I got my tag fairy tag in the cruise forums. As you can probably tell from my board name, they're pretty much the only one I frequent

But that was yonks ago... probably sometime around 2004. Could be that one of the moderators who could do it at the time was a cruise board addict but then quit doing it.

I had tags prior to these and I erased them on total accident
Who knew updating your profile would make them disappear

When I first started here I had no clue what they were until a Fairy showed up into my post and told me to behave..

We bought a cup of Hot Tea & a Cookie for a CM who had to stain out in the rain once and she thanked us a hundred times.. She would sneak sips since she was "on duty" and not suppose to be eatting or drinking..

It really is sad that you have to think "worst case scenario" now just to keep kids safe. I remember when we were kids, we'd run around outside, ride our bikes, hang out at the mall on Friday nights. But yeah, now you have to worry about a 15 year old running off with a sex offender. Did you guys read about that?

And with all the sickos out there... yeah... it baffles the mind. But it's made people completely paranoid about simple things...even cards. Even so, I travel quite a bit and I have to admit that I'm very cynical about a local offering "help." You just read too much these days about people scamming tourists. It's so sad.

DS well he doesn't do pins anymore, he is too "olddddddddddddddd" but I still do.. anyway... DS & I would run around and trade every CM we saw just to see who could have fresh new pins the fastest.. as well as to see how many times we could trade our whole landyard..

I honestly can't even remember what my tag is in reference to. I tried to search my past posts the other day, but I don't think it goes back that far.

Speaking of which... does anyone else have trouble with the DIS board search function? According to the search engine, no one on the Cruise board has ever mentioned St Thomas, Coral World, or Coki Beach. And I searched *loads* of ways.

1. my son is Not stupid.. he knows better then to meet a stranger
2. Even if he didn't have any personal info on his page, half his friends do and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put 2 & 2 together
3. He is on my friend's list as my #1 person, I see his page every day
oh and 4 he keeps his on private so you need to know him to view it, as I do mine...

If parents were more involved and teach their kids better, maybe we wouldn't have so many problems...

Ohhh don't get me started.. DS and I both have a My Space page and I get riddiculed by strangers ALL the time for allowing him to have one..

1. my son is Not stupid.. he knows better then to meet a stranger

No, I completely agree. When you see kids do competley insane things like hold up a 7-11 to steal some Twinkies, you've gotta wonder... just how involved are those parents? I know not all cases can be blamed on parents because there are gonna be stories you hear that just come out of left field and no one ever saw coming.

My DH is in the video games industry so we have pretty involved discussions about what is and isn't suitable for children in that area. But it seems like so many people treat TV, video games, and the internet as a babysitter for their kids these days. There's no way I'd leave my kid unsupervised on the 'net. Heck, I'm old and married and *I* even get weirdos propositioning me.

Oh I agree... and the more you restrict, the more the will go to a friends house or sneak it.. That's why I have always Talked to DS about it and often and open as possible
