So Stacy are you showing off or sharing? ;) Loved those Christmas graphics, especially the Stitch one. (Ds is a Stitch nut--you should hear him "speak Stitch". It keeps getting him in trouble in school!) Wendy just browsed yours too, will be downloading a bunch, thanks!

Funny I was thinking we'd sort of be "skipping out" on the whole Christmas thing, you know, no snow and all that...sounds like if anything we'll be upping the kids' December frenzy. LOVED the pics of Castaway Cay too. Not sure if we'll have any time in Orlando before/after, but hoping to catch some of the decorations there too.

Mommyoftwinfants, are you able to book anything online? I wasn't able to get brunch OR ANYTHING at Palo. (And I still can't get in to "my cruise plans"; I'm getting paranoid. TIme to bug my TA...)

I was able to go online and book the kids club but that was it.

I did manage to get in to book my excursion, still nothing for Palo. But I had already booked the Stingray adventure at CC, and it absolutely disappeared. I got it again for the same time, but I'm a little concerned that (a) it'll disappear again and we'll be left without or (b) that the original ressie still exists somewhere and I'll end up paying for 4 people instead of two...

Here's the updated info on the Secret Mickey Exchange:

M F
Adults...................19 + 25 = 44
Teens (13-17).........3 + 0 = 3
Tweens (10-12).......1 + 1 = 2
Lab Kids (8-9).........2 + 1 = 3
Club Kids (5-7)........5 + 2 = 7
Jr Club Kids (3-4)....0 + 1 = 1
Flounders................3 + 1 = 4
Total.......................29 + 26 = 56

Total Cabins = 24

We just can't understand people that don't "get it" either. :confused3 We are both still kids at heart and being at Disney allows the real us to come out. :dance3: Golly, I would hate to have to spend my whole life being and adult!! That is no fun!

This is how we live our lives too! We will never be too old to be kids!

Yes, I think so...we are GMT -4. Sorry if this seems really dense, but you're military? My BIL was stationed in Germany (Cdn Forces Base of course, but lots of US ones nearby then) in the 70's and 80's. Dh (then BF) spent a year as a civilian at CFB Lahr in the Black Forest--that's where we got engaged a million years ago when I visited him. We really hoped that he would be able to stay on and I could join him there, but b/c he wasn't military, the health insurance would've been prohibitive...

ETA as I'm finally catching up...um, have you actually eaten dulse? I have, maybe once. Bleah.

I'm usually GMT+1, but right now we are GMT+2 because of Daylight Savings Time. My DD was born in Germany!

Uh no, I have NEVER eaten dulse. But then I also don't eat any meat on a bone, recognizable body parts, or sushi.

You won't get charged twice, unless for some reason they have all of you booked in the morning and then again in the afternoon (if that is even an option). When you get to your cabin, all your shore excursion tickets will be waiting for you. If you do get double what you need, just visit the shore excursion desk to get it straightened out.

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! :)

This discussion has me humming the old Toys R' Us jingle:

"I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Disney big kid"

:rockband:

I know this is probably a little off topic but I had a real eye opening experience  when I was at our manager conference at Disney World. There were numerous people that were bad mouthing this and complaining about that and were ready to go home as soon as they got there. In fact, we got souvenir Mickey ears with our names embroidered on the back and one person had the audacity to throw them away as soon as he got to his hotel room. And he bragged about it! The funny thing was that I didn't feel angry but rather sad. I was sad for them that they couldn't feel the "magic" :wizard: of Disney. Call me an old sentimental fool (no age comments Jennifer :)), but I do "feel it" when I at WDW or especialy on a cruise and I am a kid all over again. Jennifer will tell that I am big kid on the inside, and you know what...I am OK with that. It keeps me feeling young and helps me keep my sanity in a hectic and stressful environment at work. I don't want this to sound like a religious speech, but I hope those people at the offsite can one day feel it as well and experience the magic that we all have.

Speaking of the offsite, I made the mistake of telling my team back at home ALL of the details. For the week they had each table designated as one of the Disney characters as you would have to compete against the others on certain things. Well the table I was at got Tinkerbell. Jennifer would have been happy :) but the guys at the table were looking to trade. No takers. ;) Well we affectionately became known as "Team Tinkerbell" all week and in fact ended up embracing the name. :cheer2: Well I made the "mistake" of telling my team at our home office about this and they are having a field day with it. I hear "Team Tinkerbell" at least once a day and in fact one of my creative engineers even came up with the following:

scary.jpg

All I could tell them was that green is not my color. :lmao: Man that is a disturbing picture.

Anyways, thought I would share in my fun. :goodvibes

Don't show that to the kids, or they will have nightmares all night. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Sounds cool, can you post a picture?

Unfortunately, it's back East at my parents' house. We moved to California 3 years ago and realized it was cheaper to just set up house again than it was to hire a moving company to pack and ship what we had. So all that came from Virginia was what I could fit into my car. It ended up mostly being computers and DH's games :headache:

Every time I go back to visit though, my mom makes me take another suitcase full of stuff back with me. Something along the lines of "Get all this junk out of my house!" :lmao:

I'm about 90% there on buying into SSR. But I'm trying to figure out how many points.

How comfortable are the sofa beds.:confused3

And for Bill and Jennifer....
I saw on the DVC forum that if you close by the end of November and use a Disney Visa for part of your deposit that you get 500 Disney Dollars!

I'm off to go do the Boot Scootin' thing. I'll catch up with ya'll when I get back. :hippie:

So... life has decided to take a big ole chunk out of my hindquarters.

Was all set last night with the quote for this cruise... got the TA to offer an On Board Credit... printed it all out, put on my sequined formal gown and presented it to DH a la Vanna White. He asks me one question.... just *one*.... which I go to look up on my computer, only to find out my computer has imploded.

So, he stayed up till 2am reformating it and reinstalling Windows, etc. I've been told to test drive it today and see if it holds or see if it shuts itself down again. If it bites the dust again today, we go out tonight to buy a new computer. If it holds, I can request another quote for the cruise. But he's saying the money is only going to one or the other.

I'm kinda bummed :sad1:
