. Normally we don't need to though..

WoW... on the DCL Double Dip next year... we just found out we have 400 dis'ers and their families and we have cruisemates from 5 different countries..

:dance3:

Also Jennifer told us there's a tree lighting ceremony the first night. Plus Castaway Cay will be decorated for Christmas too.

We didn't pick this timeframe for the Christmas decorations either, but it will be awesome to see!

Ok everyone, I need to get some sleep. Pooh_Girl and I have a BUSY day tomorrow!!! Enjoyed talking with everyone!!! (And BTW Stacy, Congrats on coming in so close on the pirate: !!) Also, does anyone know if there is a chat tomorrow night and what the website is for it?? Thanks!!!

Cruise chat is usually Friday nights at 9PM Eastern ......

....... but hey we can chat any night if we wish. The chat board is open.

Oops...I guess my Math degree didn't pay off there.

- Bill

My degree is in Electronic Engineering (which is very heavy in math and I work in Accounting now) but since calculators and spreadsheets came into being I have trouble with very simple math problems. I still stumble over my multiplication tables.

It is a great time to cruise! :woohoo:

I have posted several photos from the cruise last December with decorations. Go back and check them out.

It's 'Magical'! :santa:

I think seeing the ship decorated for Christmas is one of the big things getting me excited. I've never seen it around the holidays. We're also "kinda" cruising for our anniversary even though it's really in November. Due to DH's work, he can't really get away till the beginning of December, so this worked out perfectly.

Have you looked through the thread on the main board that's called DCL picture of the day? That's gotten me really excited too. :goodvibes

Just think of it this way... when you're on the cruise in December, you can look back and think "It woulda all been over by now if we'd gone in October!" :lmao: But, seriously, I can't imagine a more magical time at Disney than the holidays, so I'm really concentrating on seeing all the decorations for that. Any other time of the year, the ship looks the same!

And, Happy Anniversary! pixiedust:

I just saw a post on the Passporter cruise board that Cheryl's (latinqt) dh just had surgery... wanted to send prayers and positive thoughts to them.

:rolleyes1 Wow! It is quiet on here today. Bill (DH) just left for the store to get the ingredients for his yummy chili. :woohoo: So, I thought I'd log on to say "Hi!". We are having some friends over tomorrow to watch football. This will be the first time we get to "show off" the new tv. Will's (DS7) last football game of the season was today. :cool1: Phew! It was a commitment for us all with three practices a week and a game every Saturday. They didn't make the play-offs. :sad2: But, Will did get an award for Most Improved Player. We are VERY proud of him! :cheer2: This was his first year playing tackle football. Most of the other children had already played football last year. So, he was pretty much learning how to play the game this season. Now that he's got this initial learning year over, I hope he wants to play again next year. It was a fun experience for us all. :goodvibes

Tracy:

I'm sorry you had to reschedule your cruise. But, we are sure glad to have you join us! The :santa: December cruise is going to be so MAGICal.
You are in for a treat! :cool1:

I'm sorry to hear that. She hasn't been on here in awhile. I assume they are still cruising with us???????

Cheryl,

We wish your husband a speedy recovery. He is in our prayers.

Take Care,
Jennifer (& Family)

 Our camera broke on our first day at WDW before the cruise. We were so upset! The trip of our lifetime and we couldn't fully document it. The silly camera kept turning itself off and then the lense would not go back into the camera. We've since had it repaired. But, we don't have too many pictures of the cruise to share. Sorry. :sad2:
