Never rented one so I can't help there.

I don't know about "anything" but they sure try. We had an Indian waiter one cruise and we mentioned we liked curry and a mango creme drink that is an Indian favorite. He went back and had the chef make us some. :woohoo:

Lassi?

So, have you scoped out any good restaurants in port we should know about? Sounds like we have similar tastes.

As far as the same appetizer every night, I know they try to accommodate, but there might be a night or two where they just aren't serving a particular thing in any of the restaurants, so it might not be available.
.

Dd asked for the dancing banana.

Thanks for the link. And she'd be happy alternating shrimp and sushi. princess:

Hi everybody, ya'll, you guys,

I just finished my chowder and have to sign off now. I'll be back later I hope. Just trying to stay dry. It's a good test for the RV. No leaks so far. KOW.

Everyday, it's a gettin' closer............:cool1:    :cheer2: .

Ok First of all.. I am soooo disappointed in all of you :sad2:

I've been gone since midnight and only had to go back 3 and a half pages.. :sad2: How pathetic is that :rolleyes1

Hey! I'm doing my part! :surfweb: :lmao:

You heard the lady ...... post, post, post! :laundy:

It was raining so hard, here at the Coast, that my connection slowed way down. I am using the Treo 700P cellphone to connect. It has been rainy and windy all day today. Typical Oregon fall camping weather, only this year we don't have to tent it. Yeah! High and dry. I love the Coast when it's stormy.

No rain here. :confused3 We are about 9.5 inches behind in rain for the year.

Congratulations!

You are the one of the neatest couples I know. May you all have many more anniversaries!

Thank you! That really is an awesome compliment! I don't know if I posted it here or on the other 2 threads I am trying to keep up with, but I saw an article this week about a couple in Alabama that were celebrating their 80th wedding anniversary! Our goal is to beat that!

Now I may have seen that same article...was she, like, 13 or 14 when they married and everyone said it wouldn't last?? Very sweet story.

Lassi?

:confused3 We've never eaten ashore on our cruises except some Key Lime pie in Key West. Our DS and his wife did in Mexico but we just haven't done it.

So I'm not keeping track very well...

Who has rented/is renting formalwear? Did someone say it was about $120? THrough whom?

Ok, dh is sitting next to me and has questions. We've seen so many comments about how you can get anything...so, really, could he say, for example, I'd like my steak cut extra thick, with bearnaise sauce? And I read somewhere if there was something you liked you could request it over and over...like shrimp. Dd would have a shrimp appie every night, or sushi, if it was available.

And I know you can get Mickey bars, anyone see the Minnie bars? (Strawberry.) They're dd's favourite.

Ok, enough for now. :goodvibes Pretty quiet today.
Sometimes you don't even have to ask, you just have to say you like something and it appears! For example, on our first 7 day cruise we were thinking surely they would have Key Lime pie as a dessert sometime during the cruise. We LOVE that. Well, we mentioned to our server (Adrian) on the next to the last night that we really hoped it was on the menu the last night. Well, a Key Lime pie appeared at our table the last night. It was not on the menu, but we said we love it and Adrian talked with the pastry chef, who made one just for us! Just ask for anything you crave. If at all possible they will accomodate. Our DGS7 and fellow cruiser Savannah (also 7 and now his betrothed) had a bucket of marichino (sp) cherries every night. Seemed they tried every night to give them even more than the night before! When we sailed on the 10 day there was a little boy that loved raspberries. He had a big bowl of raspberries for dessert every night, until the last night when they had run out!

The most we've done is McDonald's or something similar at the airport the night before. I won't let DH eat breakfast the day we're getting on the cruise. :lmao:

But seriously, we usually sleep as late as possible, then it's straight onto the bus to the port. We don't usually eat before noon anyway. Which is really odd cause I love breakfast foods. Going to Topsiders for breakfast is one of my favorite dining things on the cruise.

What sweet stories, Angie! Really makes me look forward even more--even if we don't request anything special ourselves.
