08 DEC 2007 - 7 Day Eastern Magic Part 2

If we go, we are doing the holiday party on Thursday night and the MK on Friday all day and then drive to the port. It would save a bit on ticket.

I missed all the drama. I cannot believe how this thread grows!

We're not planning on going to the parks this time either. Short tickets are sooo expensive, and the no-expiry option doesn't seem worth it. Dh had an AP last year for the hotel discounts and he's really spoiled--can't imagine paying a fortune for a day or two. Makes MVMCP almost look like a bargain! But I'm still not convinced my kids are old enough to stay up late and take advantage of the party. (Especially as we're already going to bed an hour later just b/c of the time change.) Hoping a trip to DTD and maybe breakfast at Ohana will seem close enough. And maybe we'll ride the monorail from resort to resort just for fun. ;)

Same here. With kids 14, 9, 6, and 2, we're not sure we'd get our money's worth out of the MVMCP. I would love to go...

She was misquoting all kinds of things to Bill. He told her to get out of our reservation before she changed or cancelled anything! :scared1:

Oh, that made me laugh.

So Jennifer, she-of-the-age-and-gender-matched-children, that's the second time you've said your kids can manage to enjoy things later in the evening. Are they naturally night owls, or do you just manage their schedule? Dd is a night owl, would stay up all night if we'd let her (and then sleep in til lunch--it's gonna be fun when she's a teen :scared1: ), but ds is up at 6:30 and either asleep by 9 or unlivably grumpy...

Okay, now that the pirate is gone everyone goes away. pirate:

(I know Bill had a meeting to attend, but what is everyone else doing?)

When we went to the PPP my guys did not want to leave, they had so much fun needles to say we left when it was closing time. The fell asleep the second the driver turned the lights out and were up at 7:00 the next morning ready to go to AK.

 Good Influence:
He just booked us at the Boardwalk for the night after we disembark from the cruise!

We'll be nearby ya Jennifer!! We're staying that night and the next at the Contemporary!!

Our children ARE night owls if we let them. We try and get them into bed at a decent hour at home. On vacation, our schedule is all out of whack. Last year, we were at MK at midnight with the kids riding all the attractions in Fantasy Land with no waits. They were so cute and full of energy running around to all the rides. It was the best night of our WDW vacation!:goodvibes

had to get some work done.
:scared1: Work getting in the way of your DISing. Now you see why I put Judy's quote in our signature! :lmao: Anticipating the upcoming cruise is a nice light at then end of the tunnel after all the chaos of every day life! :cloud9:

Two of our kids are night owls as well, they'll stay up playing all night if we let them - they take after me. The other two are not, and will be sleeping on the couch at 9pm, regardless of what is on TV. They take after my wife :)

When I started at Motorola I was working 12 hour days 4 days one week and 3 days the next week, rotating. It was night shift, so I worked from 4PM to 4AM. I loved that schedule, and I loved working nights. What I would do on the last day of each work week, I would stay up and go to bed about 9pm that day, and then be fully switched to "weekend" time, with being up during the day and sleeping at night.

Everytime she get mad at me I tell her "What are you going to do fire me??", Its funny because I have quite at least 3 times and she keeps calling me to come back and I always do.

I didn't know they decorated Castaway either.. When did they Start ?? or When do they decorate and undecorate? Cause we cruised for New Years 05/06 and it was already gone :guilty:

Awesome pictures by the way.. It makes me want to go NOW!!

We cruised the first week in January a few years ago and they had just taken them down.

DD is like her daddy. She absolutely is a night person. It makes getting up at 7AM for pre-K absolutely difficult. She easily goes late into the night on weekends and hates going to bed at 8PM.

We are thinking of getting DD this for her big gift this Hannukah.

Anyone else with a toddler seen this? It is supposed to be one of THE hot toys this year.

I've heard about it and think that it is pretty neat.

I didn't realize so many people were staying at WDW after the cruise too. I "casually" mentioned to Bill that I might be interested in staying a night near Epcot (our favorite park) after the cruise. He asked me today if I wanted some good news. . .
