Annette and I did a couple of cruises ago. It's cute and the kids seemed to really like it; especially the girls.

I am sure Emily will like it too. We have yet to make it to CRT at MK. So, it will be nice to do something "girly" for Emily. I am keeping my fingers crossed to get into CRT next September for her birthday dinner.

Like I posted, Emily and I plan to attend the Tea With Wendy. You are more than welcome to join us. I'll get an extra ticket. If you aren't doing anything at that time, come join us.

There is so much going onboard. I better remember to bring my highlighter this time to mark up the Navigator. We missed lots of character meetings and activities by not reading the Navigator correctly. The first cruise was our "Starter Cruise".

DH came home today from work and asks... Hon.. can you do me a favor? Sure, what do I need to do? Can you call DCL and see if we can upgrade to a 3 for December? Umm.. sure .. duhhhhhh

But.. as expected no 3 available.. plenty of 4 - 12 are though.. which means this cruise is nowhere near full...

So now I ask you... ya' think any one of us will get a surprise upgrade??

DH came home today from work and asks... Hon.. can you do me a favor? Sure, what do I need to do? Can you call DCL and see if we can upgrade to a 3 for December? Umm.. sure .. duhhhhhh

But.. as expected no 3 available.. plenty of 4 - 12 are though.. which means this cruise is nowhere near full...

So now I ask you... ya' think any one of us will get a surprise upgrade??

I'm guessing it depends on how many people jump at the Cat 12 GTY rate they have going. I know there's a few of us here already waiting on that. I don't have any "inside knowledge" of how the upgrades work, but I've never heard of anyone with a Cat 12 GTY being upgraded above a Cat 9 (though it might have been, I just haven't heard of it). So, it would make sense that if there are a lot of people taking advantage of the Cat 12 GTY, then it's gonna work its way up the ladder. The 9s will be upgrade to make room for the 12s, which means the 6s are upgraded to make room for the 9s, etc.

Or, I could be completely wrong. But it'd be cool to see a few people here that already have cabin assignments upgraded as well.

We are in an 8 so if we can come away with a 6 or better we'd be Very happy..

I chose an 8 because we've never had one.. and friends ask us if it is a nice room and I don't have an answer from experience so I said lets try it so I can give an experience 1st hand opinion..

I'm spoiled by DH so we have always had 6 or better..

6 & 7 are the same except for a solid verandah vs. an open verandah so I assume there is no difference in rooms only the verandah and maybe a feet feet of space..

Wow! I wish for you they had a Cat. 3 available. Isn't that where you were your last cruise? Has he been spoiled now? That is what Bill is afraid of. We are booked for a Cat. 3 our next cruise (Wendy's exact same room!). He doesn't want me to get too comfortable in the Cat. 3. We just got a great deal and figured it would be nice to see how the "other half" lived at least once! It would be nice when we cruise for our 20th Anniversary child-free to have the Roy or Walt Suite (hint! hint! ) Mind you, we are about to celebrate our 11th Anniversary next month. So, he has a "few" years to save for that one!

We are not expecting an upgrade, since we are already in a Cat. 4. If the Suites are already booked, there's nowhere for us to go. Maybe, some of you will get upgrade? We're sending pixie dust your way. . .

Bridget loves the castle, so glad we did it b/c she was so upset that we couldn't get into the castle for the first few days we were there (before our ressie, a relatively last minute cancellation catch; just she and I went so it was easier to get a seat). Anyway, she'll definitely be up for the tea also, and ds will go...I've told him they pick a couple of boys to be the little brothers.

So homeschooling is new for you guys? We've definitely thought about it (and I have a teaching background, though I've worked in adult ed for most of my career), but not that brave!

I love their strawberry ruhbarb pie *even if I can't spell it*
