It is a great deal. Our membership has paid for itself already, assuming we would have done all of the cruises and stuff. I don't think we would have been able to though, because it would have cost us way more. I keep trying to talk Angie into "just a few more points". It's cheaper than a nursing home. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

I've mentioned more points to Annette but all I get is the "LOOK"! :scared:

It's not that she doesn't like DVC but she is a lot more practical than I am. She says that she likes to eat. :confused3

Hey! Disney should open a Mickey's Mansion, or something like that. How cool would a Disney Old Folk's home be?:confused3

Then they could put all of us old folks to work there! :thumbsup2

First dibs on the horse drawn wagon. :yay:

I'm listening to DISRadio and they are playing "Be Depressed" from Forbidden Broadway. How odd!

Disney uses http://www.cruiselineformal.com/index.html for their delivered formal wear. You order it up, and they deliver it to your stateroom.

I'm not sure about things like ordering a steak cut extra thick. With the number of plates they're putting out every night, I'm pretty sure they bring everything aboard pre-cut in standard sizes. But he could definitely order two of them if he wanted them. As far as the same appetizer every night, I know they try to accommodate, but there might be a night or two where they just aren't serving a particular thing in any of the restaurants, so it might not be available.

I've never heard anyone mention the Minnie bars, but you could always ask! Like I said, they do try to fill requests as much as possible.

Yes. Be sure to ask a bit ahead of time. You may be surprised. We were once the only table on the whole cruise that had Key Lime pie. It was a surprise, and specially made for us by one of the Pastry Chefs, by request of one of our favorite servers. We mentioned, at one of the meals, how disappointed we were that there was no Key Lime Pie on any of the menus for the cruise. We didn't even have to ask. That was on our first 7 day Eastern. :cloud9: Boy, did we feel special.

Sneaking up on it ....

Great shot Brack! Here's looking at you! :thumbsup2 I love Mantises. When I was in RVN we had a big one as a pet. He would hiss at us sometimes, but it was cool the way he reacted to us in general. We made a little collar and leash for him and he would ride on our shoulders. We didn't keep him for long, of course, but he was well taken care of while we had him. I like the way they can turn their heads and follow you with their eyes. He probably lost his head eventually, over some female. :rotfl: :rotfl: I did too.

Oh! I know that look. ;) :lmao:

Hi, everybody!

Just trying to catch up a bit. I decided to relax today and try to beat this cold, but right now, I think it's winning.

DH will be wearing a rented tux on formal night, unless we find a really good deal on buying one between now and then. He will probably wear it on semi-formal night too, and we'll really dress up (we're going to Palo that night). I'll be wearing a very nice gown, which as we know from a previous discussion will show off my attributes!

We won't be dressing up for Pirate Night. We have so much stuff that we have to carry that Pirate stuff is at the bottom of the list. We enjoyed the Pirate night stuff on our last two cruises, but we just aren't "dressing up as pirates" kind of people.

Now, it's back to sipping hot tea and trying to get this cold out of the way!

Ok First of all.. I am soooo disappointed in all of you :sad2:

I've been gone since midnight and only had to go back 3 and a half pages.. :sad2: How pathetic is that :rolleyes1

Ok... so anyway...

DH wears a Suit and Not a Tux to formal night, we never tried renting one directly for DCL

No, we don't dress for Pirate night. I would love to but DH won't :guilty:

At work I found out that we are dressing up for Halloween from the 25- 31 so now I need a costume for the 30th which is our Trick or Treat and the 31st cause it is Halloween.. but noone can wear anything scary... I was thinking maybe just putting on my NJ Devils jersey

and since the 24 - 28 we will be in WDW & MNSSHP :cheer2: and DH & DS won't dress up.. at least I won't feel out of place dressing up at work..

So.. Now I have a discussion question... Do any of you play Shuffle Board? Would you all like to have a friendly game with us Dis'ers ? I thought maybe we could have a Dis' game of shuffleboard maybe during an at sea day or something.. :confused3

Trust me I feel your pain... The flu I had last week kicked my butt hard.. I drank lots of herbal Tea and vitamin water.. I hope you feel better soon..

As for your dress and your attributes.. I've been shopping for some new fancy accessories.. Like BIG Fancy pins... :rolleyes1 of course mine will have cubics and not real diamonds..

We have been known to play shuffleboard on occasion. We used to play a lot when we were younger and spent our weekends camping. We didn't play for around 15 years, and played again on our last cruise. We might consider a challenging game of shuffleboard among DIS'ers!

My dh got a pedicure before our last trip south (no polish) and looooooved it. I had one too (yes polish) and I'd highly recommend it, even for the boys! Even his involved lots of scrubbing, warm water, and a foot and calf massage. He said (have I told this story here before?) it's the closest he ever came to cheating on me. :lmao:

Ive never had a pedicure but it sounds so nice... My problems are 1. I hate feet.. even my own.. and 2. Im tickelish and Id probably jump everytime she grabs my foot..

:scared1:

It's been a slow weekend in here. I worked somewhere one Halloween where we did a week of costumes. I love dressing up for Halloween. I'm trying to remember them all. I know I wore all white one day with bunny ears and a cotton tailed pinned in. I did face paint to make me into a bunny. Another day I did a 50's thing with a poodle skirt and hair up in a ponytail with a chiffon scarf. I wore a Ren Faire outfit I had another day to be a wench pirate:

I've never really played shuffleboard. Just to the extent of knocking around the pucks some. I'm guessing the scoring is pretty straightforward? I always have to make DH score when we play darts. All the different rings and their multiples confuse me.

Just realized... two months from right now, I'll be checking in at the MCO Hyatt!

It was raining so hard, here at the Coast, that my connection slowed way down. I am using the Treo 700P cellphone to connect. It has been rainy and windy all day today. Typical Oregon fall camping weather, only this year we don't have to tent it. Yeah! High and dry. I love the Coast when it's stormy.

Angie is making us some clam chowder. Yummy! It matches the salt scent of the air here.

OOOOOh, that's good,......... thick and creamy.
